It's been awhile since I've been to downtown Georgetown I never knew they had an upscaled restaurant here that served steak so I had to go check it out.The interior was had a rustic look to it with contemporary decor. The lighting was warming with very light sunlight. The servers there were warm and welcoming and attentive. We weren't expecting a bread basket and our server surprised me with one. Our server Avery had the best customer awareness I've ever encountered. He kept us informed about the timing of the food (which is one reason for a 4star)It took roughly 45mins for our food. Possibly a shift change but still. The ribeye plate was cooked perfectly. I've been all around and this is the first place to get it right the first time. The mashed potatoes were nothing to rave about kinda flavorless. The sweet carrots weren't sweet at all but love how the carrots were hand cut and peeled. The Ny steak also cooked perfectly. Once again mashed potatoes and green beans lacked flavor. My overall review for this establishment is a 4 out of 5. If I'm ever in the need for a really good steak and alot of free time I would return.

I have given myself a day to cool off before posting this review. My wife and I have been to Wildfire several times and on more than one occasion walked out due to the lack of service.Last night we had a reservation at a wine bar down the street to play trivia. Our wine bar reservation was for 7PM. We went to Wildfire to get a quick bite. We walked in at 6PM, sat down in the bar area and ordered a Mexican Margarita and an order of nachos. I got the Mexican Margarita at 6:25 (yes 25 minutes to get a drink). I told the server we had a 7PM appointment so please check on the nachos. At 6:50 I chased down the server and said that I needed to be somewhere in 10 minutes please get the nachos and pack them to go. At 6:52 the server brings out a plate of nachos and said "they just finished plating them and sat them down". I stated again that I needed to be somewhere in now 8 minutes please do what I asked and pack them to go. She took them away and came back a few minutes later with them packed to go (looking forward to soggy nachos later tonight). To clarify...it took 50 minutes to get a plate of nachos!!! To further add to the annoyance of this, some friends of ours walked in at 6:15, sat a table away, had drinks and an order of wings and were out of there before we were!I will NEVER EVER go to Wildfire again. If there was a way to give zero stars I would. Understand, the food is okay, the service sucks and it wasn't just on this night, it is a pattern at Wildfire.

Checked out Happy Hour (arrived 520 -HH til 6 per website) with intention of taking my brother-in-law (from Boston) next week. 2 beers ($11 each-22 oz per bartender)--NOT HH price. Calamari was cold, NOT HH price. Scallops were ok (served with BBQ sauce ?!-my oversight -never would have imagined this sauce with seafood). Underwhelmed. Had higher expectations but for nearly $70 with tip--NOT!

Great lunch experience at this old world restaurant. I tried the Seared Ahi Tuna topped with a lemon crawfish Buerre Blanc sauce. It had collard greens and a rice pilaf and as odd as the combination may sound it was really great! My friend got a steak salad and said it was pretty good. I really liked the way they decorated for Christmas!

This was our first time here for brunch. The coffee, iced tea is local and superb! The scones were delicious! They were not like Irish scones my mother made. The chocolate raspberry flavor was subtle which gave it amazing flavor. My wife loves migas. They did not disappoint. I tried the El Paso style Benedict. The only thing missing was jalapeños. Still it was an excellent version. I had their French onion soup for appetizer. It's not the best mix but they kill it. Again another great meal. You can't get a bad meal. The service is always great. We sat at the bar. Yes it's great because the bartenders always offer great banter with excellent service!

