My friends and I dropped by this Korean spot in the winter and ordered the kimchi scallion pancake, veggie mandu dumplings, seafood bibimbap and spicy pork combination and tukboki mix for 2.The scallion pancake was very crispy and piping hot. The dumplings and seafood bibimbap were average. The spicy pork was really good whereas the tukboki was a bit too spicy for my taste. We had to pick up our own containers and bags to pack our leftovers. Service was a bit slow. We felt like the place was a bit understaffed. Overall, for the price, I thought it was a good meal.

Food: Had spicy galbi soup. This was not my first time which was why i'm so disappointed. I used to love this place because they had strong flavor with lots of veggies, and beef inside the soup. Now I only see 2-3 pieces and there was not much glass noodles or veggies. Rice was +1 day old- not fresh and dry. I came here around 11-12pm and cannot believe they are using the old rice. Super disappointed

I think I would've given a 4 star if it were not the incidence around tip. Food was pretty good. Kimchi pancake wasn't too greasy like most of Boston Korean restaurants' and it was full of flavours. White jjampong had nice soup that made me keep reaching for one more spoon after another. Would've been better with a bit more generous amount of seafood but overall it was good. Kanpoongi was not bad but wasn't fan of their thick batter and combination with frozen veggies (carrot/peas/corns) mostly because it's not really authentic that way. Food came out pretty quick even though we went at peak dinner time. It's a pretty small space but they did a good job of fitting as many tables as they could and kept it clean. However, I don't think I will ever go back because they overtipped themselves. Even though we tipped them pretty generously, when I checked my credit card bill, they had charged themselves an amount that was above what we wrote and signed on the final receipt. I had to contact my bank to fix the amount (thank goodness that i had taken a picture of my receipt to submit). Regardless of the amount, this is fraud and I wouldn't trust them.

I came with a group of friends for lunch. Place was relatively quiet. It is a small, simple, casual and clean place. The server was pleasant and brought us water immediately. He took our orders and brought over only 2 sides which I felt was not complementary of most Korean restaurants. This is one of the things I love most and didn't get it. They said they were out of it and had no more. Food was all great. It did taste well flavored. We had to send the Beef bulgogi back because they forgot the spicy but other than that it was great food.

Dropped a star bc the menu items are a hit or miss. I came back and got the tukboki for two, tangsooyuk, and galbitang. The tangsooyuk was delicious: fry was good and sauce was good, the tukboki was ok: on the watery side but the portion was huge (they split the one order into two giant bowls), the galbitang was sad: meat was so tough and the soup was salty.I still think this place is one of the better korean food options in Boston. However, it'll take trial and error to find the good dishes on the menu haha. So far, their tangsooyuk and jjamppong are dishes I would come back for.

I'm so glad this place exists! It brings authentic Korean food to Fenway. The dining room is subterranean but clean and cozy. We came with a few friends and shared a scallion pancake. Collectively we tried their soft tofu soup, and dupbap (stone pot sizzling rice bibimbap), and Galbi combo. Everything tasted amazing!! The service was friendly and efficient.

My friend and I came on a Friday afternoon, and it was relatively quiet, so we were able to get seated immediately. They served us banchan, but it only came with two dishes, which I found little compared to other Korean spots in Boston. We ended up ordering the jampong (red and white) and shared the tangsuyook (small). I liked how you could choose between white or red for the broth as well as adjusting the spice level. I got the spicy and thought it was just right for me. The jampong noodles came out slightly more overcooked than I preferred, but no big deal. There was an assortment of seafood present such as mussel, clam, squid, and shrimp. I appreciated how they also had some other variety in toppings such as mushroom, onions, and zucchini. There were more vegetables than seafood, but the portion was decent and can leave you full. The portion for the tangsuyook, on the other hand, was amazing. For the price you are paying for, this was so worth it. Like all other places, there is quite a bit of batter, but I did enjoy how crispy each piece was. Compared to the ones at Seoul Jangteo, the batter is not made with tapioca flour, so it is not chewy and more on the drier side. I do not mind though since the sauce offsets the dryness. Overall, I left feeling extremely full and even packed some leftovers for home. This place is worth it if you want affordable and decent quality Korean food. I would come back for the tangsuyook!

Do not go to this place whenever you come to Boston. This place is a total fraud. They just take tips from you without your authorization. They should go to jail for this and just permanently shut down the place. This is just wrong and frustrating now that I have to contact my bank.

The food and service makes this a 5 star rating. Online the restaurant has other names but Baanga Korean Cusine Kenmore is the correct name now. On to the review...We called before we arrived and made reservations. We were seated promptly with a smile. William, who happens to be an owner served us. All of the food was fresh like farm to table. It's super casual on a busy street. It's easy to walk right by, but be sure to slow done for a bite. The short ribs come out sizzling and you can barely eat them. They stay hot for a while. I may have burned a few taste buds, but it was worth it! I will definitely be back.

My friend and I visited this spot on a Saturday night. I was surprised to find it largely empty, especially after having had a FANTASTIC meal. One order of kimchi fried rice and an order of fried mandu was plenty for two people. The food came out very quickly, tasted fresh, and was packed with flavor. We would absolutely come back!
