Bakersfield Inn and Suites

Good hotel for the price. I mean it was cheap and the rooms were kept clean despite the outside. The parking lot is gated so you don't have to worry about your car getting broken into. I can't understand the bad reviews for this place. What was really nice was even though they only had none smoking rooms, I was able to smoke outside just fine without anyone kicking me out. Hell I straight up had sex, screaming into the middle of the night and nobody was bothered, no noise complaints. This is my kind of hotel, your free to do what you want. If you prefer a quiet orderly place, this is not the hotel for you. If you need a place to crash with your hook up, or your a smoker like me then look no further. Sure the outside might look terrible, but everyone keeps to themselves and it's quiet enough. Once your in a room it's nice and clean and doesn't smell. At a competitive price that keeps up with motel six how can you go wrong? My only complaint that I'd take a star off is the check-in desk. Seriously you have to wait like an hour for someone to check you in! What the hell? Does nobody work here at this place? Seriously, hire some better staff and this hotel wouldn't be half bad. Fire the freaking night check-in or give em a warning jeeze, lazy help these days. I mean it should not take 30 minutes to an hour to wait at check-in, period.

Bad experience. Friendly front desk person. The room is smelly, bed covers dirty, bathtub dirty, overall state of the room disgusting. Front desk was kind to move us to another room, but unfortunately, its the same. So we decided to just move out. We went to super 8 and the experience is 5 star!

While the appliances worked well (refrigerator, heater, and microwave) the Overall cleanliness of the room was questionable. I pretty much had to gather my belongings in the middle of the night at around 12:45am because I was being bitten on the face by a bed bug. I caught the bed bug and took pictures for proof. I literally could not go back to sleep so I left this hotel at 2am. Waking up in the middle of my sleep by painful bites was frightening and knowing I had to report to work with bites on my face the following morning was quite shameful. You get what you pay for might be true. Stay away from room 210 or from this entire place until they do something about this problem.

It was late. I needed a place to stay, so I saw this hotel next to the shopping center I was visiting, so I chose to stay there. I believe the new owners were barely getting their feet wet in this unique property. They seemed friendly people, but the condition of the first room that I got Was not acceptable at all. I went to the office they switched me to a new room which was 30% better than the first one but still 60% below what I expected. I did like the Jacuzzi tub in the room and the friendliness of the front office and their promise we are going to change everything in the rooms when you come next time. I will visit one more time to see if I can change it to a four-star or five star

Haven't been here but from the looks of the area and the hotel it looks disgusting. If you're gonna go to a hotel don't let it be this one.

Looking to for a place to stay in Bakersfield? Don't stay here. Manager seemed confrontational. Considering the area and time I checked in (10pm), it's understandable. Nevertheless, I did not feel comfortable once checked in. Upon walking into the room, it reeked like smoke and body odor. My request for a non-smoking made no difference apparently. The room was also extremely hot. The AC helped after having it on for an hour. I also booked a room with 2 beds and the room only had 1 bed. The bathroom was absolutely penetrated with body odor. The bed was uncomfortable and the only way or getting fresh air is stepping outside or opening the window in the restroom. I felt like I was in the movie Shot Caller.

I really wish I can give negative stars. . Paid for 7 days. 4 hrs in and we decided this place is horrible and disgusting. And the manager refused a refund now we are stuck here.Please don't waste your money Go anywhere elseThis place should be shut down . .

It does not look like any of the pictures on the website....we had to change rooms because the first room we were in had a big hole in the ceiling of the shower...second room was not much better... I would not recommend.... They say they are "renovating " you could not prove that by me!!!!! Not happy with my experience!!!!!!!

This last minute stay in Bakerfield, via my travel site was able to book at the price $59. I just wanted to go inside ti sleep. I noted the couch, but knew I was not going to use it. The next morning, I found this chair and woke up with multipe bug bites... not sure if bed bugs, spider or flea bites. This ice machine was broken and no water provided in the room.When I checked in the man was very nice, but checking out my concerns fell on "deaf ears". They just need to do a bug bomb for the problem.I wish I had these reviews, but it did not show up on my GPX Vacation/Perks website.Would not go back!!

We stayed there March 17, 2023. Dirty, with trash on the floor, refrigerator smelled, sheets had blood. No wifi, no breakfast. The dresser had a broken drawer. No cups. The tub and toilet had burnt marks. Worse motel we ever stayed in. Since we prepared, we could not cancel.
