Baja Oyster & Sushi Bar

Service was great in the beginning and was seated immediately! So much to choose from on large menu! We picked 1 fish taco, 3 crispy shrimp tacos, K38, IB, Santo Tomas & mango rolls. We sipped on a couple of cold Pacificos they had on draft, snacked on the house chips & salsa, which was just the right amount of heat. Flavors & textures are all on point. Portions were great! Coming back to try more!Small parking lot.No one checked on us after receiving entrées.Took a while to get To-go containers and check.

Listen, the sushi here might as well be a crime against your taste buds. It was lacking. The rice was dry AFDo yourself a favor and just order the sashimi special! It's so good, it'll make you question why you ever bothered with sushi in the first place! Ambiance? Picture a sushi bar and a taco joint having a baby.... It would be this place... And the service? Friendlier than a sea otter with a shrimp buffet. Dive into the sashimi and you'll forget all about the sushi shenanigans!"

We went on Sunday about 6:30 p.m. with a reservation AND on Mother's Day. Parking is kind of weird since you have to gonup a hill and only one car can enter or exit. We parked down on the street. Since it was just 2 of us we were seated right away. Plenty of tables inside and some tables outside.1st time eating here. They have Mexican food options, seafood, and sushi options. We opted for sushi rolls.We ordered the Philadelphia, and 3 of their specialty rolls.San Quintin - grilled salmon, cucumber, avacado and topped with green onion and special sauce. Our roll arrived without "special" sauce. Our server took the roll back only to return with the roll sprinkled with soy sauce. Maybe they ran out of "special" sauce due to the holiday. Salmon was over grilled. 17.95 see picture Mango roll - Shrimp tempura which was super tiny and cucumber topped with hamachi and mango. See picture, again maybe they ran out of mango 17.95Seafood roll - crabmeat, cucumber, avocado topped with salmon and seafood mix. See picture. The octopus in the seafood mix was over cooked and just boiled with no flavor not slow simmered in a dashi. The "seafood mix" was mostly imitation crab, some chopped small shrimp and the octopus. Again, maybe they ran out of ingredients due to the holiday. 19.95We will go back and try the selection of Mexican options and leave sushi for the Japanese restaurants.

Came in to fulfill a craving. I wanted a michelada and a tostada de aguachile. I got both and a shrimp taco to top it all off. The flavors were exactly what I was hoping for. I didn't need to add any salt or lime juice to my food. The michelada was done to my liking. We went right before 1pm on a Monday so we got seated right away and they even brought out chips, salsa and consomé while we decided on what to order. They had great music playing overhead and out waitresses kept our drink cups full.

We were craving oysters and found this place on Yelp. You seat yourself and then a waiter comes to you. Our waiter came immediately after we were seated, brought us chips and salsa, and consome. The consome has to be by far one of the best ones we have tried. The salsa from the chips and salsa was addicting, it had a nice spicy kick to it. We ordered 2 shrimp tacos, spicy shrimp fried tacos (3 tacos), sushi roll (it has mango and Mexican cheese on top), and half dozen oysters. The taste was not what we expected, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our food came out relatively fast and everything was cooked to perfection. They did have music playing in the background at just the right volume. Service was great as well and our waiter constantly checked up on us. The only complaint would be that they were building a table right next to our table and they only moved to the corner of the restaurant once it got busier and needed to use that same table to sit guests.

Have been here a couple of times now and both times it's been ok but nothing to rave about. The complimentary fish soup has a nice flavor and my friend loves their oysters (I don't eat them). The fish taco is a generous portion but lacks flavor and benefits from a lot of garnishment and salsa, while the shrimp and cheese taco fared only slightly better. Beer prices are awesome though.

I'm so upset... I had a rough week and all I wanted was some soul food to hit the spot. I ordered a baked roll and stuffed oysters. I'm sure the roll was good cuz the bag was hot when I received it but they got my oyster order wrong so I had to go back to get the right order and when I got back of course my other order was stale,squishy and cold .. plus oysters werent anything to brag about. .. not worth the trip back... first time i ordered here like 2 months ago I ordered a baked salmon roll and the salmon on top was really dry i stuck it in my air fryer with. Japanese mayo and eel sauce and it was better..... Baked rolls are dry and hand rolls are squishy. Seafood tastes fresh just missing chefs who appreciate the ingredients.

A Mexican seafood restaurant that also provides sashimi and sushi plates (albeit with a Mexican touch) which included wasabi and soy (in a shared container). Everyone had a sushi or sashimi plate except my eldest. She ordered a really tasty shrimp plate recommended by the waitstaff. We were totally happy with our meals because they were all done with skill, tasted great and presented tastefully. We'd definitely come back again.

We ordered the seafood platter and stuffed oysters. The seafood platter was pretty much ceviche. They provided a squeeze bottle with white sauce so you were able to go crazy if you liked the sauce and let me tell ya, it was DELISH. We chose to have our ceviche with saltine crackers cause why not, we've never tried it and it did not disappoint. 5/5The stuffed oysters were okay. Def not as flavorful as the seafood platter. It was a little much as it was oysters, shrimp, beans, rice and cheese. That was on us though, we didn't really know what we were ordering. We were expecting something more similar to stuffed mussels and it was a very different vibe. 3/5The reason I am rating it 5/5 overall though, was the service. Our server was super attentive. Made sure we knew of all the options we had. He even saw me packing saltine crackers in our to go bag for the ceviche, and ran to the kitchen to supply me with some more! Lol. The service here was definitely hospitality level. The vibe inside is also super fun! Def would go back again to try their sushi!

Great customer service and price, my wife ordered the La Paz roll and she loved it! We will definitely be back again to eat, very friendly staff!
