The "Care" my son was given with Compassion and Dignity has given us Hope. The therapist have done an amazing job. Thank you to the staff in the Kitchen, especially to Angelina and Rosie, for going above and beyond for him as he heals. I hope this Hospital knows what an asset to this Company you all are. Thank you.

Day 3 of my minor child's stay and I still haven't heard from the doctor. Last night I found out my daughter was not being given her regular medications (including asthma inhalers) because the doctor hadn't approved (I had done consent to medications before she arrived at the hospital). This place seems awful. Posting a review in hopes someone might contact me (already tried the marketing email someone responds with and the website).Update: waiting to hear back from Teena, the doctor messed up her medication, trying to get her out!

One of the most worst places to work, not only was the building completely understaffed, the new hires are unable to function without any guidance whatsoever. The turnover rate is horrendous, senior management is a joke. The only reason why this place is still up and running, because management freaks out whenever state shows up. New hires are making more money than veteran staff universe. HR claims that the veteran staff members have capped out. it just makes no sense to me how someone who's been working here for three years has capped out, while a new hire shows up making more money for the same position.

I had my stepson Kevin in placement for 7 days due to not taking his medications and thus he had a schizophrenic episode. While I can appreciate the overworked and underpaid Staff, I give this place a single star due to a therapist, Susan. I came to the hospital in person to check up on my stepson and to see when he would get discharged. I met with Susan briefly to get a mental health update. Instead of focusing on the information I needed regarding my stepson, she seemed to be upset and distracted by some Christmas raffle where Susan was rejected by another employee for not giving up his iPad that he had won in the raffle. While I understand her "pain", I felt my needs were of more paramount importance. I am a healthcare professional and was shocked by the lack of empathy and prioritization of my stepson's needs and answers I needed. I will let you folks draw your own conclusion on how things transpired. I wish all of you and your family well.

I would never recommend for anyone to work here. They do not care for their employees and will let you be alone in a unit. I did not feel safe at all working there. They tell you that you will be hired for the IST program and still bring you downstairs with the other units they will not keep their word even if you sign the contract. They will leave you alone in a unit to do everything by yourself there is no security at all downstairs. The nurses know when you're alone and don't bother to come out to help, they will IGNORE you! Most unprofessional place I have worked at don't apply here! Not only that but you will be attacked by patients so many staff have been hit in the head by their patients and still they don't have common decency to hire security downstairs because they don't want to spend more money on it!

My dad stayed here. When he became long term care, he was not treated the best and received a bed sore so deep that couldn't heal. Please be cautious when taking your loved ones here.

This place knows not when it comes to therapy and rehabilitation. Patients are medicated, visited by a dr daily for 5 minutes to determine their term of stay. the evening group sessions are reading a handout and then a nurse saying ok you understand and not waiting for a reply and walking away. Jacob, a physicians assistant, that they call a dr has the beside manor of an iceberg. Making comments to patients about their children and leaving someone feeling worse than when they sat down. Even the attendants know he's less than pleasant and see patients walk away from their quick sit down with him feeling worse off. Dietary and housekeeping staff must have an ongoing battle for who can have the most hickeys. One girl in the cafeteria had the whole right side of her neck covered in hickeys. It's reflective of the low standards and low expectations of staff. One attendant during my miserable stay smelled so terribly of marijuana when I walked by her. Another attendant with red hair and a bun kept on her iWatch the entire day, Talking to some guy and barely acknowledging me when I asked for water. It's hard to believe that these people are in charge of other human lives. While I was there the patient wings were mixed with all genders and various levels of mental illness. One patient for 3 nights carried on banging on doors and windows while other patients hid nervously in their rooms. When telling the pa Jacob how I was feeling on day 2, that being scared in my room and laying in bed all day was lonely and gave me anxiety he noted in my records I had feelings of loneliness and suicidal ideation. Found that out when appealing my stay and I was gobsmacked at the way a professional could fabricate their notes and impact a patients stay and well being. If you have any other choice DO NOT stay here. If your relative or loved one is in this facility advocate for them to get out. Patients are left to their own devices and coping mechanisms here. A handful of staff I came across was empathetic and kind.. Susan, Tondra, the day therapist, Raquel, Kelly, Stephany, and Lizeth. Thank you for giving patients a moment of kindness. Kern county needs to do a serious review of this facility and its practices.

I would rather be in the insane asylum on American horror story this place sucks. I think the old ladies on the phone are rude because they're at that age where they're ready to pass away already. Too much yapping.
