I went to Baja Burrito in the Berry Hill/100 Oak area today. Upon looking into it seems like it's been around for years and somehow I just passed it without noticing.I was craving an oversize Chipotle style burrito but didn't want Chipotle pricing/quality/skimpiness so I went more local. There is a lot of parking for this spot including next to the building, behind the building and across the street, as well as some street parking. Free parking will win me over everytime, and overflow free parking is almost unheard of! I arrived around noon and it was pretty busy but I was able to order right away and it moves fast! I did a small (10 inch) steak burrito, with beans, green salsa, pico, sour cream, corn, cheese, and guacamole. The rice looked great, but I'm allergic to white rice so I couldn't try it but it's Mexican restaurant/Spanish style/ red rice. The burrito was only $7 I think, which is great! I added a glass bottled drink so after tax only $11. The burrito was excellent! The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, the beans were seasoned, the meat wasn't chewy or fatty and had good flavor, and a steamed giant tortilla really helped satisfy my craving! If you are on that side of town (or want Chipotle style but not from Chipotle) I highly recommend checking them out! Also, they have a nice patio too for those who love a patio as much as I do!

Ok... I DO NOT want to reveal my age with this review but whatever... it's been a while since I've been coming here. A few same ppl and a few new. The menu still almost the same except the prices (for obvious reason$) as like any other place. Food has kept its signature taste and the amount of food. They still have their horchata and tea drinks, their salsa bar and regular fountain drinks. They have tables very close to each other so don't be shy, they also have a patio with umbrellas for the hot weather's, didn't see heaters but maybe they do for the winter? It's super busy and people still line up outside waiting for it to open up. Come check them out!

This place stays packed fyi. Came for lunch and the line was wrapped around the building. I left and returned that evening in hopes to get in. It was still packed with people, but the line was much shorter. The food is really good and the employees here are very friendly. I will say if you get anxious with trying to order food because you have numerous people behind you waiting, just look at the menu beforehand to know what you want. Parking is a madhouse in that area. Sheesh. They do have outdoor and indoor seating. I can really speak on the cleanliness of the place because there was stuff on the floor and some of the tables hadn't been wiped down from the previous guests. The salsa station was a bit chaotic. Especially when several people want salsa. It's a small designated area for that, that also interferes with the drink station. Have a little patience. The salmon salad was pretty good. I had a bone in my salmon, so I didn't end up finishing it. It's a personal thing lol. I highly recommend if you want something light.

Excellent! Try the Brisket & the Barbacoa! The food was great & the staff was amazing. The atmosphere is crowded & on the noisy side, just like you'd expect at a popular hole-in-the-wall.

My friends always mention that this was a good burrito place, but I never had seen it until last week when I was just driving by! Parking is a little wonky there's some (not much) in front and around the side but then you have to walk around back but no biggie. Overall though this is a quick, no-frills burrito place for a good price. The guacamole was the only thing that was underwhelming, but the queso was a hit, and my steak burrito was awesome. You get to pick your toppings as you go. The line can get long but service is quick and easy.

I had a massive craving for a burrito and Baja Burrito was the only place that could fulfill it! The start the parking is always tricky. If you don't get the prime paring of right in the front off of Thompson lane you can find the additional parking near the back off of Columbine Place - a 2 min walk! If you come during a "slow" hour you will just walk in and order. Sometimes there is a *line so beware of time of day/day of week.* But trust that the line will go fast when you go with friends. I go for burritos but they also have tacos, taco salad and a taco plate! It is customizable so you pick your base, meat, toppings then sides (here is my order) : flour tortilla, Mexican rice, black beans, steak, pico de gallo, lettuce, jalapeños, corn salad, onions, cilantro, mild salsa, and sour cream, side of chips and queso. Then you go to the self serve salsa bar and get the mild pineapple salsa for your chips. There is plenty of seating inside but during the warmer weather sitting outside is just way better. I will say be prepared to wipe off some tables/chairs, it gets messy eating a packed burrito and there is not enough staff to keep up with the flow of people to keep the tables as clean - especially outside.

I am channeling the enthusiasm of my dear friend, Ellie, as I write this review -- Ellie loves, and I mean LOVES, Baja. Baja does not claim to be anything but exactly what it is: a fast, affordable local Chipotle-esque burrito joint, with generous portions and unlimited salsa. Here, Ellie would probably mention the pineapple salsa, which she adores and raves about. I'm more of a spice lover, so I opt for the option with the most HEAT to douse on my burrito bowls. Baja is a crowd pleaser, and it has a special way of bringing people together. You probably don't need me to tell you to try it, as it seems like the whole of Nashville gets in line every time I'm there :) Baja is a staple of the college diet, and to Ellie it's even more, it's a comfort food.

This place constantly has a line for a very good reason! Don't worry though the line moves quick and the employees are super efficient. The vibe is a casual beachy taco joint so if you are wanting fancy it wont be here. The food is so good for the price you are paying. You can get three of the best fish tacos I've had in recent memory for $8.... Some nicer restaurants nearly sell you one taco for that! The chips and queso were also pretty good, not mind blowing but not bad either. They pretty much just sell burritos and tacos so you cant really go wrong.Parking can be a bit tight if you go at a busy time but people are always coming and going so it's manageable. So glad we have a delicious casual taco joint to frequent. Give them a try!

THE best burrito in Nashville. This place has a certain charm to it (in addition to the delicious food) and I recommend to anyone in the area. Super flavorful burrito and the tortillas are made so well. The pineapple salsa is a great touch on your burrito or chips. The chicken and steak are always cooked really well and spiced perfectly. If you like a little kick get the jalapeño cream in your burrito. The queso is also phenomenal - however the one thing I won't recommend is the guac (not great). The service is friendly but be prepared to order once you get to the front of the line because it moves quickly and requires focus during busy times. It gets pretty crowded inside the restaurant seating-wise but the outdoor seating is cute if the weather permits. Also if you go during typical lunch/dinner hours there WILL be a wait - so don't go if you are in a huge rush. Solid prices as well - I think I'd spend about $14 for a steak burrito with chips and queso.
