The food here is very good. Lots of flavor and nothing has been bad so far. I've only ordered through door dash so I can't comment on the restaurant, however, I will say they always provide everything ordered so I believe their service is pretty good! The portions are smaller than most Asian restaurants but the taste IMO makes up for it. Normally I like my sweet and sour chicken to have sauce on the side, but their sauce is SO GOOD! Love the sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, and the crab Rangoon's.

First time picking up togo today. I ordered chicken pad thai and fried rice. When I walk in and gave them my name they were confused and said no one by that name worked there??? I repeated that I had a togo order and then got my food. The restaurant was empty so I don't understand where the confusion would be.Food tasted pretty good except the chicken pad thai had three large pieces of tofu in it. One piece would be an accident, three was making my order look bigger than it was. I am not sure I could recommend this place. Maybe it was the B team working on a Sunday.

I got take out from here and found things to be average. The spring rolls were appropriately crunchy with a good filling. That was the bright spot of my meal. The chicken fried rice, however, was partially dried out. Had the rice been sitting out a long time? It also lacked much flavor. It was very disappointing. If the restaurant can't get rice right, that indicates a problem.I'm not sure I'll be giving them a second visit.

Everything here is made fresh and comes out hot. Kung pow chicken and shrimp can't be beat. Great food at better than panda pricing.

Zao has a new owner after being closed for about three months. So I had to try it again because I thoroughly enjoyed it previously.I went with my usual of garlic chicken since I had that so many times I knew what it would taste like There was a younger girl taking my order. I felt a little rushed, but since I knew I was going to have garlic chicken I just said that, and that was it. I paid her and then took a seat to wait for it to be ready. It was about 10 minutes or so, and they hand me my bag .Once home since I was very hungry, I dug right in. This was not the same garlic chicken I had previously. This was spicy. I mean spicy to the point where it probably had about five forkful and said enough because my mouth was on fire. The pricing went up a little bit and they have a few other options that they didn't have previously. I have only been there once since they have reopened, but I do plan on going again. This time maybe just an array of different appetizers.

Oddly my previous reviews seem to have disappeared into the ether for Zao's. We have been there many times, both when it was under previous ownership and new ownership. So let's focus for now on how things are now. Having been there several times, the quality has improved and the food is now very good. Only do take out from here, as it is, shall we say, a spartan dining area. Which is fine, no complaints. We come in, order wait, watch the folks with high power leaf blowers blow leaves across the complex and into the wood, and then leave with our food to enjoy at home. This visit included orange beef with the sauce on the side to retain the crispiness of the beef, the Generals chicken ( you know the one ) lo mein noodles with shrimp (yum) and the egg fried rice. The latter is quite good but not quite as scrumptious as under previous ownership. All other dishes were very good, with the lomein (sic) with shrimp and the orange beef being clear winners. The orange sauce, which was on the side, was very good, not too sweet. The fortune cookies were fresh not stale and they provide a boatload of condiments and utensils though sadly no mustard. Sniff Sniff... we shall return with updates, and perhaps that lost review will return as well.

This is my go to local Chinese food joint. I live there flavors. The Gen Tso's is great! Crispy and not doughy. They have an onion pancake that is delicious too. Unique to me. I order it every other time. They do a Rangoon I like as well. Sweet and Sour chicken is also very good.

We have now ordered from the new owners five times. I very much want Zao's Chinese Kitchen to be successful and to remain open indefinitely; however, in order to do so, they are going to need to address a few major issues. 1. There is a serious lack of flavor pretty much across all entrees, proteins, and sauces. The food does not taste bad, but rather just doesn't taste like much. 2. While the lunch menu pricing is the same as it was under the prior ownership, the entrée has shrunk by half, which just isn't enough food for a hungry adult/teenager. The eggrolls are the same as they were before, not great, and the soup falls into the lack of flavor category. We will continue to order from Zao's on a regular basis with the knowledge that the entrées are small and that the flavor is lacking, but also it is very close, they deliver, and the pricing is not outrageous.

My 3rd time there & it was always great! This time, today, I got the same things general Taos chicken & it was spicy I couldn't eat it, it was burning my tongue. Why can't I get the same as last 2 times. Places always are ruining it. There were too many red peppers in the dish, not bell peppers! I don't think I'll be going back
