A great no-frills Middle Eastern food option right by the airport. It was very quiet in there on a Sunday at around 6pm. There were a couple people working behind the counter. We ordered the Mixed Shawarma plate and the Vegetarian Combination plate. The falafel was very good. The rest of the meal was satisfactory. I wouldn't say this is my favorite Middle Eastern spot, but it definitely is reasonably priced and gives ample portions.I wished that there was garlic sauce, but I also did not ask for it. We'll likely come back if we are heading to or from the airport!

Really disappointed in the changes. I had delivery from here today and the chicken shawarma pita is absolutely not the same. It never used to include pickles, but it does now and I do not like pickles in my shawarma. The lettuce was brown and wilted. The chicken did not taste as fresh and juicy as it used to. The Arabic salad was lukewarm. I did enjoy the stuffed falafel quite a bit. But I had really been looking forward to the chicken pita the way it used to be.

Food was pretty good. Their order prep is awful. Absolutely do not order the combination tray for 5 - order the combination meal 5 times... it's cheaper and you'll get more food. We ordered through Grubhub and maybe that's where the disconnect was. The amount of food included was woefully short with several items missing. That being said, the food was tasty - so I would put it on my list of places I would try again.

Got food poisoning from this last time I purchased the chicken kebab dinner. Not the same owners. Inside of the restaurant looks a little sad and grimy.Food doesn't taste the same and prices went up.

Having been to many Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurants in SoCal, I have to say that my expectations are high for quality. While strolling through this neighborhood, I found Bab Al Salam. I was looking for a falafel, and they served that. I went in and ordered my falafel sandwich, fries and drink. Chiming in at about $15, it was somewhat meager from what I've had in many places across the country. The sandwich was small, and the fries were standard (drink was canned). The meal was good, but it lacked a few things (garlic sauce, pickled vegetables, enhanced flavors, etc.). The sandwich was good, but it wasn't in my top tier of spots. If I lived in the area and had nowhere else to go, then I would probably visit here... although very infrequently. Being that there are probably other choices in Chiraq, I would probably explore those first before settling on BAS.It was good, but not come back good.

Went here about a year ago after going to the nearby Midwest Express Urgent Care (also great). We were about to get on a plane but we're famished and happened to drive by the strip mall with Bab Al Salam in it... and gosh are we glad we did. Both my wife and I have been to Israel a few times and this was by far the best falafel we've had outside of that country. If you're able to make a stop here before/ after your flight, I'd recommend you go out of your way to do so.Service is quick and friendly, prices are fair, and seating is easy. Make the trip!

1st time ordering and we were not dissappointed! Good portions for the price, everything was delicious. My husband enjoyed the kifta kabob, I enjoyed the chicken kabob (shish taouk). We shared the vegetarian platter sort of as appetizers and they were so good, and so fresh. Even the salad that comes with the meal was great. Definitely had leftovers. Cannot wait to go back!

The worst experience ever. I felt insulted. I think he was the owner's son, so mean and disrespectful. Service is trashy. I believe he needs some lessons from the owner about greeting customers and smiling 101 customer service. Plus, it was my first time playing two roles at once: the customer and the server.Anyhow, it's not even worth it for the food quality.

Best Mediterranean Food in the area! Clean seating area, and most of the staff are helpful if you're not familiar with the menu. The food is fresh and largely made to order. I have dietary restrictions and they are respectful. Food is well seasoned but you can ask for more heat. Simple and delicious
