The vegetables were fresh and wrapped very sanitary in plastic, meats were also very nice, fresh and frozen seafood was also very well packaged and presentable. The shelves of canned, bottled, and packaged foods were clean and well organized. There was a great selection of Asian foods and Latino as well. Next time in I told the person at the courtesy desk I would start posting some photos. There is a large section of housewares with a large selection of bulk rices. This was our first visit and we will be coming back.

I would give this grocery store two stars rating. From the distance the store looks like an abandoned warehouse with one door chained up and you have to try and locate another door that's opened during the business hours. When my wife and I walked into the store we noticed there were lots of employees working, but no greeting from any of them. They looked at us and went back to their business. And also noticed there's a bunch of backpacks laying on the floor next to one of the cashiers. So, by this judgement I knew it would not work out for anyone of us that takes work home from Boeing. You'll have to drop the computer backpack home first or leave it in your vehicle before going into this store. I would not suggest leaving it in your vehicle nor leaving it sitting next to the cashier. All it takes is someone to take off with your laptop backpack and you're doomed. The reason I came into this store was because of the Vietnamese jelly dessert (as shown in pictures). Was told they have some really good dessert made by Yummy Bakery. Well, we loaded 9-10 of them into out basket and went straight to the cashier. A tiny, dark complex female rung up our orders (no greeting and not friendly) -- heard she was speaking in multiple languages; could be Vietnamese and Cambodian.Got home started ripping into these deserts and it turned out mushy. The dessert contained a packet of greenish cooked flour, black Chinese jelly, half and half cream (not coconut cream, which I preferred), and a packet of syrup. All of these places in a 12 oz plastic cup for close to $4 with tax. So the first one was fine, after ripping through the second one in the evening it was rotten and so the third. I had to discard them. A long distance for me to go back and exchange or to get my refund back. So, the desert has no manufacturing date and no expiration date. Please eat at your own dis on this mush / low quality dessert.

I have to leave my bag up front every time weather it's my duffle bag or backpack.When women are allowed to walk around with their big ass purses. Even when I dont have a bag with me the watch and follow me the whole time. It's not at all an inviting environment. Feels like a back ally

I love our local market, freshest cut meat, fresh and unique produce + Liquer. Small business & owner are very nice . Place looks run down but I think it's our hidden gem

This is a grocery store that I haven't even been in and got a refresher when I drove by a few nights ago that it was even here. Of course I hardly ever go down Portand Ave.The grocery store is mainly geared towards Asian and Hispanic food items which is always intriguing because you find products here that are useful for recipes that got stalled at home because not all of the ingredients can be found easily. Good grocery store with reasonable prices.

Lots and lots of great seasonings, veggies, noodles, etc. Nice assortment of cookware, too! Very fun store to browse in, but take your money because you'll find lots to purchase and take home to create delicious dishes!

They sold us a fuck up crab that is not safe to eat, no exchange and no refund... health department need to investigate this place!!! ASAP , very rude customer service....what is that green stuff in side the crab? No one can explain... they sold a lot this shit or what? I feel sorry for people that don't know what to do after they get advantage of by this store. Food inspection needs to go and check the place for safety reasons!!! Health Department.. Where you at?

Hidden gem!!! Doesnt look like much from the outside. But as a women who eats 75% fruit in her diet this place has some amazing extoic and tropical fruit! The only place in tacoma u can find fresh durian!!! I come back like twice a week because they always have never and exciting things. Dragon fruit, jackfruit, durains , Cherimoya, fresh dates, logans. Omg i could go on and on

Good selection at pretty good prices, they have stuff you can't find at most other stores, that's why you go to these Asian markets, for specific items and specific produce and meat/seafood, you don't come here to have your ass kissed and be babied, you want that, go to Safeway or chic-fil-a or something lol, you're not really entitled to all that, it's a store that is product for you to buy, if you want hellos and greetings, then why not just say hello yourself?
