Back East BBQ

Ryan came and provided dinner for our gathering of 71 adults last Saturday. BBQ Brisket, hand cut per person, smoked chicken, green salad, corn and bean salad, potato salad and hushpuppies. Everyone raved. Amazing service and the food was without comparison. This is a notoriously hungry group and there was more than enough food. They even provided bags for the leftovers. I am so impressed with the entire process. Danielle replied quickly when I had questions, and the price was totally reasonable. I totally recommend this business and really hope to have a chance to use them again. Thank Danielle and Ryan, we really appreciate your commitment to quality and outstanding service.

I see all these great reviews and think maybe I just ordered wrong. We showed up 15 min before closing and they were out of the chicken and waffles that we were hoping to get. We ordered the Wander Wings and I didn't understand that they were already sauced. I was hoping for chicken tenders with sauce on the side. The tenders were just not meaty enough to support that amount of breading and sauce in my opinion. Next time I will pay closer attention and get some naked tenders.We split some fries and hush puppies. The fries were pretty tasty, but the hush puppies were cold, I think because they were closing.Will give it another try, as there aren't a lot of good BBQ options in town, and these guys park at breweries so our paths are bound to cross again!

This place seems like it could be exceptional but just misses on nearly everything...Brisket...Very tender, almost like pot roast as it is not sliced, but sadly WAY over salted (generally I like salty...in all my years of Yelp this is only my second review of ever finding anything too salty...but this crossed the line)Greens...Fresh with some pretty good ranch on the sideHush Puppies...Tasty and hot but greasyPotato Salad...Home-made...goodCorn and Bean Salad...MehPulled Pork...Good, not over salted but not really exceptional in any wayMac and Cheese...interesting take with cheese sauce poured over the macaroni, not baked...was OK...seeing as it lacked the lovely gooeyness that comes from baked mac and cheese something great or at least interesting should have taken it's place but didn't....missed opportunity in my opinionFried Eggplant...Quite tasty, not greasy...I think the best part of the mealPrices were good so don't feel ripped off, it just seems a shame...almost like they're just on the verge of doing something really memorable but can't seem to quite pull it off.

I had a brisket plate from these guys at the Farmers market today and it was amazing! Perfectly fork tender, great bark, well seasoned, and i managed to score a few burnt ends at well. Plus it came it at a pretty low price point comparatively, I've had to pay much more for inferior brisket! When the only bad review of a bbq joint is from some entitled vegan, you know it's gotta be good.

Delicious food - friendly service - quick to be ready - we tried it while visiting Wander Brewing - would recommend trying if you want some delicious BBQ!

Was hoping it could be a replacement of Bare bones. But no. Your better off just boiling the meat yourself. Don't even have To go sauces. So hopefully you have sauces at home. Will give it one more shot hopefully this was just a one off deal.

Overly bland BBQ as opposed to even more bland everything else. Just expect one to dump mediocre sauce on top of everything to mask the lack of flavor. They also completely burn the hush puppies. -5 out of 10z

Yummy dinner. Planning to bring my gourmand friend. Definitely a winning food truck.

Meats are always greasy and too fatty. Everything else on the menu is bland or bellow average in quality. If you don't know what good bbq is, then maybe you will like it but I would be embarrassed to serve this food next to real bbq. Service was fine. Ambiance changes because it is mobile. Cannot recommend.

I called on a Friday for catering on Monday.I was to provide food for a high school basketball team after practice.​Ryan made a few quick suggestions and after a quick phone call I was all set. I loved the can do attitude and talking to a real person on the phone.I Showed up, everything was packaged and ready to with utensils and paper platesIt was super easy and a big hit with the team.A few days later one of the parents approached me at a game to say that legend of the BBQ was talked about at home....so back east bbq got a teenage boy to talk to his parents. nuff said!
