One of my favorite places to get samosas. The somasas are so good here. Also can't beat price. Whenever I get a chance to swing by when in town I'm here.

This is a little hidden gem behind the gas station on Ming and Plans. Our favorite things to get here: the samosas, their curries, and their mango lasse. You have to get it to go, but it's SO worth it. We go here every few weeks and they have been consistently good every time.Oh and this is great for vegetarians!Top 10 favorite places to eat!

OMG, I was having my lunch at this place at about 1pm and as soon as I started to eat I saw a Roach. I have been here several times but no more. I'm complaining this to Health Dept. Please don't eat here. I thought I finally found a place with good food.

I was referred here by the woman who did my eyebrows at Patel's threading on Ming ave. I loved the incense she was burning, so she gave me the box and told me to stop by and pick some up! I was so excited, just to find out these people were rude!!!! I walk in and asked the man working if he carried them, and he rudely cut me off and told me they were in the corner. I go in the back and grab a few, and walk up to the cash register where there was two women waiting. They both looked me up and down like they were disgusted, and when she grabbed my debit card from me, she took it with her pointer finger and thumb like she didn't want to touch it. I have never been somewhere and been treated like this, to the point where I felt very uncomfortable. These people are racist!! I will never go back. I will just go to spiceland, a family friends business on Harris.

The samosas are amazing! As are the accompanying sauces. They're only 90 cents and they're pretty big as well. I'm excited to return and try other foods. The person that helped me was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend.

I was told they have bomb Samosas & they do! I went a few times and the male owner is super nice but there is a female who has no personality she stares at you and has a attitude. But another time I came in with my Indian friend and her attitude was completely different and she greeted us with a smile. Then I went alone again & she reverted to her normal rude self. She made me feel like I didn't belong there and what was I doing in the store. Too bad because they have such good samosas!

Burfi in Bako?? It's true! Get your calories on with the impressive array of milk-based sweets at this little Indian grocery. I was so excited to see so many sweets that I gobbled up a peda before I even had time to think about cardamom level/freshness/etc. I'll be back to evaluate. Or just enjoy. Besides the grocery offerings, there is restaurant potential here as well. I had some delicious, freshly-made samosas smothered in a chickpea sauce with tamarind & mint chutney- for only $1 each. Totally filled me up for lunch. The small eating area was quite warm and the decor was nothing fancy, but it's not pretending to be a real restaurant and I'm not bothered by that kind of thing, anyway, as long as the prices are cheap and the food is good! It is a little hard to figure out when you can order food- during other visits they've said the kitchen is closed down. I've got to become an insider somehow. They also have a small buffet cart set up, but every time I go we've just missed the buffet or they don't have it that day (now it looks like they've officially stopped offering the buffet on Sundays and Mondays). I'll report back when we finally get to taste that! Update: loved the $3.99 all-vegetarian buffet. Not a huge selection, but every dish was flavorful (see pic, but it doesn't do it justice). They have hot sauce, but it's a little glutinous- I wish the food was spicier on its own. The cilantro chutney, however, is delish. There are papadam on the buffet, and they also brought out another bread for us after we were seated (chapati? paratha? really flat naan? It was fine for eating with the meal but not crispy/fluffy). We noticed the other patrons had puri, but they brought something else for us non-Indians. I'll ask for puri next time. We brought friends here (hearty folk not bothered by the spare eating space and Bollywood video playing in the background) and we all agreed we'd happily come back.
