I'm 5 months pregnant and we brought our son from 2 hours away to check this spot out. I have my meds and snacks in my bag and they have a sign on the door for no outside food and drink. Well I figured being pregnant they would make an exception. Young guy and clearly doesn't know anything about women and pregnancy or ADA laws. If I could give this zero stars I would!

My son was invited here for a party. I was less than impressed. Immediately upon walking in with my son, I was told I couldn't be there with my insulated jug of water with specific electrolytes to aid in my health and wellness unless I was planning to drop him off. Considering I am 5 months pregnant with twins, it was well over 90 degrees and detrimental to my overall health, I was already disappointed. First off, it is ironic since we were designated to sit in their "party room" where food and drinks were allowed, but I guess everyone wants to make a buck even though I am 1000% certain they weren't selling what I am required to take in.My friend paid for the party and was supposed to have a designated host, which she didn't; however, she spoke to the owner who mitigated some of the issues they were having, which is great. Overall, I wasn't impressed, however. I'll never come back to a business that doesn't allow a pregnant woman to have water and with rude staff. I would have happily bought water from them but still needed mine with the designated nutrients. I tried to explain this but was met with rude responses such as, "Well, you can have it if you plan to drop off your son, then leave." Clearly, this individual is not a parent because this parent doesn't just "drop off" her kid anywhere. So, needless to say, one more place to mark off my list and to never return.I would have been more appreciative of a refusal of service than basically a slew of ultimatums. The owner was not present when this occurred and likely would not have considering pregnancy is protected by ADA. Too bad because I'm off during the summer, and my son had a blast, and I probably would have brought him here a couple of times.

I'm just gonna address the other review because it might give others a bad impression (today was my first day there and it was amazing). First, they have a sign outside that says no outside drinks allowed, like at most family owned businesses, they can set they're own rules and as a customer we have to follow them. Even tho the lady was pregnant, if she had a doctors note that said she had to take it, then I would be kind of ticked off but otherwise u can just chug some beforehand or just wait a couple hours. Now onto my review. This was my first time there and we were greeted by I think the son of the owner who knew his way around stuff and when we said it was our first time, he showed us what to do. ( if ur not tech savvy we made accounts to access all the games and stuff they have to offer). We got 15 free minutes to just explore(after making our accounts) and see what they have and login to the games. We met, who im assuming was the owner, shortly after that and they were so kind and friendly and i personally would def recommend if you are looking for a chill place to game or play card games.Edit: I completely forgot to write about the equipment. It was definitely above average imo. The monitor, keybord and mouse were good but the headphones were kinda meh. The chairs were pretty nice but again overall pretty good for something based in bako lmao.

Dylan had a small birthday celebration today and had the best time at his favorite hangout. It's always a pleasure to allow him this luxury because I know he's safe. The people are just so nice, it's a clean environment, and the low-level noise is a plus, so that he doesn't get overwhelmed. They have calming music, inviting colors, and the lighting is conducive to keeping all the sensory issues at bay. Today on the menu was Pizza, lemonade cake pops, ice cream sandwiches and Pepsi. Anyone who came in during the time we were there, were included in the festivities, although many were just so involved in their respective little "competitive sports activity of the mind", that they opted out of pausing their game just to eat! So, thank you again, Bakersfield Esports, for helping Dylan ring in his 13th birthday, PLUS, thank you so much for that incredible gift you gave him!

On Friday, my son was asking to go to his favorite new hangout and meet some of his friends. Coincidentally, one of his new friend's mom texted and let me know they were at ESposrts, and when I told my son, he jumped at the chance to go! This facility is a gaming center and so much more! This is a family-owned business, where the owners, family and staff, treat everyone who comes in, like family. I have no problem with my son spending time there, interacting the new way that kids communicate now with other's their own age. I remember our first visit where we were given a tour of the place, and I was just in awe! The gaming center is smoke free, clean, kid friendly, with awesome music playing in the background, specialized lighting, and because the lighting and music is not overpowering, the atmosphere is extremely pleasant. This is truly a place that has something to offer everyone, of all ages! There's so much to do, board games, seating areas to play cards, or just watch your favorite movie channel, all while your gaming, fanatic kids can get their fill of safe play because everything is "in house". The owners, and the rest of the staff greet everyone with a big "hello" and they truly treat everyone like family, and we always feel welcome. I am 70 years old, and customer service like that, I haven't seen in years, and so what a pleasant change from the hustle and bustle of the world these days. I can't say enough nice things about ESports, and how they make us feel so appreciated. We value our newfound favorite hangout! They do a lot of things with organizations that honor special needs children and their families, and they have received special commendations for their work! They offer playtime specials every single day, so what's not to love about that! My son and I appreciate the family and staff so much, and it's so nice that we feel loved in return! I'm so happy we found ESports, and we hope they stay around for many years to come! Oh, one more thing. If ya get hungry, you're covered because they have lots of snacks and a full range of nonalcoholic beverages! Now if I can only convince them to carry Sparkling Ice caffeine drinks, in the can, that would be totally awesome. No outside food or beverages are allowed, for safety reasons, but don't worry there are plenty of sodas, water and other things available. I could be selfish and not write a review, and just keep this place to myself, but it's too awesome of a place to keep secret! Bring your kids so they have one more reason to call you, their hero!
