Bakersfield Swim Academy

We have been taking our daughter to the parent and me class at BSA. Gracie is our instructor and she is phenomenal. She is so good at ensuring that parents feel comfortable when introducing new steps. We have loved our experience and absolutely recommend BSA to other parents without hesitation.

Maddie is so patient, so kind. Always has a smile on her face. No more than tour kids per swim coach provides lots of attention. The price for lessons is fair.

I wish I could give 2 ratings. Both of my kids learned to swim at BSA. Our family has had swimmers there almost continually for the last 16 years. The coaches and staff are outstanding and really deserve a 5. However, their billing department and customer service when you are no longer with them is below a 1. We stopped swimming with them in April and they continued to pull the auto pay out of our bank account through September.

I signed my daughter up just so she can be active, and she ended up joining the BSA swim team. BSA has the best coaches and staff. I couldn't be more pleased with this academy. My daughter loved the team and loves the lessons. After the swim team she continued with the lessons twice a week and it's worth the cost. We are always welcomed with a smile every day we walk in and the coaches are always wonderful.

So far happy with the baby swim class once a week. Reasonably priced but do have to pay a once a year membership fee of $45 then monthly price for the class you want to attend. Instructors are nice. Facility is small but that's okay with me, much more intimate (not too many people watching you swim or shower). My baby is super excited to go to class every week so mommy is happy.

My experience was this: For 30 mins in a class with four students, swim time for my kid was 12-15 mins per class. In my opinion that's not long enough for the price of $80 monthly. A total of 60 mins/1hr a month. Other places (not Bakersfield) allow 45-55 mins for same rate and 3 students max per class.

I been coming to Bakersfield Swim Academy for over a year now and my swim instructor Grace has helped me improve on many things I thought I had down. She's a kind, respectful, and so dedicated to helping me master all the strokes, flip turns, and etc. Grace also pushes me to my full potential and I appreciate her for that.

Awesome teachers for kids at different levels. Kids learn quickly when there's good focused instruction, so BSA trains their teachers well. Easy to work with staff. A selective schedule of classes to choose from. My kids love taking lessons here.

I am so impressed by the owner, front desk abs instructors!! The week of June 14-20 I took my grandson, Jaxon in for lessons as he at age 4 had a deep fear of the water! Wouldn't touch it in anyway! The personable and professionalism of this facility was over the top! The instructors were patient and spoke to him with a smile as well as calm voice while maintaining control of 3 other children. They bought in a second instructor on day 1 to work with his fears! The second day they continued with their patience and by the end of the the week he was putting his face in the water, blowing bubbles, kicking with face down and more importantly smiling as well as waving at me! Yesterday we went to a swim party abs he jumped in with joy! Thank Bakersfield Swim Academy managers and staff! Your the best!!!
