Great Preschool! My two and four year old go here. Love how you can be involved and see what your child does each day. Community feel since it's a co-op and great teachers! Reasonable tuition. 2-day program and up to 5-day program options.

We love this preschool!!! They encourage parents to be involved at every turn. As a parent, I get to know all of the kids and other parents and it becomes more of a family. The teachers care for the child and their whole family. The director is incredibly warm, involved, and understanding when personal issues come up. They have loved on my family for years even though I have never served on the board or had time for extra involvement. My kids love the playground and enjoy going to school. I love staying current on what they are learning and being able to watch them interact with their friends. Highly recommend for parents wanting to be involved in their child's early education!

I love this preschool! My older boys went here and now my youngest goes here as well. It's a parent participation preschool so you get to be in class with your kids and see how their day goes and watch them learn new things. You also get to meet all the other parents and make new friends for yourself as well! And the affordability is certainly a plus! This is hands-down the best preschool in town!

Hands down best co-op preschool in town. My children love their teachers, always feel welcome & they are excited to go to school! My only regret is not finding this school earlier for my oldest to attend. If you are looking for a dedicated & friendly environment for your children to make friends, learn & make lasting memories Bakersfield Parent Nursery is the pre-school for you!

This preschool is supposed to be a parent participation cooperative, however it does not operate as one. Parents have very little involvement other than the work days they're scheduled, the committees they have to sign up for and the snack days they are scheduled. They have no rights to vote or make decisions. They're not invited to board meetings nor shown the record of accounts to see where the money they fundraise goes towards. The health of the children is at risk due to the fact the kids play in a sandbox cats use for a bathroom. Parents are made to scoop the poop and pee out every morning as part of their work schedule before the kids play in it. When a disease like Hand Foot and Mouth spreads, they don't report to the parents to let them know. When there is a child that is harming others such as biting, face clawing, hitting and kicking, they don't follow the policies they have stated in their handbook. I tried serving on the board to try and make changes for the better. I sadly learned the Director dictates every part of the preschool. She doesn't follow the bylaws of the board, she doesn't inform the parents properly regarding new hires. The board members are supposed to be voted in by the parents, but they are secretly picked by the Director and current board members instead. I do not recommend this Preschool to anyone.

My Niece and nephew both have attended this school. The teachers are thoughtful, kind and teach to the needs of each individual student. Definitely recommend this school to anyone looking for a parent participation school!

This is the best preschool in Bakersfield! My family found everything we were looking for at Bakersfield Parent Nursery. It's a safe and fun environment and community for kids to learn, grow, play and have a great preschool experience. The curriculum is comprehensive, hands-on, and parents get to participate, too. I was grateful to be part of my kids' learning experience and to get to know other parents with common interests. My kids graduated from BPN prepared for kindergarten and with a bunch of wonderful friends and I made some, too!

For any family still on the fence about this preschool, do not hesitate to become a part of this preschool family!! The teachers are the most loving, kind, and skilled in Bakersfield. They will help build your child up in confidence, prepare them (and you!) for what is ahead in learning, and show them how Teachers lead with kindness & respect for the students. You as a parent will also build friendships that will last a lifetime. Your child is not a number here, they are seen for the individual they are. You will love it! Amber is a treasure. My kids are 19 & 15 now. I could not be more thankful looking back on the experience they had at preschool. This unique preschool is a blessing.

Best co-op preschool around! I was looking for a preschool were I could participate in as well as my daughter be able to have fun in play, and learn as well. Well we found it. We loved it so much, my two younger boys have stared as well. The teachers are awesome and they truly care about your kiddos. I would totally recommend it to anyone who wants to be involved in their children's social, learning and playing skills. Thank you for BPN for being a big part of my children's early life!

We love Bakersfield Parent Nursery! This will be our fourth year there, with two kids having gone there. The teachers are very caring and work hard to meet the individual needs of the students. It's great to be able to work in the classroom because we can be part of all of the thoughtfully-planned projects and activities going on, can get to know the other kids in the class, and can see our own child in action! There's a great community feel at the school with all of the families involved in the co-op. We have found the teachers and school director to all be very approachable and invested in the students' success. We just got a preview of the classroom for this year at Open House, and my son can't wait for the school year to start!
