I was a bit too long for the bed, but at 6'4" I don't blame them for that.

Wall dedicated to people who served
Dr. Dennis made the creation of the wall dedicated to his patients that served!
Sat in this chair for 2 hours, finally upgraded to a wheelchair only because I asked them to wipe one down for me.

The staff here are incredible, when my grandmother was ill we were informed by her provider to bring her here for medical treatment. Every hour nurses switch but the care was above and beyond, my grandmother suffered from severe Alzheimer's disease which we had to guide her verbally that everything was going to be okay when a new procedure was going to occur. She was fiesty and fought hard but being there soothe the transition with it all. They did blood work, x-rays to rule out why she was weak and ill, on top of that she had a food infection which unfortunately was the cause of her pain. Won't go into to detail much but once she got home everything went downhill from there, she was flowed to her country where she was informed by the best doctors that she had gangrene and needed her foot amputated. She didn't live through the recovery and passed away in October 2024. But I don't refused bringing her to Bakersfield heart hospital she had the best care & nurses that aid her when she was Alive.

Probably the worst hospital I have ever been associated with. Terrible management, questionable ethics and substandard care. If you have a choice go elsewhere

My mom was just discharged from BHH and we are so grateful and appreciative of the care that the entire staff provided! Every single staff member we came into contact with, from the ER receptionist, triage nurse, assigned nurses and doctors were all so very kind and patient! She was admitted and the staff upstairs made sure she was comfortable, and so well taken care of! I honestly can't say enough to express our gratitude! A big shout it to Joel and Joe from ER, and to nurse Asucena upstairs!!! THANK YOU!!!

My surgery was not heart-related, but I chose BHH because I was familiar with the facility and staff (my wife was a patient at BHH for several weeks a few months ago). I was only at BHH for about 5 hours for this surgery, but I really appreciated the friendly and meticulous staff, especially nurse Ed.I had to repeatedly confirm my name and birth date to various staff members (some of whom apologized for asking me to re-confirm) but I appreciated how careful they were to verify important details. Dr. Enriquez even drew on my body, but that was fine with me, because I definitely didn't want to have the wrong surgery. There was an hour or so of missing time in the middle of my stay. No memories at all of what happened during that hour, but I remember bright lights above me. Was I abducted by aliens? But seriously, the moments before and after that missing time were very pleasant, as I gently lost consciousness and gently regained consciousness. My breathing tube was inserted and removed while I was unconscious, so I don't have any unpleasant memories about that (only a slightly sore throat). I didn't even really feel any pain from the surgery until many hours after I left.Candidly, I had some complaints about the way my wife had been treated by a couple of BHH staff members during her long hospitalization, but even then it was obvious that BHH overall is an excellent facility with high standards. I think the problems my wife experienced related to the fact that BHH was somewhat understaffed during that time (and that my wife's case was truly frustrating for everybody). Times have been difficult for many businesses lately in relation to staffing, so I didn't hold that against them.I could have chosen a different hospital for this surgery, but I'm glad I chose Bakersfield Heart Hospital.

This is the worst Hospital ever! They stole my dad's necklace with all his medical information and left him in his room after he called the nurse three time because he could not breath and needed his oxygen!! I would never ever bring my loved one here again!!!!

Who likes visiting hospitals? I sure don't!! Happy to say that our visits to Bakersfield Heart Hospital have been good ones. We have friends who have undergone surgeries at this facility. They have all been well taken care of. Each one has only positive things to say about their experiences at Bakersfield Heart. The staff that I have interacted with have all been cordial, professional, and helpful. I hope to never have any heart or other health issues. If I do though, then I would not have a problem coming to Bakersfield Heart Hospital. They have taken good care of our friends so that is enough reason for me.

I'm rating poor quality for the security personnel. My low rating doesn't have any bad rating towards the hospital at all. On Nov.9, 2024 early morning security staff was very rude, mean, disrespectful and obtuse. I have never had a awful experience with anybody at Bakersfield Heart Hospital ever. But whatever company is contracted for security at your hospital they need to address the conduct of their security staff. All the mean awful things that security guy said to me was not necessary. Thank you for your time.Raymond Ortiz

The nurses here all seem bothered that they have to do their job. Particularly a nurse named Vincent. He was very rude and didn't offer any type of help to make the experience bearable for people having OPEN HEART SURGERY. Vincent cut my dad while shaving him and was very rude to my mom simply because she didn't know the medical term for pacemaker. Please someone go and evaluate the nurses here. And Vincent if you don't want to do your job correctly than I suggest a career change. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who considers this place to first look at other options before choosing this hospital.

Worst ER visit ever for my sister!! The shorter, older, blonde haired (short hair) nurse, wears glasses, (unfortunately name unknown) must have a miserable life because she was extremely rude to my sister and the other patients. Overheard her talking badly to other nurses about patients. So unprofessional. Disgusting behavior. Not sure how she still has a job. She needs to be investigated by their HR team. The rest of the staff was great, but because of her negative and zero sympathy behavior for those in pain, it made the whole experience absolutely terrible. Shame on that nurse! Wish we knew her name, but I'm sure the ER department can narrow it down as to who she is.
