First just a word to the wise these fields are rented by permit only so don't get offended if someone tells you to leave because you are on their field. These fields are kept up well considering the current drought restrictions and the restrooms are always fairly clean for not being checked hourly like at a restaurant. The facility is nice and I look forward to the city eventually expanding and adding the proposed baseball fields and park. In my star rating I did NOT include that AYSO Region 73 runs from this location. It is not fair to rate a park well or poorly based on another organization.Since Region 73 doesn't have their own Yelp page at this point I will say look what you are getting into. AYSO has ALWAYS been a completely volunteer organization including the board members that put in countless hours to organize a great soccer season for the kids. If you want to complain about lack of coaches or referees...VOLUNTEER!!! This is our now 6th season being with this region and I'm thankful it is ran as well as it is considering some of the complaints I have heard about other California regions. We, as parents, put in a lot of time and effort so that our children can have a great experience and have fun learning a great sport. As for a previous review complaining of the price and telling the region to hire coaches....costs I'm sure you aren't considering: field maintenance, uniforms, lights for night practices during the week, picture package, awards for top teams, and one of the most important the insurance they are required to carry in case your child gets injured during practices or games!

Most horrible place I have ever place my son in. They are far from helpful at this location. They blame everything not going right on the lack of parents volunteers . The Coordinator" Lidia is absolutely no help what so ever. The day before the game and my son was barely placed on a team last night. No uniform yet and NO COACHES NO PRACTICE EITHER?? Lidia preseded to tell me that it's all fun for the kids. As if they wouldn't need stability. I also voiced my concerns about uniforms, the lack of practicing & no coaches. She told me that it's okay it's all about maintaining a fun environment for the kids. They tried to give me a pass for the fall instead of returning my money. An even though my husband paid cash he now has to wait a week to receive a check & he also had to send over a request email on why he wanted he money back.

The bathroom situation is disgusting during soccer tournaments. Only one is open and it has no soap, towels or seat covers. There's a huge line waiting to get in at all times. The men's was closed in the middle of the day for cleaning but no be bothered to open a second one and dozens of people were waiting in line. Parents pay a lot of money to enable their kids to play soccer. The least the site could do is open all the bathrooms and keep them clean!

Seems to be only soccer fields at the moment, but it looks like they will be expanding. Overall, this is a nice place.

This place is so bad!!!! They have a nice field and nice people in the registration area. I had my son in AYSO this year. They told me they were 30 coaches short. And that if someone didn't step up to coach for the team they weren't going to play. They also don't have referees the same thing with the coach thing. So no referee means not a valid game :( And we could not get our money back any more. This place is " ALL VOLUNTEERS" they should let parents know this ahead of time, makes me wonder what they do with all the money??? 30 coaches at about 8 kids per team, is 240 kids with out coaches X $130 they charged each parent per player is $31,200 I think they have enough to start paying someone to coach!! It's only 4 months long. I Will not put my kids in this place again.

Fields and restroom access are not handicap and senior friendly. What few access to stands dp not have any steps. They actually brought in a woman in one of the maintenance carts from an opposite direction from the parking lot. Couldn't find the an access ramp to restrooms.

Bakersfield Sports Village is a great place to practice and play; however, I can only wish I could say the same thing about the restrooms. They are disgusting! First of all as you enter you are welcomed by spider webs and black widows. The stalls do not have seat covers, and the toilet paper rolls are on the floor. Also as I was leaving I noticed wasp nests beginning to form. It is very dangerous for a child to go into these restrooms and negligent. Hopefully, action is taken to remediate this problem before anyone gets hurt.

Fields are ok, there's definitely lots of field space. My main complaint is the bathrooms. They are disgusting, and the snack bar being right next to them just makes my stomach turn. It's sad to see such a good company like State Farm donate these fields to the community, and for them to not keep them kept up and clean is just sad sad sad. I'm here now as I type this and just left the restroom. Not one stall in the women's bathroom has a seat cover, there's toilet paper all over the floor and none of the toilets are flushed. My husband says the men's bathroom is probably worse.
