If I could give 0 stars I would!! Bakersfield truck center has literally gone to the DOGS!! I will NEVER spend another cent there! I was there today for a part and there was only 1 person in line in front of me. It took the workers 25 minutes to even acknowledge my presence and after that it took another 20 minutes to help me which of course was a fail.We own several Freightliners and need to buy more. I will be taking my business to Peterbilt from now on.

When you can get help, it works out just fine. But you can hardly get anyone to answer the phone. You literally have to drive there to ask a simple question and their automated answering service is highly inaccurate. Example: "your wait time is less than 1 minute" but you'll be on hold for over 10 minutes without anyone to speak with... long enough to hang up and try again for the same exact issue. It could be an issue when trying to schedule a truck for maintenance. Ask your local mechanic who just orders parts and they will even say their customer service is lacking.

We cannot give enough praise for this place. Our 43' RV broke down and was towed here. We were expecting the worse based on the reviews but we didn't have much of a choice. The very next morning, Travis introduces himself and obtained some preliminary information and said the RV expert will be in at 8am. Promptly at 8am, Eugene (Mark) was at the door. Did i mention they allowed us to stay on the property in the RV, during this time?? 2 nights. Anyhow, He found the problem within minutes and gave us our options. Turns out it would have taken a week to get the part in but knowing we needed to get back home from vacation, Travis and Eugene gave a recommendation to get us back on the road (safely of course). To make matters even more complicated, the exact part we needed was not sold as an individual part. But, Travis did some digging and found one to be overnighted the next morning... on a Saturday. Travis and Eugene doNot typically work on weekends. But these two outstanding individuals came in on their time off on a Saturday and got this knocked out for us. We cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond to help us in a dire situation. I would highly recommend this for any RV freightliner issues. Outstanding service and outstanding staff. On a side note, my husband was pretty adamant about going to the Cummins repair but Ten West Towing recommended. Sure glad they did.

I don't know what's happening but Bakersfield truck Center is really dropping the ball. There's no need to have a sour and salty attitude things are tense as it is and you guys having that attitude just really makes nothing better. Be solid with your quotes and keep them. I wrote down the number I come to the store and I get a different price know if you guys are having I problems and what not I'm sure you have good benefits to go get that checked out. Wait times are also extremely long. You guys obviously don't care about helping the next customer obviously you guys are not happy but I can't say that about all of you guys there's one shorter fella in there that's a real go-getter and he's an older gentleman in the front parts counter. You guys need to hire more like him and get rid of the rest

I recently had a very expensive RV serviced under warrantee repair and as far as I can tell the job was done correctly, although it would appear that BTC knows very little about RV's, this is where Freightliner sent me. When I walked in to the very large business to pick up my RV, I ended up at a large counter where 5 men on computers and chatting amongst themselves did not acknowledge my existents until after about 3 minutes I interrupted them and asked if this is where I pick up my RV; I was told it was the next building over and apologized for interrupting, although they had no other customers. When I went next door, it was pretty much the same thing, the staff didn't seem to recognize me as a customer and chatted among themselves until one man asked what I was there for? As if he was annoyed that I was standing there for the last 15 minutes. He then went and got the keys and I asked if they would be bringing it up, but was told I had to go get it, which was in the back lined up with the trucks. The business is very impressive with tons of trucks being worked on and Im sure this business is very competent in what they do, but if you expect customer service or any kind of human acknowledgment or personal care, you are in the wrong place. I brought my RV back in June 2019 for a recall and had a great experience. Travis rolled out the red carpet and all staff was extremely helpful. As I have said before, this is an impressive operation with a large amount of diesel truck tractors being worked on; I always feel my RV is in competent hands here.

Makes me feel better reading these comments about the service team, Had to be towed in with truck being non operable over check engine turning on, and stalk switch right error fault coming up. When I picked up the truck they asked me why I brought in the truck if nothing absolutely nothing was wrong with it... then the guy at service desk says " say what you say there was nothing wrong with that truck"... yeah let me just lose time and money for the heck of it, service needs to work on attitude towards customers

We thought we were having problems with our motorhome transmission so we took it to the Bakersfield Truck Center. Travis assigned Eugene to diagnose the problem. Eugene rode in the motorhome with me for two hours with his computer hooked up. He did not find any problems.We did not have an appointment, but Travis immediately tasked Eugene to help us out. Both Travis and Eugene were responsive and professional. They listened to our concerns and did everything possible to diagnose the problem.I highly recommend Bakersfield Truck Center.

Every time I visit Bakersfield Truck Center it feels like I have to jump through hoops just to buy parts. They make you get a ticket to get helped and the people at the front counter don't even bother calling the number. Sometimes you have to wait 20-30 minutes just for the people at front the desk to tell you the part is not available/on back order. I'd rather visit the DMV
