Food was ok...definitely better restaurants out there for same cost. By all means, it's not bad but customers is nice!

I'll just say shame on me for giving this place a try. The food was horrible, the service was terrible, and I didn't get any value for my money.I will start by saying I grew up on Azteca, and used to love them. I think about the time they closed the locations I loved, was the sign that they were not the same people that opened their doors decades ago. Growing up, we ate the Bellevue location. It probably closed about 1992 and relocated. The food was never the same. We used to also eat at the Eastlake location on lake union, also closed for some time, Totem Lake and the list goes on.This was my first time at this location, and I had heard good things about it over the years, but nothing recently. It honestly may have been the best-looking interior I've seen for an Azteca, but the praise ends there. We ended up here, because our first choice for lunch was closed. I had a lunch special which was soup ad a tostada. First, the glop they put on the table wasn't salsa, it was tomato juice mixed with vinegar and pickled peppers. GROSS! No one in Mexico would call that salsa. The tostada said seasoned ground beef, but it was 100% bland. It tasted like Taco Bell and I don't care what you say, Taco Bell is not Mexican food. The Tortilla Soup actually had a zippy kick and I liked that, but the broth didn't taste like chicken stock and they was so little chicken in the soup, it was an absolute scam.I don't care how many blonde hair blued eye people sit and smile at you, this isn't quality Mexican food, and everyone associated with Azteca should be 100% embarrassed and ashamed that they allowed they name, brand and quality slide to this degree. Now that I have had this experience at multiple locations, it's clear to me that no one here care about their country, original family recipes or legacy. At no point did anyone check on us, ask us how the food was and show any interest in our meal. Viva Mexico!

I just got the carne asada burrito for dinner, and it was easily the best plate of food I've ever eaten. And I'm old AND fat, so I've had many. This is not just another US style Mexican restaurant; yes, they have the standards like enchiladas and chimichangas, but they also have a few dishes much more rich and complex. The aforementioned carne asada burrito chief among them, but the Plato Mexicano is also incredible, and the Molcajete also comes to mind. Lamb shank too...so many others. Don't let this place escape you're radar; especially the Burien location is truly excellent.

I ordered chicken nachos and it was incredibly bland. It tasted like they just threw all the ingredients together and put it in the microwave. No seasoning on chicken. Disappointed in the quality.

I got curbside to go Carne asada street tacos and Mexican rice and it was amazing. The portions were large, cost wasn't bad, staff was friendly, they came right out and it was still warm when I got it all the way home. The salsa was a bit bland but I spiced it up with my own spices and such. I was pretty pleased with this service. They offered only ordering or over the phone. As far as I could tell you could still eat inside if you wanted to as well. But that wasn't something I was willing to do.

Go to lunch spot when craving for fajitas. They have a great lunch special with many options. And the portions are enough for 2. One of the visits, we decided to try the ceviche. It tasted fresh and portion was huge. It didn't have enough acidity to it and did need to be seasoned with more salt. The tostadas that came with it tasted like it was on the verge of being stale. -yeah, not pleasant. As any normal dinner, we started off with their deep fried ice cream as an appetizer lol. It did disappoint. Did not come out warm, the flakes on the outside was stale and not crunchy nor hot. (I don't know if it was actually deep fried or was a frozen ball of vanilla that was coated with Frosted Flakes and served) Service is always great! So you won't have to worry about that

Poor food quality with low flavor. The margaritas are way too sweet as well. Too many other choices available

Been eating here for years & tipping 20% take out or eat in trying to support them. They've always given chips & salsa with even take out. When I got to the car I thought they forgot the complementary chips & salsa. Not anymore. I am insulted & that's rare for me but this is so cheap. Fine. I'll continue to eat here but I was still mad when I got home so I called Joe, the Manager. He was not concerned. Ok so for the future years that will get $0 tips for takeout & 10% for dine for everyone with me. or maybe I'll decide not to eat there anymore & let friends know why.

Great service and great food. Can't go wrong here . A family favorite for american style Mexican food that isn't a food truck. The carne asada plate is pretty good as well as the arroz con pollo, molcajete and mole enchiladas. My kids love the carne asada burrito and the wet burrito. Most of servers are for the most part nice. Some aren't as attentive as others but if you ask for something they get it to you pretty quickly.
