If i could give 0 stars i would. They don't care whatsoever about veterans. They're supposed to call you back within 24 hrs and I've been calling for over a week and no answer or call back. RIDICULOUS!!!!!! I've even called the admin supervisor and SHE DOESNT EVER ANSWER EITHER. THIS PLACE FUCKING SUCKS

Its a good clinic for easy stuff. Same day appointments can be done, just come with tons of patience. Always clean and never a dull moment. Love the little vendor inside. Coffee is STRONG, but that can be expectedYou can pick up envelopes at the pharmacy to turn in old meds. And you can handle any travel pay issues at any of the check in areas. The staff here are always happy, funny, and good spirited and ready to help put at any turn. Wish they could do more stuff here like nuerology and womans clinic but its a good little clinic.

The Bakersfield VA clinic has always done a wonderful job for me and my needs for medical treatment. The staff has always been extremely courteous and helpful. I highly recommend this facility for any veterans in need of medical help. People must keep in mind, the services provided by the VA are at no cost to all eligible veteran.

Whenever I get sick, my primary doctor gives me cough medication that doesn't really help. She doesn't listen to what kind of medications I need. I have been coughing since November 25TH it is December 8TH. She requested that I drive, knowing that I am having shortness of breath and coughing, which I bruised my ribs, and my lower back is killing me. I took an in home covid test a couple of days ago it was negative; told me it was not accurate so I must come in today by 10 AM to get tested and go get a chest xray which was a 2 hours wait before she will give me antibiotics. I know I have bronchitis due to her lack of listening to her patient. No, doctor's doesn't know what they exposed us during the war, so our body are not like everyone else. For God sake, listen to us. I feel they do not care about the veteran like always. If we give you something stronger, you will get addicted to it. Give us what works for our body. I am tired of taking all these tests without the proper medications. I almost passed out due to a lack of oxygen. She didn't even speak with me but asked her nurse to call me. Oh yeah, their best response, go to urgent care or the ER. Seriously, I have all I need at home to help me breathe, but for you to tell me to get tested or no medication, really. We need doctors who do care for the well-being of veterans. I had seven different psychological doctors since I lived here in Bakersfield 2011. They wouldn't renew a doctor who does care and let her go.

This Va medical center is pretty good. They are very busy if you come as a walk in you will have to wait a while. It's best if you call and make an appointment they staff is very friendly some are not. This facility is a nonemergency center. They can take care of most of your needs but it's best to go to the LA VA. They have a dental clinic here so that's good they can handle your basic needs. My fellow Vets if you need help come here and the staff will lead you in the right direction.

Im greatful to be able to come to the VA clinic. .the staff is very helpful and it's fast pace . The doctors are very professional and friendly.

Well, let's see --- I'm a 71 yr old veteran of the Viet Nam era. I went to the Bakersfield VA and got charged $50 for an eye-Doctor visit, listed on the bill as outpatient visit. Then the following week went to see a regular Doctor there and asked for something to combat night time leg cramps. A few days later I got a 3 oz tube of Thera-Gesic creme in the mail, along with a bill for $8.00 Why? Thera-Gesic is an over-the-counter medication that anyone can get at Wal Mart for $3.38 for the 3 oz tube, or you can get a 5 oz. tube at Walgreen's for $5.79 ??? Way to treat your Vets huh?

I recommend this facility for your veterans services and needs. They are courageous and committed to your wellbeing.

Get rid of the plexiglass already; Covid is over. There's a sign that mentions patient confidentiality but you have to nearly yell all your life information to the person behind the plexiglass so they can hear you and everyone can hear your business. It's really annoying. Even the old vets who can barely hear have to keep repeating themselves and it sounds like the employee is yelling at them.
