I have been with A.V. Dental for about 5 years and the are a great group of professionals. From Jaquie, to Ashley, to all the Christie's and even Dr. V. I don't like the dentist chair but as a team, I couldn't be more pleased than I am with this group of friendly, funny professionals! Not alot of dentist realize how important the team is, but Dr. V obviously does! Great job to the entire staff!

I'm very disappointed as it seems they try to nickel and dime you to death. Took my kids last week for their 6 month cleaning and was told they each needed multiple flings. My portion after insurance (which I've chosen the best insurance I could) is around $4k! My kids were just seen by a different dentist 1 year ago. So, in 1 year they all need extreme dental work? No way. I'll be going somewhere else.

I'm not giving this place a bad review because the service itself is pretty good, the hygienist who did my cleaning was both friendly and wonderful at her job, the place was clean, etc.However. I walked out of this dentist's office with a $400 treatment plan (that's AFTER what my insurance covered) for a bunch of cavities the dentist showed me on a monitor and said must be caused by 'eating too much candy.' (I'm a size 4-6. I DO NOT look like I eat a lot of candy. Imagine what he must say to his heavier patients!) The admin staff then pressured me to schedule a series of appointments for fillings, without so much as a 'hey it looks like you're on military family insurance, I'm sorry if this is hard on your budget.' Nope, they acted like a $400 bill was just something I should accept and shut up about for my own good.Instead, I went to another dentist in town, who said that all but one of the 'cavities' they'd shown me were in fact staining, which might SOMEDAY turn into cavities, but might not - he wouldn't recommend any work until he saw it get worse. The treatment plan? One appointment, $34. So, I'm sure these guys aren't bad at what they do, and if you are rolling in dough, or super paranoid about sudden rapid teeth decay, or just love having a bunch fillings in your teeth, AV Dental might be the place for you. If not, go somewhere else.

You might catch covid from their office. I was an employee and 3 days after working there I tested positive for covid. Because I was sick and out for two weeks, they fired me. They said I got let go because I didn't have experience, but they knew that going in. They knew I had no experience. So why did I get fired? Because I was sick for so long with covid. Heads up, they have sloppy sterilization procedures.

No to this dental office. They are condescending and blame the patient for whatever service you require. I was told it was my fault my gums are receding. I am in my 70's. The assistants parrot whatever the dentist says. I mentioned my age as a factor and I was told it's not age, it's neglect. I was told I needed to pay $4,000 to receive the services I required at the the start of my next visit . I asked if I could pay each visit but was denied. I have a keen sense about people probably because I was a mental health therapist. Just today I went to another dentist who said 50% of the population has receding gums. He disagreed with the need for a root canal (not an option in my book anyway). This business needs to be avoided at all costs unless you want to feel berated and have lots of money to pay up front for a questionable treatment plan.

Walked into a clean environment, front office staff is very helpful. I went in for a cleaning and was greeted by a hygienist named Carlos. I have always had anxiety when going to the dentist (even for a cleaning) and he made it a priority to make me feel comfortable. The staff at AV dental are wonderful at what they do.
