Food was simply amazing. Quesabirria was next level and so flavorful. Definitely try it with their secret acocado sauce. Consome was delicious!! Service was as amazing as the food. David was friendly and treated us right. Can't go wrong with the great food, fun ambiance, and friendly service.

Come for the authentic menu, it being a local neighborhood spot with friendly service, and the high Yelp reviews. But, you'll keep coming back for the Vegetarian Torta!Everything is made fresh. You can taste the pride for their food with each bite you take. But, the Vegetarian Torta is the star of this menu: Even my "must always have meat" friends are impressed with it every time I introduce them to it! This place has been in my rotation and I visit it at once a month.Or, and did I mention how much I love the Vegetarian Torta?!?!

This place is a hidden gem! The food was so yummy I didn't get a chance to capture a photo before eating but on my second visit, I remembered. The food is so good and the staff are super friendly! I love their quesadillas because they are smaller and perfect for if you want to try a few different ones or just want something small by itself or to pair with one of their delicious tacos. The shrimp taco is so good! Also, they have tv's so if you want to catch a game while you eat amazing food, this is a great spot to consider. I love the decor of the place as well. This is one of my new favorite spots in the neighborhood.

Got to check out this former food truck that's now a restaurant in an actual building. It's a good thing for them. Aztec Dave's has a location that makes sense, in an area with a Hispanic and Latino population to bring in. Located close to Humboldt Park. The menu has both meaty and vegetarian kinds of options. Has pretty good prices. It's $6 for Modelo on tap. That's the cheapest beer, plus you of course can get margaritas and whatever. As for the food, big portions help. It's $15 for the Taco Dinner, a big platter of stuff. Choose your protein, and it comes with beans and rice. We each got the beans for the protein, and the tacos were filled and spicy. Better than expected. It's doing good after becoming a permanent location. The atmosphere is fun yet relaxed and the menu has stuff for meat eaters plus vegetarians.

Was pleasantly surprised in this place after stopping in for an impromptu lunch Saturday about 2pm. Decent drink selection and the food was outstanding! The torta was huge- 2 of us split it and it was filling! The birria were juicy, and the rice and beans tasted so authentic. I really was not expecting the food to be this good, will definitely be back!

This place is it! The food hit the spot especially after a long day. I had the asada burrito and birria taco. I thought the food was perfectly cooked and lots of flavor. Loved the beans and rice too. The owner is super friendly and made us feel welcome. Def a fave place in the neighborhood for me.

This place is nice local hangout with the exception of our server- a dude with ear stretchers. He was dismissive and not nice. He hated that we asked for separate checks up front and in the end he tried to charge me for the entire table after everyone had paid individually. He knew, just played dumb. All it takes is one bad experience to turn off future visits.

Loved everything about the food at Aztec Dave's, including the queso fundido and the loaded nachos along with a handful of cocktails. The SERVICE, though friendly, was a bit slow for a space that was not very crowded on a Thursday night of a holiday week. Drink service was surprisingly slow given that we were doing margaritas for parts of the evening. Also (and this is not a fault of the restaurant necessarily) the space can get very loud given its small size if a loud party is seated near the edges of the space. The spectrum during our visit was interesting--at times, it was crazy loud, and at other times, it was relatively quiet, even with the din of TVs in the background and conversations at other tables taking place with small groups.I'll definitely be back for the food here; the flavor profile was excellent.

Overall, pleased. The burrito was really good and full of shrimp. I got "pineapple devil" sauce and . The guacamole was all right, but a little pricey, especially for tortilla chips obviously from a bag and neither "homemade" nor "fresh fried." Food arrived hot and within the delivery window.

Ok. I'm not from Chicago and my boyfriend and I stumbled upon this beautiful place on a night out. Victor was the energy we needed. Not only attentive and kind but went out of their way to just be a really ducking nice dude. Thank you Victor. We will never forget you. :3
