I've been an Aldi shopper in LA for years, and it was always great prices compared to Vons/ Pavilions/ Ralph's. Not so much here in Visalia with WinCo and Walmart. The selection is terrible and everything even produce comes pre packed in plastic. The store is about the size of a small CVS. I've been coming weekly to try to give them a chance to get their bearings and stock in order but still they are constantly out of basic items in bakery and ad items are usually gone by the frost day of the sale. I end up having to go to my regular grocery after I go this location. The stock is just always empty. I thought they would go all out to try a land a good impression in a new market already saturated with grocery stores but definitely missed the mark.

This is a new Aldi in the Visalia area; very clean and everything is organized. Good selection of produce and products. Limes were 19cents each. Good prices! There is a wine selection near the frozen foods. However a little difficult to find a shopping cart; found them inside the store instead of outside the store . Don't forget that quarter for the shopping cart. A lot of items don't have prices on them; there is no price scanner to check; so you have to find an employee to ask or take it to the register. Employees aren't very friendly; always seem like you're inconveniencing them. Private parking lot!

Aldi's maybe new to Visalia but not to me. I've been to several of their locations in the Valley as well as SoCal. This is a store you basically have to shop all the aisles to discover the deals. As for name brands, their selection is limited. Aldi's focuses on their brands. Their quality and prices are excellent. Aldi's Hawaiian Bread Rolls taste very comparable to the King's Hawaiian brand. This store has something for everybody. Where else can you buy a dozen of large eggs for $1.99 ?*** 31 Jan. 2024 ***

This location was a disappointment. We have shopped at the one in Porterville much better. This location does not supply the vegetable plastic bags very limited supplies very limited on selection. Never seems to be anyone available. If you have a question there is no one available. You have no option when you are checking out. You must check out everything yourself no assistance when needed. Nothing is put away. Items are left on a pallet in the boxes. Nothing has put away.

Unbeatable combination of good quality and great value in Visalia. This is a new store with bright lighting, spacious atmosphere for a discount grocer, and lots of parking. We got a bag of sour cream & onion potato chips, a few bags of dried mango & pineapple, and a mini-cheesecake square tray - everything was store brand except for the Solely organic dried mango & pineapple. Enjoyed everything we got and very happy with the price. Would visit again! Aldi is a much better alternative to dollar store chains and Grocery Outlet for food.

We came this morning to finally see what ALDIs hype was all about; talk about disappointment. The parking lot was semi full, so I was already bracing myself for how bad it would be inside. It was bad, but I'm sure it's been worse. Pro Tip: you do have to pay 25 cents for a cart and you can get your change back if you return it. So that's kinda cool, since 90% of people don't have the common courtesy to put them back once they use them. Only thing is, they can be stuck together pretty tight! So get ready to pull super hard! Inside is SUPER SMALL! not enough room for carts to go by one another, especially if you have people in scooters in your way. We had too many incidents where carts were bumping each other and people were waiting for others to move so they can get by. You have a hard time getting down isles with two carts. The produce area alone was awful. stuff just left in cut up boxes for customers to scavenge through, grapes left messy on a pallet, the area itself was just one tiny section. The rest of the store was the same, they were refilling some of the products, but the rest just left empty. Prices aren't that great. Some things were a good deal, but the rest were your average prices you can find anywhere, like Walmart. The worst part is the checkout. They don't bag your groceries, they just scan em and put 'em back in your cart to bag yourself. My wife and mom said that once they scanned all their stuff, the staff looked at them like "you can leave now", even though my wife was still bagging their groceries. They have numerous self check outs with two "actual" line open. So they are leaning towards people to use the self check out, even though nobody wanted/care to use them. Pro Tip: bring your own bags! They ran out of bags today so unless you wanna take your groceries to your car bag less, you have no choice but to purchase the bags they have for a $1 each. I would say "never again" for me. I personally have a thing about crowded environments, I don't like feeling rushed and in someone's way, that's exactly what I felt in here. My wife says the size of the store felt almost like the size of a dollar tree. She said she would come back and run in for a couple of things, but not to go all out shopping again. All I can say, be ready to be disappointed. You're better off going across the street to Costco or even the Walmart down the way.

Came here first time. The store is clean. Some items are definitely less expensive than other grocery stores. The store wasn't fully stocked and some shelves were empty. They have a couple clerk check outs but mostly self checkout. On the fence about whether or not I'll be back because I left out stores have a larger inventory/variety.Pro tip- if you want to use a cart make sure you have a quarter. You will get it back when you return the cart but will need it to get one.

Don't waste your time. The store is a joke. Most of the produce is packed so you can not select your own. The store is very in organized. We are staying with WinCo. Better selection and pricing.

What is the big deal? Off brands not alot cheaper. There is very little in the store to begin with .As I was checking out in which I brought my own bag, the young cashier just threw my bag into cart along with the few items I purchased. He pointed to the self service area where I could've bagged my own stuff. I told him it was my first time there and didn't see self service area. Any decent employee who knew anything about customer service would have bagged the few items I had so next time I would know. Afraid there won't be a next time for this place. What a joke!He asked what I thought of store- hah! Are you kidding ?!
