Coffee Shop No. 435Adventure Awaits CoffeeBakersfield, CAOctober 12, 2024Coffee dates, coffee mugs, coffee signs, coffee drinks and coffee trails are definitely an adventure so I couldn't agree more with the name of this cafe, Adventure Awaits Coffee. First, the barista at this cafe was probably the friendliest one in Bakersfield. As I write this I realize I need to start getting names of these awesome folks who create my cortados. Secondly, the shop has a ton of natural light and makes it a lovely spot to work remotely from or chat it up with a friend. The fun part of this cafe are all the coffee signs throughout it. You know the signs; the ones with clever sayings that make you wonder if the maker was reading your mind or has an inside scoop to your life. These signs were so captivating even my 20 year old non-coffee drinker (bless his heart) was enjoying and pointing out the signs. Most importantly, the cortado was tasty and I would definitely return to this shop!Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

Finally tried this coffee house. Found out they have more than coffee drinks. The place is in DTB, old town and parking is in the street. The place is quaint and cute. There are a few tables and a seating counter facing the window. The staff is professional and friendly. I ordered a cafe con leche, which is a sweetened latte. It's Cuban inspired and took me back to the coffee my Cuban MIL house to make me when visiting. I ordered a croissant, which was lightly warmed. The cafe has breakfast and sandwich items in the menu, most notably a Cuban sandwich, which I'd like to try.My coffee was a tad too sweet so next time I will ask for it with less sugar. Looking forward to going back. Enjoy!

I would honestly give this place 4.5 stars. Came in with my sister I got the cafe con miel cold brew and my sister got the cafe de churro. They were phenomenal but my sister said if it had a little bit less cinnamon it would be perfect. And I agree!! A little too overpowering. But, I truly enjoyed my coffee and am intrigued to try their cafe de naranja and matcha horchata latte.I loved how fast the service was and how friendly every is! Truly a cute and cozy spot. The signage's on the floor are adorable and could see myself coming here!

I'm in a coffee klatch that meets on Monday afternoons. This week we met at Adventure Awaits. It has changed since our last visit. I'm not sure it still sells strong Cuban coffee. It's mighty tasty in any case. The place is tiny but the 8 of us were able to be seated around a table. Great low key ambiance and attentive baristas.

I needed an afternoon pick me up whilst out Christmas shopping and happened to park in front of this shop as if it was fate herself leading me to the sweet nectar that waited inside. I am a coffee-holic. I put Lorelai Gilmore to shame on most days. But I am just now getting into the flavored "fancy" drinks like lattes and cappuccinos and whatnot. So when I go into a new shop, I ask what the barista's favorite is and just go with that. She recommended the Cafe de Churro and it was stunning. Warm cinnamon and a hint of vanilla, it may be my new favorite latte. Probably the most unique interior, as well. They have coffee-themed decor for sale and everything screams "adventure". It's called Adventure Awaits, which is the most appropriate name, because there's a coffee adventure in every carefully curated recipe. Absolutely recommend.

Great place! There were many regulars, which shows how popular it is. The atmosphere is cheerful, and the barista was friendly and helpful. The specialty coffees we ordered were delicious and perfect for dessert. With so many unique options, we'll definitely be back to try them all. I highly recommend it!

I can't believe that I have never reviewed this place. This is probably the most delicious coffee that I have ever had. The pastries are just amazing. The flavor is the one that I always get is the jalapeño waffle with syrup and cream cheese. It is to die for. If you are ever in Bakersfield do not hesitate to come to Adventure Awaits it's a great little coffee shop and the owner is really really a cool guy as well.

Wonderful cuban coffee in Bakersfield!!! I love cuban coffee and I can get it all over LA but now Bakersfield has a place. Cortadito (cuban espresso with milk) and a biscoff cruffle made for a relaxing morning at this small locally owned coffee shop in Eastchester. There are a few seats outside but inside is more comfortable. They are small so I hope bring patience.

Cute little coffee shop! Their lattes come with 4 shots of espresso which is amazing. I got an iced horchata latte with oat milk and it was *chefs kiss*. Bold yet sweet but not overpowering. The cinnamon was good too, I was afraid it would take over the flavor but it didn't. Someone else in our group had the cold brew with coconut milk and orange and it was like an orange creamsicle! Such a unique drink! The shop is small but cute. There's a few tables inside. They offer a few food items as well.
