This is a must stop when in Lone Pine! They bake all their bread daily and man you sure can tell the difference. The cinnamon roll is massive and delicious! Get it warmed and take a bite as soon as can. I promise you, you won't stop after one bite. Their food is made to order and they serve generous portions. The ambiance is small diner vibes.

Horrible service and absurdly rude staff today. I'm local and have been here many times with no issues so may be a one off, but the servers were so rude today I have to leave this review. Restaurant was busy but plenty of seating outside open. Asked at the counter if we could sit outside, was told they don't serve outside but we can order to go and eat there. Odd but sure, no problem. We figured out our order and came back to the cashier, who asked if we want a to go order. We said yes, another server came from the back and loudly said "no more to go orders, no more to go orders" as she walked by. We were nice and explained that's what we were told to do so we could sit outside. She just said "you should sit inside instead". We asked where (no tables available), and she just shrugged and walked away. So incredibly uncalled for. I will never eat here again and strongly encourage the same. Wild how rude they were.

I love the artwork here! The mural in the alleyway is so cool and the matching murals inside are so cute and fun to look at while enjoying some good savory food. Everyone working here was super kind and took great care of our big 9 person table. We got a diverse mix of breakfast orders. The big fluffy biscuits were a big hit and the French toast looked phenomenal! The prices were not cheap but it felt like a cute spot with great people and quality food so it was worth it.

It was ok. Decent place to grab a bite. Checked it out on the way up to Mammoth. Inside was simple with a homey type decor. A few tables for seating. Spacing was a bit tight. But there's additional seating in the little front patio area. I got the chorizo scramble. It was ok. Could have used some salsa but they did have some tapatio on the table. Decent portion size though. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street parking or a small lot in back.

We stopped here for lunch to take a break from our long drive. We ordered the Italian chicken sandwich, a breakfast skillet, burger, roast beef sandwich and each of these came with a side. I got macaroni salad. The italian chicken sandwich was delicious and the best part was the bread with crispy parmesan cheese. Large pies were sold out by the time we went there but we took mini pies to go. The pies are really the best pies I have had.

Ended up heading out from SoCal a little later than usual so needed to stop before Bishop for lunch. Found this place on Yelp. They were pretty busy at noon on a Sunday and not a lot of parking options (mostly street parking).A really small area for seating (no more than a dozen tables inside), but we got lucky and were seated pretty quickly.Food was delivered pretty quickly and tasted great. The size of the sandwiches was pretty good and they weren't chintzy on the meat.Service was friendly although from what I saw, they don't seem to take any guff from customers.Next time we are coming through, it would be a good place to stop again!

Very nice place! But it seems like it's always packed, so you might have to wait a bit to get a spot. But trust me -- it's worth it! Haha! And let me just say... TRY THEIR PIES!!! Absolutely amazing -- yummy, tasty, delicious! No words to describe how good they are!We had breakfast there, and of course, we couldn't leave without grabbing a pie to take home. We enjoyed it later with coffee and a beautiful view. Highly recommend!

Stopped in with my friends on our way through town. We expected to sit down and have a nice breakfast. Upon entering, we asked to see a menu and the server informed us they were out of menus. We decided to just order breakfast burritos not knowing exactly what else was offered. We asked to eat at a table, and were informed that we had to take ours to go, even through there were plenty of open tables. Worth reiterating, we did not ask for our food to go, but were forced to. Both of the employees we spoke to were incredibly rude for no apparent reason. The burritos were fine, but I would not return! Also worth noting, it was cash only.

Alabama Hills Cafe & Bakery is an absolute must on our way to/from Mammoth.Food is amazing - Chicken Fried Steak is one of the best among all others. Today, we arrived near lunch time so we also tried the "holiday" Celebration Burger, this burger was tasteful and a definite repeat. Pam, who has always waited on us is delightful to deal with.Alabama Hills Cafe & Bakery is moving a few buildings away and the new location will include a bar as well - new location is almost ready.Alabama Hills Cafe & Bakery is an absolute must - you won't be disappointed at all.Yummy, Yummy!!!

I understand being busy and understaffed but that's no excuse to be rude. According to their Yelp they are dog friendly but when you arrive there are many signs stating they are not. Totally fine, I tried to order to go but the attitude I received wasn't worth it. Maybe it was just a bad day, who knows. Pictures of the food online look good.
