Walked in here today and left happy and full. Greeter was upbeat and friendly. We sat down and had multiple employees come by and greet us. Our server was top notch. Checked back frequently and made sure we were well taken care of. All of our meals were top notch and we were all very satisfied with absolutely everything. Normally service or food is normal, but this time around everything seemed to be exceptional. It was very nice as I feel like the last few food experiences in general had been letdowns. The only complaint I can actually come up with is that it was a little cold in the restaurant, but that's really reaching and honestly I didn't really care. I have and will continue to come here, and look forward to the next visit!

One of the Mexican places I was recommended by my colleagues - Azteca. We casually walked in for a lunch. They've got a great place there. Loved the interiors and the whole set up. Plenty of tables, but it was a busy place. Hard to wait for 5 mins or so for them find us a table.Menu is fabulous - plenty of options. We opted for Chicken Fajitas, Macho burrito and Mini Burrito from Kids Menu. They served the chips and salsa first. Then literally waited for another 20 mins for the food to arrive. The food was decent. Everything came with rice & beans on the side. I couldn't find anything exciting about the food. It lacked some real flavor. Felt it was very plain. Portion wise it won't disappoint you. We ordered a pinapple upside down cake - that was the best among our orders. Not sure it's the chefs, or the location or the day - wasn't very impressed with the food that day. May be I should try a different location.

Polite and quick service. Food was fast and hot, and your typical mundane old school 1980's standard tex-mex aimed at the average gringo. Not too hot or spicy, nothing overly fresh, out of the ordinary, or original. The basic standard we know well, but noting to write home about. Restaurant was clean and neat, and your stereo typical cheesy mex restaurant ambiance that I grew up with. You can pretty much know what you're going to eat and how it will taste before you sit down. Nothing bad per say, just noting all that exciting.

As always the food is amazing and the service was great. I always order the Carne Asada y Mojo. I just love the garlicky shrimp... And I always get my Kearny Asada well done even though it's a skirt steak... Comes with Mexican, rice and beans... Anyway, sad to admit it went right through me and I was in the bathroom for at least four hours for the rest of the night. that never happened to me before and I've had this dish at least 1 million times but my first time having it in at least two years. I know I know TMI. Let's just hope all the cooks are washing their hands at all times and that the food is being stored at proper temperatures and not left out for too long. I had already been in town for seven days and nothing was eaten earlier that day.

I've been going to Azteca restaurants since the mid 80's when I was a child. I've eaten at ones in Seattle, Kent, Kirkland, Silverdale, Tukwila, Mukilteo, Mountlake Terrace and Mill Creek. I grew up going to various Aztecas with parents and siblings, then later in life with my husband and kids. It was always delicious food served by delightful people, all at a reasonable price! What's not to love? They would take your order, then bring your drinks and a basket full of chips to munch on while waiting. My husband and I settled in Mill Creek in the 90's, so mostly we frequented the Mill Creek restaurant except when visiting family or friends across the greater Puget Sound area. When covid hit in the winter of 2019/2020, as we all know, everything changed. In an attempt to help our favorite restaurants survive the pandemic, we took to ordering Take-Out food from many places in our local stomping grounds. The Mill Creek Azteca always packed up our order, plus a bag of warm chips to be enjoyed at home. We would even save some of the beans & rice from dinner and save for the next days lunch. We'd eat the leftovers along with the chips and enjoyed it as much as the night before. Recently, when my husband went to pick up our food, he had to ask for the bag of chips, because they had failed to include them the previous time we ordered there. My husband was told that the new owners didn't want to include chips for take-out orders. That had been a practice they had kept to for DECADES, but the new owners don't feel that take-out orders deserve the same level of service. We pay the same amount of money for the food that people pay in the restaurant, not to mention that my husband has always been an overly generous tipper! So the chip thing has made me feel a bit put out over, but what prompted me to write this review is that not only have they stopped giving chips for take-out orders, more importantly, they've allowed the quality of their food to slide rather dramatically. I order the carne asada most the time, and since the new owners, the meat quality has gone down, as has the portion size! It costs more than ever, the food quality is down, and the lack of chips had caused me to reevaluate my choice of restaurants. I can't speak for the other Azteca restaurants around the Puget Sound, but I'm saddened that a family favorite has likely seen the last of us. On occasion we do give it another try after a few months, if only to confirm our evaluation, but it's Adios Azteca Mill Creek for now. We'll just have to see what the future holds. In the meantime, if you're looking for a good alternative, try Las Palmeras!! The food is excellent, plus you get chips even with take-out!!

Last few times we have gone things just didn't taste the same. Tonight it was if all the flavor had been sucked out of my burrito. The usual fast service is no longer a thing and the once too hot to eat meal is luke warm at best. Come to find out they are under new ownership and no longer using the franchise recipes. It's a bummer as mediocre as Azteca was it was consistent. Such a waste of Mill Creek store front for another crappy tasteless restaurant.

Decided to order take out directly from the restaurant for two soups to go with this cold weather. We didn't think it was fair for delivery services to be taking such a large percentage from them but in this instance, I almost wish I would have. Usually when I order on DoorDash or Uber eats the tortillas come in a container....they were wrapped in plastic wrap...with the 12oz container of broth was 2/3 ways full WITH the avocado and cheese inside. I was disappointed to say the least, especially when we went out of our way to support them. Don't recommend for the inconsistency.

Friendly staff and attentive. I had the two item combo pork tamale and chimichanga picadillo. All came out quick and hot. Big test when I ordered coffee, not something that a Mexican restaurant would have on hand, their wait staff advised they are making it fresh and would be very quick. Deep robust coffee hot and hit the spot.

So gross! And to make it worse it was door dashed so prices were inflated. $5 for literally a tbsp of brown guacamole! Beans tasted like they weee 1/2 lard. Soft Corn tortillas saturated in grease for a street taco! Meat was dry and tough, lacking flavor. Chimichanga was lacking in everything except grease. All menu items were glorified words for the same exact thing! Meat, beans and rice just folded differently depending on if it was a taco, burrito or chimichanga. Seriously - no different from each other and So so expensive! Taco BellWould have tasted better and fed the three of us for 1/8 of the cost. Also would have been fresher! $100 of hard earned money down the drain and I felt sick after. Yuk

My wife and I used to go here pretty much weekly. We did this for years. During covid, we couldn't patronize Azteca or anywhere. Since covid, we have gone back a few times but not nearly as frequently. The food has become pretty bland. Like the Rusty Pelican in the same strip mall, the food has hardly any taste these days. The staff has always been pretty decent, but many familiar faces are no longer there (which happens). It's just different and not as flavorful these days. Too bad as it really was our fav local place to eat. Now, it's just ok.
