Ay Papa Que Rico

Love this place! The best fire grilled chicken in the area. The plates come with black or pinto beans, roasted jalapeño, rice and tortillas. It's a lot of food great for lunch then second lunch lol. On the older side of town off Palmdale blvd. Many years ago it used to be ihop. Indoor tables and waiting area with bench seats by the entrance. Order over the phone for pick up to avoid the wait. Great service super friendly and generous. We're always satisfied as loyal customers with their customer care and delicious food.

I've pass this spot quite often and finally got to try it. It's a quiet clean place with an excellent menu and friendly staff. The lamb fries and chicken were all well cooked and had an excellent taste.

I came to Palmdale to check on one of our properties. I stopped by Ay Papa Que Rico for lunch and I have to say I was blown away by the chicken. I am from LA so I am around a lot of great places to eat but I have to say this is one of the top chicken spots period. I would love to open one of these some where in my area. If the owner reads this post please hit me. Would love to discuss branching out in my area.

Food is solid! I was craving chicken, but I don't like pollo loco and wasn't craving fried chicken. I remembered I had seen this place a couple weeks ago and thought carbon style chicken al carbon would be perfect for tonight. I ordered a whole chicken, black beans, rice, 2 types of salsa, tortillas, two orders of fries, and pico de gallo. Delish! This was more than enough to share with 4 adults. My mom ordered the guava roll and loved it. Will definitely be ordering again. My father actually picked up the food and told us they had quite the variety of pastries and wanted to stop by for breakfast one day.

I am surprise by this little place in Palmdale!!! Great service! Great food!! We ordered a whole chicken, rice . Black beans, plantains, flan, and extra plantains. The only item I was not very happy with is the rice. But other than that, I have found a nice place to eat in Palmdale. Thank you Ay Papi Que Rico!!!

The best grilled chicken in town hands down!! We were very thrilled to find this place, the chicken has a unique flavor and the rice is so good! Their subs are also delicious and very big, we tried the tuna sub and it was amazing!! 10/10 recommend!!!

It's my second time here, and they always said the same shit o today. we sold out the menudo, and we never see people there it's slow. Come on at 9 a.m., no menudo????? What? Make more

I was up in Palmdale for business and saw this place in passing to the destination. Of course it was an easy decision for lunch. This one has the nicest (largest too) indoor seating; second is the Van Nuys original. Gosh I always get the family meal but since I knew I was taking that back for dinner I tried something different "light"-cuban club sandwich. It was great and hit the spot. I ate half and took the rest for dinner. I needed something sweet to end so I got the pineapple pastry (instead of guava roll) just out of curiosity and it was good. At first I thought it was a processed dessert but it got better with each bite. It also has cream cheese in it that made it delicious. I think I've been to every location now.

First time going here, El Pollo Loco quality has really gone down so looking for a better place to order chicken. We ordered a Whole chicken without any sides. Chicken was better than Pollo Loco, pretty good flavor and chicken size was also bigger. I would have given either 3 or 4 stars for the food BUT the wait was over 30 minutes just for chicken. When I placed the order was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Also other customers came in after us, placed their orders and got the food in 10 minutes or less! When leaving I asked if 30+ was the average wait time and why some customers placed an order and got the food In a reasonable time. Person working there said that they had placed a phone order, that just made it worse has I told her that's not the case because I saw them-place the order in front of me. Employees should just be truthful when questioned about service Really not sure if I will be back.

Got the 1/2 chicken combo. Came with about two breasts, a drumstick, and a wing. It also had a side of rice and beans, a couple of small tortillas, as well as a jalapeno and a small cup of green salsa. Came out to $15 plus tax. Was worth it to me. Chicken had great texture, slightly salty (not a problem for me, maybe for others), charred well, and was tender. Would have preferred more salsa but no worries. The takeout was packaged well, food was still hot after a fifteen minute drive. Service was pretty fast and the interior was quite busy from the Sunday post-church rush. Overall would recommend. If you like chicken give it a try.
