Excellent, knowledgeable and friendly service. I had several exhaust manifold bolts break off in a head. I managed to get all of them out except for one. My extractor broke inside the bolt. Ended up bringing my head here for help. They had it out and ready for me the next day and even managed to save the original threads. Definitely would recommend their work.

I came here for a second opinion expecting to hear bad news - After melting a plug and damaging a valve the last (very reputable) shop was trying to convince me I needed a new engine. (Claiming everything was destroyed)Cody was kind enough to check everything and surprised me by letting me know that it was all still in spec. All I needed was a new valve. After talking to me about what I wanted from the engine he gave me several options on repairs / upgrades I had asked about. Extremely reasonable prices, honest people, and a happy atmosphere have quickly turned this into my go to machine shop.

these guys are great, reasonable prices and good turn around time, I fix cars for a living so I've seen my fair share of bogus machine shops, advanced is extremely knowledgeable and happy to take the time to explain a job done right, the shop is well equipped and the staff is highly skilled, all the way from surfacing some cylinder heads on a small block to completely rebuilding your industrial engine these guys got you covered, Cody is one of the most honest guys I've met, You'll know what I mean when you talk to him, there's such a thing as an industry standard and as a professional I can tell you these guys set it

Ok so I went Cody to rebuild my ford 302 engine, he is awesome and very nice person. He does lack calling you back I was told many times he would call me back but usually I was calling him. Also they had my engine for months and took them along time to finally finish it. So these are my only negatives. Now in codys defense reason why I still gave 5 stars, his shop is crazy busy when I went down there to pay him his phone almost never stopped ringing. The job he did was amazing and have been told by another machinists that his work is top notch. So when I finally received my engine and saw the pictures I was very pleased. Would I use Cody to build another engine I definitely would, but don't expect it to be done very fast. His price wasn't bad pretty much same at most rebuild places. Overall pretty happy. Thank you Cody and advanced engine.

Save yourself time, money and frustration. This place is a real piece of sh*t! I sent my heads to them for a simple valve job. (The #5 cylinder had burnt valves but the other cylinders were fine. Of course, we agreed to do a complete valve job to all six cylinders.) I was told by Cody "two to three days at the most." After a week, I had to call them to see what was going on and was told that the mechanic was having "personal problems" so he wasn't able to focus on my heads. After another week of waiting I was told they were done and ready for installation. After the garage reinstalled the heads, the car ran worse than when it was brought in. Cody had the garage mechanic "try" several stupid fixes and finally the heads were removed and inspected. The mechanic poured water in each cylinder and one cylinder from each head was leaking so the heads were sent back to AEM to be properly done . So what does this idiot do? He takes a picture of some other head he had in the shop, that had a huge gouge in it, and claimed it was mine and that it was foreign object damage caused by the shop. Nobody saw this obvious gouge when the heads were in the garage. Cody claimed he resurfaced the damaged head and replaced a damaged valve, all for free, even though it wasn't his fault. Bullsh*t! This took another week. When I finally got the heads back again, I had a friend who builds race engines, do a vacuum check before wasting time with another installation and removal. (This is something every decent machine shop does before sending the heads out.) The same two cylinders wouldn't hold the vacuum. This clown had held on to the heads for a week and didn't do anything except blow a bunch of lies and B.S. out his ass! My friend offered to do the heads after he was done building two engines he had already contracted to do even though he doesn't do street engines. After a couple of weeks he was able to do the job and the heads were reinstalled. Due to AEM's lack of professionalism and sh*tty craftsmanship this simple two day valve job cost me five extra weeks and an extra $750.00. Beware: This place sucks! If I could rate them with negative stars, I would.

Reworked my Small Block Chevy. Excellent work. Cody is incredibly talented and will do you right at all times. Set me up with what I wanted and I couldn't be happier. Fairly busy shop, took a couple weeks but no complaints whatsoever. Stock, diesel or high performance, they give you what you want.
