AZ88

I went here for a drink and regret that I didn't stay for dinner. It's a really cute spot-very bright and roomy, and I can tell that although it wasn't crowded when I went, it probably gets pretty crowded. Good scene. I had an espresso martini and my friend had a classic vodka martini. My drink was absolutely delicious and well balanced-not too sweet. I had a sip of my friend's martini and I will definitely have to go back to have one of those. They serve the drinks in frosty martini glasses too, which is awesome. The food looked so good, I definitely have to come back to eat. They have tvs so you can watch the game, too.

Stopped in for lunch with my husband. The ambiance was nice. You seat yourself when you walk in. We were given the menu not too long after. For starters, we shared the shrimp ceviche. The wonton chips were super crispy and not oily at all. Next, we shared The Burger with added American cheese. The bun to burger ratio was a bit off, however still savory and filling. The french fries were airy and just the right crisp. Great place for lunch and dinner. Service was good.

This is a good establishment. Just wanted to comment on the ambiance -My friends and I, all locals who have been here many times, all agreed that this place has a sort of uncanny valley vibe to it. There is something slightly uncomfortable about it. Not sure if it's like the dimensions of the building, the feng shui or something, but the vibes are definitely off. It's kind of like if you asked chatGPT to design a trendy cocktail bar for a wealthy suburb. Going in there just feels weird!The drinks and service are good, there's no reason not to come here. Just wanted to put this thought out into the universe

I never knew this place existed, it's tucked away in Old Town facing the civic center mall. We went midday and sat at the bar, it's loud but fun. The service was fantastic and the drinks were phenomenal. It was my first espresso martini and the bartender promised I'm ruined from here on out bc this one is so good will definitely be back! Although the drinks were pricey, they were big and definitely strong!

This place always has a great vibe and fresh juices for cocktails! Popped in for a drink while I finish my book. The waffle fries are delicious and veggies fresh!

I love coming to AZ88 with friends for some fun drinks and food! The vibes are great and super picture worthy. It is located in a tricky spot, I have been there a few times now and still get a little confused on how to get there. I love their espresso martini, bonus if it is around christmas time and they have the peppermint espresso martini. The bartender is super nice and gives great drink recommendations and suggestions. I love their chicken sandwich or the "bigger mac" burger and waffle fries with all their yummy dipping sauces. Definitely recommend if you are in Scottsdale, it is such a fun environment

Enjoyed the ambience; service and drinks were impressive as well! Was a little surprised how busy it was for a weeknight- I suggest making reservations.

What a great experience! It's been several years since we've been here but decided to go for my birthday. So happy to see things haven't changed! Drinks were delicious, food was amazing and service was exceptional! Thanks for another great memory AZ88

They don't do any reservations so we waited an hour and a half. Happy I got to finally try this place, we sat outside weather was perfect. All the drinks were good, not too strong and just the right buzz. Martinis come to the rim, not too sweet either. Our food came so fast and it was delicious. Portions are pretty huge I must say! Our waiter was interesting... joked around maybe a little too much where it came off as a little rude. Not sure if that wait was worth it so don't come at prime time on a Saturday night, but worth the one time experience. Also they don't do any complimentary birthday desserts :(

As a lover of espresso martinis, I knew I had to check out AZ88's. Afterall, they landed number 7 on Yelp's "Ten espresso martinis you'll agree are worth the buzz" blog in 2023! We had a friend visiting from out of town and thought it was the perfect opportunity to check it out.We arrived on a Sunday evening. AZ88 does not accept reservations, and fortunately for us, AZ88 was not packed that evening. The space is inviting. The dim lighting makes it a little sexy and romantic. We chose outdoor seating and were seated immediately. The server came to greet us shortly after and took our drinks orders. I ordered the espresso martini and my husband and our friend both ordered an old fashioned. The drinks arrived promptly and wow, their espresso martini is one of the best I've ever had! I enjoyed it so much I ordered another one halfway through the meal. It had just the perfect amount of creaminess and sweetness to me. The guys also enjoyed their old fashioned drinks and ordered seconds.For food, we ordered:Shrimp ceviche $17Dipping fries $13St. Petersburg Potatoes $14Halibut entree $36AZ88 Chicken $18The first three items are appetizers. They were delicious and great for sharing. My favorite was the dipping fries. It came with waffle fries with remoulade, spicy chili ketchup, and buffalo-bleu dips. Hubs and I split the halibut entree. It came with half a pound of Atlantic halibut white-fish, pan-seared with lemon, capers, white wine, and garlic butter then served with baby red potatoes and grilled green beans. The kitchen split the entree into two plates for us, which was appreciated. After starting with three appetizers, half of the entree was more than enough for us. Our friend ordered the chicken sandwich and had no complaints!Food and service were excellent. I highly recommend AZ88, especially to espresso martini lovers!
