All Automatic Transmission

After calling around this entire town; I came across this place on Yelp. After giving them call, they were the only shop willing to look at my issue in a new GMC terrain which has a new design transmission which most shops not only don't have the experience but probably have never encountered them as of yet. I drove the car down to the shop and later they called to let me know of the issue they found. Essentially the torque converter was locking up and instead of replacing or rebuilding it, they were able to add a kit that stopped it from locking and shaking the car. The called in the afternoon and said it was fixed for a few hundred dollars. So far have put 1500 miles on it with zero issues. Very honest shop and doesn't look to break your wallet but actually diagnose the problem and will fix it the right way without putting a dent in the wallet. Definitely will come back here if I ever have any transmission issues with any vehicle. Definitely super reliable, very quick to get you back on the road and exceptional customer service. Well worth your time and money if you have transmission issues

Took care of me for a full rebuild on my cross country trip . They were quick and professional. Employee came to pick me up out in the middle of no where to get me back on the road . It was a bummer but they made it not so bad Thanks Joel and Enrique You guys got it done I appreciate the experience you guys have

This is hands down the best shop in Bakersfield. I took my car to AAMCO first and without even taking the transmission apart they told me it was broken and I needed a new one($3500). I called automatic and they came and picked up the vehicle as a courtesy. They than took it apart to find out I didn't need a new transmission and they fixed it for a reasonable price that was much much much lower than the $3500 I was quoted at AAMCO for a new transmission. Joel was incredibly helpful and accommodating. You won't be treated like you are an idiot and they go the extra step to make sure you are taken care of. Thank you automatic for making a bad situation an incredibly good one.

They rebuilt my transmission for $22500,00 and it only lasted 7800 miles. It was 2 months out of warrant. I did buy a use transmission for $1000. And they put it in for free. But I should have not had to pay that. I feel they did not rebuild it at all.

This is a very trustworthy and honest repair location. My elderly mother was having trouble and they pointed out she just need a quick repair! They handled it immediately. I am thankful for their honesty and quick service!

The guys here seem pretty decent but I had my transmission done and it had to be redone just a few months after the warranty went out, the guy on the phone stated that it was particularly unusual which I felt should have implied a solid discount because I then had to pay to get it redone once again...my transmission still is jerky. I know it's not going to be perfect but I've paid thousands at this point to have what I consider poor quality work and or parts being installed. Whether they're too busy or they're buying Chinese imported parts whatever be the case I think they need to work on that. That initial transmission job should have lasted much longer. I literally drove my Yukon less than 8k miles in that time period.

What we thought would be an expensive repair turned out to be something not so much, yet they refused to charge more. A ride home and back was especially nice!
