Bahamas Surgery Center

We arrived at 9am for my 9:15 appointment for rotator cuff surgery by Dr Schamblin at the Bahamas Surgery Center. Easy parking, friendly security as we entered lobby area. We were welcomed and registered by Elisha who took care of all my paperwork no problems. I was called back after a short wait to Pre.Opp. I was met by Marilee, she explained what was next, provided me with a gown took my vitals, inserted my I V (no pain) Marilee made me comfortable. I then met Paige my OR nurse all the staff here are professional lotsof teamwork. Paige wasJoined by Dr. Scurlock my anesthesiologist, we went over my sedation and recovery. Dr.Schlamblin came in asked if I was ready, marked my my shoulder. There was no rush the entire staff was very accommodating answered all my questions I was ready. 2 hours later, I opened my eyes and met Linda my recovery nurse. Linda was great we called my wife discussed my at home care helped meget dressed had another visit from Dr Schlamblin everything went well as planned. I hope my recovery and therapy goes as smooth as my surgery did.Your in good hands at the Bahamas Surgery Center.

This out patient surgical center is by far the most attentive, kind, and gentle place to have a procedure done. Everyone from the nurses on the phone prior to surgery, the check in professional and the front desk, the nurses in the pre-op area, anthologist, everyone is gentle and explained everything. I end up getting testy when I'm in pain and they handle me like a champ! They forgive me rolling of eyes and exasperated sighs and treat me special and like I'm the most important patient there at the moment. Had an out patient procedure this morning. My doctor, Wahba, from @SCOI is astoundingly amazing! He keeps me revved up so I'm constantly at my best! #ajoyoustaxresult please note the pink wrap because they treat me as the Princess that I am!

I got my knee surgery done 8/10/2021... I have no complaints... the check in staff was friendly, the pre-op nurse was so kind, and when it was time to leave I kinda remember the staff being kind... I can't recall the end because I was still out of it... but would not hesitate to have surgery here again...

I only have nice things to say about my knee surgery experience at this location. Dr Fadi Saied was my appointed surgeon. I highly recommend him. The staff were very welcoming, professional and friendly. Process was hassle free. Very nice clean office with a comfortable waiting area. Great location and everything went well. Thank you guys for being so friendly and making the process very stress free.

Bahamas Surgery Center is located in the same building as Southern California Orthopedic Institute (SCOI) and is also affiliated with them. My son had his knee surgery at this Ambulatory Surgery Center.I have actually visited this surgery center twice, once w my son and another time w a family member. The staff is incredible. Loved the hospitality and the professionalism of the staff.We were greeted by several people, and during my son's pre-op evaluation everyone we talked to, from the person admitting him, to the nurses and the anesthesiologist that talked to us, they always verified and made sure he was the correct patient and ensured what surgery he was being seen for that day to ensure the correct surgery was being performed and he was the correct patient.The staff was very thorough and made sure to make my son feel relaxed and gave him reassurance as surgeries are scary, especially for a kid.After my son's surgery, I received a courtesy call from one of the RN's to make sure we were taking care of the surgical site and how my son was feeling. I understand that part is part of their protocol, but it felt nice knowing that they give that courtesy call to check up on their patients.

This is the only Surgery Center in Bakersfield that will give you an appointment date but will not give you the time for your appointment until the day before. If they have not called you before 2:00pm the day before you must call them for the time. This way it gives who ever is going to help you out a lot of time to make arrangement with their employer (sarcasm)

First the waiting room was undersized and packed. They made my wife fill out a bunch of papers that probably could have been filled out when they had her come in the previous week.Assembly line medicine. Preop and post op is done in a large single room with curtains.Showed at 6:30 for a 7:30 surgery. Doctor didn't arrive in the building until 7:45.My only personal experience with surgery is at hospitals. I will probably keep it that way unless it's a very minor procedure.

Have had 3 surgeries there and care and experience has been great. The people are very friendly and put you at ease in case you're anxious.

I have had all sorts of different procedures done and I can say this is 100% the BEST experience I have ever had. Every nurse was so amazing and sweet and such hard workers. You can tell they all love their jobs and really care for their patients. I went in for epidural and it was a breeze. It was clean and everyone was just so amazing I couldn't be more thankful.

This is my 3rd surgery at Bahamas. They are all kinds of professional and efficient. I recommend them if you have a choice! Thank you all and Dr Hamilton from SCOI.
