Bakersfield Pizza & Bar

Been looking for a place that sells chorizo pizza since I moved from Oxnard and boy let me tell you, this became one of my favorite pizza places. I highly recommend a plain chorizo with pepperoni pizza! Really friendly service and the ambient is awesome.

In my whole life I have never felt compelled to make a review about any restaurant/bar before but Bakersfield Pizza & Bar gave me such a horrible experience I had to make one. I arrived at 4:45 pm and as I scanned the menu I noticed the couples special only after 5 pm. I spoke to the cashier and she said I would have to wait 15 because the sale wouldn't show on her register until 5 which I completely understood. I was more than willing to wait since I thought it was a great deal. I place my order and after 30 min the first dish came out. 1 hour goes by and I asked the server how much longer for the food to come out. She apologizes and claims she's already told the staff 3 times and she's sorry. At this point I'm not even mad as I gave them a chance to bring it out. I started to notice people who had just walked in after us had ordered, finished their food and walked out. 1 hour 30 minutes later I only received 1 meal of my couples special, mind you I spent $55. I spoke to the manager asking if they could just bag up my order as I just wanted my food and to go home. They said yes and they had me wait 15 more minutes! Then as I go to my car I noticed they forgot one order. This is when I got upset. I walk in and kindly ask for a refund. The manager refunds me and keeps my food. I told her if I was able to take the food as it was going to get thrown away anyways. It was the least she could do for me as I waited a total of 1 hour 45 min for 1 dish which was shared with my wife. She said she does plan to throw away the food in the trash can and that it is against her policy to let me take it. As a manager myself I was appalled by how she treated her customers when it was her and her staff that had messed up. She would rather waste food than make it right with the customer. Never going back here again.

Got the margarita pizza, wings, Thai salad, garlic fries. Probably wouldn't get the pizza anymore. Crust was no bueno, small little mozzarella balls and no basil. Sauce was overpowering. No salt on the fries and lemon and pepper wings. Nothing special about salad, chicken could've been heated. Probably won't be back

Another trip to Bakersfield Pizza & Bar, another happy customer!This time I ordered the Ricky Tony pizza. It is a delicious meat pizza with red sauce but with a garlic sauce drizzled on it. Very rich. Very filling. But very delicious!!We got the Garlic Bombs with marinara sauce. ALWAYS DELICIOUS!! I had never tried the onion rings so we decided to get them. They were so good. They had a lighter type breading on them and big onions. Very good. Try them!The restaurant has a nice vibe. The bar is big with plenty of seating. Full bar! Not just beer and wine. They make great drinks!! Lots of tables to sit at that aren't at the bar. The servers there are always friendly. They have desserts that are good too.

Stumbled upon this pizza joint while looking on yelp & saw that they had unique looking specialty pizza's! We ordered a large tropical thunder + a sampler plate for dinner & it did not disappoint. Unfortunately, we didn't get around to eating our sampler plate quick enough so everything was soggy :(, but the assortment of items was good for the price. The tropical thunder is definitely a spicy pizza w/ lots of kick bc of the jalapeño & the habanero drizzle, but you can definitely ask for it on the side if you're afraid of going overboard! We also got ranch + honey mustard to dip our pizzas in (which are an extra $1 for a 4 oz container).When we picked up, we thought the interior was pretty hip + the drinks looked decently priced too! We would totally return to sit in & try this place out!!

Best crust in town, fresh ingredients, friendly atmosphere and they have lots of options whether you are lactose intolerant or vegan. Check out the old Bakersfield Californian newspaper; the weather report cracks me up. Alejandro makes you feel like family and Cynthia makes you feel like you have been the best of friend for years!! Oh and you can't forget the Bartender, Tony, master of drink mixology! It's really a true Bakersfield experience. Don't miss out on their sister restaurant Camino Real, best tacos for you Tuesday and the Margaritas are amazing!! Get your Bakersfield eat on!! Bakersfield Pizza Company is Italian approved and Bakersfield loved.

We love this place. Can't say how awesome the fresh homemade food is here. Staff is great and they get you your food quick. Prices are good and love the ambiance of the place. If you're looking for s great local pizza place, check this place out.

This joint is awesome. It is a whole in the wall treasure it is a veteran owned business that has outstanding food and drinks it is a family joint they have a wide variety of food and drinks for all ages you will not be disappointed I highly recommend it the service and Atmosphere is outstanding go and check it out you will not be disappointed.

Amazing family friendly pizza joint. We went on a Friday night and this place was poppin'. Definitely had a positive vibe and the amount of people here raised our expectations. Place is open seating and you order at the counter or bar, they hand you a number and then you find a seat. There were no open seats when we arrived, but we ordered and were able to find a seat shortly after. Service was amazing. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. There was a young man bussing tables who was extremely friendly and helped us find a table and some drinks. The menu featured wings, salad, sandwiches and of course pizza. There are two crust options, thin and pan. There are some features specialty pizzas as well as build your own options. We opted for a large thin crust with pepperoni, mushroom and olives. Pizza came out in a reasonable amount of time given the traffic and it was hot and fresh. Pizza tasted great and enjoyed by all. The crust was thinner than expected and was not as filling as you may expect. I wish I'd sized up to the XL. We didn't order drinks, but there was a substantial drink menu and I smelled wood burning for a smoked old fashioned when I refilled my water. Great place to visit and I would not hesitate to return should I find myself in Bakersfield.

My family and I love this pizza. Good prices, the pies are made quick. not just thrown together. I love the basic pepperoni. They have a lot of nice things here, good things on the menu that always gets me coming back. The place its self is clean. I eel they put a lot of time and energy into making this stuff. Always spoke highly of them.
