This is our second time at Bada Sushi. We literally drove 900 miles to eat here. My pops in law likes to eat here for his birthday dinner. For a large group it's a good idea to call ahead and reserve ahead. Our group already chose the set menu A. The kids ordered a bunch of rolls and don kat su dishes. It's a mom and pop operation and when you come here and order the set menu, plan on being here for at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours. You probably need all that time to be able to take in the gargantuan amount of food. It will take too much time to go over all the items that they serve for the set menu. I posted it so you can go over it yourself. I eat pretty much anything so a place like this isn't too much of a surprise but people that come here having only experienced Japanese style restaurants will be surprised. Some of the favorites of the set menu was the o deng guk, oysters (gigantic), sashimi, and the soup at the end. I wasn't so much the fan of any of the fried items. Also all the fried items were served towards the end of the meal when we were already stuffed. Pair it with a nice bottle of sake and you are in for a treat. Bada is a beast!

I hid it for as long as I could but I guess I can't hide it any longer. This place is a gem. Sushi/sashimi that's Korean style. If you come here, you must get the course menu. I really mean that it is a MUST.For America, I think they do a really good job of doing this Korean style sashimi course menu. I don't want to compare it to what I've had in Korea because it wouldn't really come close, but for America, this is great! They give salad, side dishes, rolls, sashimi, soups,...it's just endless. I will say I miss the course menu items they had when they first started with the fresh vegetables, oysters, etc., but they continue to serve a great menu regardless of the changes. If you're up for something new and you like seafood a lot, there's no reason not to check this place out.

Stopped in here due to the many positive reviews and it didn't disappoint! The place looks so much bigger inside than it seems from the exterior as it's located in a mini strip mall. Our server was quick and attentive. The food was fresh. It was our first time trying a hand roll and I was impressed! Will definitely come back here in the future.

Whatever you do, don't get the chirashi. It's the most disappointing sushi meal I have ever had. Like 5 pieces of badly cut fish and imitation crab stick cut into 2 unappetizing pieces...Also take a look at how they garnish their sushi - smh.

Was recommended to try this place by someone who lives nearby. On a Friday night it was not busy and our party of 11 were quickly seated. The. Maki platter was ok, nothing to write home about. I think platters from HMart would best this any day. The shrimp donkatsu was stellar. Shrimp was crunchy & light. It was a huge hit!

The most amazing sushi restaurant in Chicago. Far better than nobu, Roka akor, and itoko in my opinion. I've never been to a Korean inspired sushi restaurant before.Prices are so friendly and although the set course prices may seem high THERE IS SO MUCH FOOD!!! Ban Chan/ side dishes were authentic and different from your typical Korean restaurant- all seafood focused and all delicious. So many courses in the set course- banchan, salad, sashimi, handroll, and soondubu at the very end.Clearly well known amongst Korean locals and definitely a spot to try if you're looking for delicious and fresh fish! Ambiance is okay but the food makes the experience feel amazing

Came here in Feb 2021 for a $35 course meal. Due to inflation, current offering are $40, $50, or live fish course $60. This is a Korean style course meal. I opted for a $50 Course A: assorted live & fresh sashimi. Overall it was a great experience and service was excellent. I started off with 4 stars but after typing everything what I had, they truly deserve 5 stars. Here's what you get in small sharing sizes:Salad w cho jangSteamed eggFish cake soup (o deng soup)4 different types of side dish in cold salad form: sea squirt, abalone, octopus, dried octopusShrimp & vegetable tempuraCalifornia hand roll Plate of sashimi: salmon, red snapper, tuna, and Suzuki (?) Grilled fish & crab salad in a shellAmaebi Last- finish off with Korean style soup

I've been here two times. Side dish is ok. I like the sashimi combo with rice and vegetables. It's about $23. Definitely a little bit pricy but the food quality is good. Fish is fresh. Not frozen. I called to place a phone order and the lady answered my call. I came a bit early and I waited about 10mins till my food ready. The vibe is slow .. I don't see line or a lot of people dine in. Worth to try it out if you like sashimi.

Called in order for carry out but found out they weren't open until 3:00. But were more then accommodating in getting my order ready to be picked up by 3:30.Upon taking it to a dinner party the guests were pretty happy about quality but a little disappointed about quantity.Other wise will be back to try other items on the menu!!
