Bad Idea Brewing Company

Always love Bad Idea! It always pretty chill here. We decided to stop in for a beer on their 3rd birthday celebration! I got the Hard Seltzer they had on tap which was inspired by an Arnold Palmer (sweet tea & lemonade). It was tasty but I didn't get a whole lot of the lemonade taste. I loved how sharp the carbonation was.I do wish their band wasn't as loud. We had to sit outside to talk to each other. Which would have been nice if it hadn't just rained! We normally like to come on calm days where there are usually only a couple people there!

Stopped by, it had been about a year and the place is shutdown. Looks like it was just recently.

This had been on my list to check out and so glad I finally made it! The brewery is located in the Columbia Arts Building which is a cool warehouse space with other local businesses, vendors and artists. Was excited to have stumbled into a vintage market taking place the day I was there and left with lots of goodies. Will be planning another trip soon!

This is a great little brewery with a great atmosphere! Taylor was great to talk to and was super nice to our daughter while visiting. He told us how the name of the brewery got its name. We will definitely visit again.Give this place a try, you won't regret it!Also, you're able to have food delivered if you get hungry, we ordered Coop & Run chicken and that wasn't bad either! Small microbrewery located inside a building with various other things like a coffee shop, plant shop, etc. The environment was laid back and we sampled a couple different things until we decided what we wanted. The bartender told us they use real fruit and the flavors come from real ingredients even graham crackers and marshmallows for one of them!

AMAZING brewery!!!! They always have a great variety to pick your favorite. Great atmosphere and is very friendly. The owners are the most wonderful human beings you can talk to. If you are a FAN and LOVE handcrafted and local beer, you need to give them a visit ASAP you won't regret it.

I don't normally trek down to Columbia, but I always enjoy a new microbrewery, so I had to take a trip down last year. Then, I went down again this year during their anniversary. Feelings? This place is small, but very nice.The building has a nice feel about it. You are literally in the brewery, and I would say it is more of a nanobrewery than a micro, as the number of barrels they can do at a time is small. My first visit, the brewer took us on a little mini-tour, as everything is right there. Their staples are hazy IPAs and they are definitely on the juicy citrusy side. There are a few other styles they pop in and I feel they did a decent job on all of them, with a few triples in the mix (no homeruns in my book, but solid and some very good brews). As a side note, I think they did the best version of Black is Beautiful (collab many in the area have done) in the Nashville area. They don't have food in the brewery, but each time I was there they had a nice food truck out front. Being Columbia, the trucks are a bit more economical than Nashville, but the food was on point.I will revisit.

I discovered this brewery when I was playing a show in Columbia and house sitting, both right before the start of the pandemic. The friendly proprietors referred to me as a "temporary regular".Bad Idea brews a variety of styles. Even the ones I generally stay away from (sours) taste good here, and their untraditional IPA's and more traditional approaches are enjoyable. Usually there's a good food truck outside and they have live music on weekends. I always say "Going to Bad Idea is a good idea!" and make it a point to visit when I'm in the area.

First time in Columbia,TN.Sampled the beers to find the one I liked, got one of their very, very good sandwiches. Enjoyed both!!!Great Beer, Great Sandwich, atmosphere & music added to the experience.Will be back.

The food and beer was absolutely fire Ethan is an amazing guy. Highly recommend to try this place out for a beer and great food.
