Aversano's Italian Restaurant

We have been coming here for years. The kitchen is batting .500 with our pizza. Half the time they have either gotten our pizzas wrong, or served them undercooked, or both. As we sit here now, after them taking a wrong pizza back 25 minutes ago, we are still waiting to get a correct pizza.We very well may or may not be back. The manager took care of us, which is great. Exterior paint and front entrance are filthy. Windows and curtains are filthy.Dark and dingy in the interior. Interior all needs to be polished and cleaned. Kitchen is always slow S t aff could care less

Never again- I don't care how good the food eventually is. We checked in at 5:45pm for a party of 5. We were told the wait would be about 15min. 45 min later, after they continued to seat smaller parties and even after we offered to have them seat us at separate tables in 2 and 3 across from each other- but, would not- they got annoyed with us when we asked when they were going to seat us.,.and we finally got a table. That was at 6:45. The girl who sat us immediately took our drink orders and we asked if she could take our orders. The server would not let her take our orders so we waited 5 more minutes for the server to show up. 6:50pm we ordered. Two pizzas and a couple of pasta dishes. 7:25pm and NO FOOD- this is going on FREAKING RIDICULOUSNESS.... And not a single apology from a single person! I asked to talk to the manager. I AM BEYOND DISGUSTED!Food came 7:40pm. My chicken parm was cold and the spaghetti noodles were so over cooked. Just all around bummed. The "manager" finally came to the table after we asked the waitress twice to talk to her. (She came before the food arrived) She apologized after she excused it all away by saying the wait for a table can't be predicted, and told us the waitress had put in the order about 22min ago. Except we ordered 45min ago. My hubs was so bothered by watching the waitress and other cohorts chatting about us before the manager came over that he just didn't even bother to eat dinner at all. The pizza was fine- but, the whole experience was just so incredibly all around disappointing. We are all ready to leave.. and now we are waiting around for the bill.Meanwhile.... 10min later, we are still waiting for the damn bill because apparently the "manager" is on the phone with the owner trying to find out what to do about our bill. In what universe is there a manager with no authority to make this decision and is it okay to make your guests wait for your business to decide how to handle this disaster? WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL.... NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. This is the worst experience I think I have ever had eating out- and we LOVE EATING OUT and I rarely complain and am an absolute fan of promoting good businesses.PS more than two hours later and after all that - they gave the "manager" permission to give us 20% off the bill. I love to support local and have been coming here for years. It has been a staple in our community for many years, however the last few visits have made it pretty difficult to want to return. Aside from the house salad the last three times I have been there the food was near Terrible. We went in tonight and the $30 pizza was undercooked. I had a hard time eating it. My husband ordered an old fashioned and there wasn't an orange or a cherry or any garnish at all. My children pointed out to us the gentleman in the kitchen repeatedly taking puffs off of a weed pen and then there were the two employees canoodling at the front register. Seems like there is no real management that gives a rip around there anymore and things are way too comfortable for employees.

Delicious pizza & calzones! I can see why others have recommended this restaurant to me. Their pizza was delicious. The servers were friendly. The space has plenty of seating with a fun, laidback vibe to it. Definitely hope to come back so I can try more items off their menu!

We've gone there a few times because it's so local. We like the cheesy bread appetizer, and the other food is ok. We weren't impressed with the pizza, and the Hawaiian one tastes drenched in pineapple juice it's almost too sweet. The seating area is usually been a bit crusty and unswept when we've gone. Service has always been friendly for us.

I'm not sure why everyone lately has left bad reviews. This place is great! Stop bySuper hole in the wall place with the cutest decor you could ever want. Seriously so stinking cute. We had a pizza and beef ravioli. The pizza was cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms and saussage it was really good. It could have been left in the oven one more minute but that just me and I'm weird like that. 4/5Hubby had the beef ravioli. He said it was delicious. Cheesy and looked wonderful. 4/5Our waitress was amazing, great sense of humor and very Friendly. 5/5 just because of her I'd go back. Overall I'd give 4.5 out of 5.

Their house dressing is ranch. Not Italian, but ranch. Ranch. They don't offer an antipasto or Caprese salad but they have a taco salad. Taco salad. And when i asked what kind of sausage is in the pizza the response was "ground." Am i in "an authentic italian restaurant" or not.Sigh.

This is my meal right out of the box. This cost me over 24 dollars. It was ok. I can't get over the price, and how much was given to me. My family and I went here a year ago and we didn't have this problem. I am not going to order to go from here again.

This place really needs some kind of overhaul !! It's so very dark inside. Ceilings are dark, wood paneling, etc. Looks like it hasn't been updated in many, many years. I ordered a pizza, and it was drenched in grease. I threw the leftovers out. There was nothing special about the taste. The flow of the restaurant is NOT well thought out. Service is hit and miss. Some wait staff were very attentive to their tables, and some rarely checked in. This restaurant has been around for years. If it wants to continue, it needs to be updated!