I took my parents to Wildfire to celebrate my dad's birthday and had a great experience! The service was good overall, the food was tasty, and the pricing was reasonable for the portion sizes you receive. I'd come back if I were in the area and wanted a nicer dinner.FAST FACTS:* Parking - Free street parking nearby but can be hit or miss depending on the day and time... you should be able to find something a block or two away though* Reservations - Yes but you have to call the restaurant (I wish there was a way to reserve online)* Online ordering - No* Open for brunch on Sundays and lunch and dinner dailySERVICE - The check in process for our reservation was a little clunky but we got seated on time. Our server was a little soft spoken and hard to hear at times, but he took great care of us and was very pleasant! The food came out quickly after ordering and our server checked on us frequently to make sure we had what we needed.PRICING - The total was $153.81 after tax but before tip for a bowl of hickory shrimp corn chowder ($9), 3 small red oak nopales garden salads ($5 each), 3 10 oz ribeye steaks ($24 each), oak fired elk tenderloin ($35), and a glass of wine ($12) . I think the pricing was reasonable considering the portion sizes and quality of ingredients!Complimentary rolls are served shortly after you sit down... they were tasty!HICKORY SHRIMP CORN CHOWDER (5/10) - The overall flavor of the corn chowder was delicious but the shrimp were very overcooked. I wouldn't order this again.SMALL RED OAK NOPALES GARDEN SALAD (7/10) - It's a pretty typical side salad which is perfect as a starter or a side. The base of the salad is a mix of greens and it's topped with some shredded carrot, red onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a choice of dressing. I'd order this again.10 OZ RIBEYE STEAK (8/10) - This was a great steak and seemed bigger than 10 oz (no complaints). Each steak was cooked as requested. You get a potato on the side which you can get fully loaded with butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon, and green onions... it's plenty to fill you up! I'd order this again!OAK FIRED ELK TENDERLOIN (9/10) - I loved this dish! I got the elk cooked rare and it was perfectly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor! The blackberry port reduction wasn't overly noticeable but the tomato chutney on the side was AMAZING! The mashed potatoes were also delicious and there was a good size serving of asparagus. I'd order this again!3 ALARM BLACKOUT CAKE (9/10) - This was a complimentary dessert since we were celebrating a birthday... and WOW! It was absolutely delicious! The pictures speak for itself... it's the perfect size to split with someone else (although eating it on your own is also acceptable because it's that good). Overall, I think Wildfire is a great spot in Georgetown for a steak dinner or if you're in the mood for some more exotic meat options. I'd recommend it to others!

I went here on a Wednesday around 11 am and was immediately seated. Our server took a bit of time to get our drinks, but she was very sweet. It was a bit busy and it did take a while for the server to get our order. I ordered calamari and it was delicious. I do wish that the serving was bigger. I was torn between the ostrich and the lamb chops. I asked my server which one should I get and she said "definitely the lamb chops don't get the ostrich" I was a bit taken back by her bluntness but I appreciated her honesty. Our food took 24 minutes to come out. I was hoping that I would get more onion rings. But they were good. I wasn't a big fan of the blue cheese mash potatoes. The lamb chops were good! The chicken fried chicken was very good!! I just don't feel like the price matched the food. I did feel out of place. Everyone else was dressed sort of elegantly and we were in our casual clothes. I do plan on going back just not too soon.

I'm writing this review based on having eaten dinner here twice in under two weeks. The ambience both times was pleasant if not noteworthy. The first time was on prime rib Monday to celebrate a birthday. When the reservations were made, the birthday was mentioned and the person on the other end wrote a little note. On the day of, no acknowledgement was made. Not a huge deal. But the food was lacking. My husband's prime rib was an exercise in carving out inedible portions to get to the small amount of edible meat. Mine was a better cut but the meat was dry and lacking. A week later I dined there with friends. My grilled chicken pasta dish was tasty. The shrimp chowder was appreciated by all who ordered it. One friend ordered the rib eye steak and I could tell that most of it was inedible, again due to the inferior cut. To the kitchen: strive to provide consistently high quality steak offerings. Your customers pay too much to walk away disappointed in your food.

It's always a nice experience. Having said that, make sure you know what you want. There are so many options and they are all quite different. First time there we just had drinks sitting outside watching people. It was fun!Yesterday we went in for lunch and really enjoyed food.

It pains me to give 2 stars but the last 3 times I've eaten here (and I have dined here regularly for the last 9 years), it isn't the same place anymore. It's not the food. ITS THE SERVICE. They are chronically understaffed, the quality of hires they have made for servers is a much poorer quality than before. We used to get VERY high-end quality service here and it was a pleasant place to dine. Now, 3 times in a row, its a DISAPPOINTMENT
