A Royal Palace

My husband and I would like to thank Penny for the excellent service she has given us throughout the experience. We had actually booked this gorgeous venue at least a year in advance for our 10th year wedding anniversary. Penny has been very helpful and she goes beyond to making sure your event is perfect. I honestly love the bar area! The stage where we had our Mr. & Mrs. table and the dance floor is HUGE! There is an area where the DJ can connect all of his/her supplies. Everyone had an amazing time! This place is very spacious! Overall, our experience with Penny has been phenomenal! Definitely a 10/10 beautiful venue.

I absolutely loved working with Penny in planning my wedding reception at their venue!! She made it so easy and less stressful for me! It was a wonderful night and I couldn't thank her enough for it!!! She took care of everything, from security guards to being our bartender for the night!!

I had my wedding reception here and I cannot thank penny enough for everything !!!!! Penny was truly AMAZING and even though they had an event the day prior to mine she made sure that everything was setup just on time for mine early the next morning ! she was always there to answer any questions that I had and she made sure that Everything was perfect for my special day. I had looked at other venues around Bakersfield but none compared to this one ! Thank you penny for everything if had to do everything all over again I would pick this venue again !

Overall, the look of this hall is great for weddings/parties; however, my experience with the management of this hall was not a good one. I went to a Sweet15/Quinceanera party that was held here and although it was a beautiful hall with great lighting and sound system, the experience being in this room was horrible due to the A/C system. The hall was dreadfully hot! We continuously complained to the coordinator of the hall and nothing was done. People were waving handheld fans in their faces the entire night because of the heat. You would have thought the coordinator would have turned the temperature down and eventually cool the place down...but it never did. What a horrible experience. I would not recommend this place due to the heat!

The hall is a good size and includes a kitchen, bar area, dj booth, private room (like a bridal room), and nice restrooms. The lighting is excellent and the speakers are set up throughout the hall on the ceiling so the sound system is great. My main complaint, which made a huge difference on whether i would recommend this hall is the ventilation system. It was soooooooo hot in there which made it dreadful!!!!

We had our Christmas party for our employees at Royal Palace. The venue was amazing! The sound system and projector was a hit. Plenty of space to accommodate a Pinewood Derby track. The owner of this venue refused to turn the air conditioning up for a July wedding! It was so hot, and this is after my friend, the bride, had been assured that the air conditioning would be on and that it would be cool inside. It was miserable inside, in the 90's. This reception hall is not good for a summer wedding in Bakersfield!Apparently the owner has installed new a/c units, but I would get it in writing that the preferred temp will be reached before signing anything!

We had my daughters quinceanera here in April and it was perfect. The owner was very reasonable and helped us in any way possible. It had everything we could've needed for my daughters party. There have been some complaints about the A/C but I'm pretty sure it's fixed by now because there was not problem with the temperature. The only complaint is that the ventilation system is very noticeable once you walk in but with the right decorations you can cover it up!!!
