Wiggle Room Austin

Shout out to the best bartender in Austin... Christian is the man! Him and his crew threw a pop-up Christmas event at the Wiggle Room and it was my first time in the bar. I had the "Not The Gumdrop Buttons" which was a gingerbread-y cocktail that both photogenic and delicious. The vibes here were on point! Will have to go check this place out again when it's not a Christmas bar and see what it's all about.

The Wiggle Room's crowd definitely matches the vibe. It's a little too intimate and empty for me. Unlike the hustle and bustle of its surrounding neighbors, the Wiggle Room doesn't get overly packed or as bumping as the others. The DJ plays a ton of booty popping throwbacks, but the setting is off. For some, this might be exactly what you're looking for, but I'm out on West Sixth looking for something with more energy.

Nicely decorated bar off of west 6th. I enjoyed the laidback atmosphere of this place. It's a nice little haven in the midst of the chaos that surrounds it. The drinks were decently priced and the music was good. I'll be stopping by again.

this is a hella fun, cool cocktail lounge on West 6th that my friends & i have been frequenting on Saturday nights. the music/DJs consistently on point with bangers and hype, uppity vibes. the cocktail servers and bartender staff here couldn't be more genuine, kind, accommodating, patient, quick, & knowledgeable. we come in here and act like hooligans n fools, but they always make us feel somewhat classy doing itwe typically get one of the handful of booths with bottles, and just boogie n drink the night away....love the bigass disco ball in the middle of the dance floor, the 70s decor + energy, and the low moody lighting. a few sat nights ago, we managed to snag the big private room they have, & had an absolute, 10/10 Top Night!!! get yo groove onnnn

This is a little cool cocktail lounge on the West side off of 6th street near the Star Bar. I was told about this place by my muay Thai coach at my gym. I had looked up the menu before coming here and will note the cocktails are a little pricey. I landed on a Singapore sling and my husband got an old fashioned. I loved the old-fashioned even though I am not an old-fashioned gal. The Singapore sling was not overall sweet which I enjoyed even more. The inside and outside vibes were aesthetically pleasing. We sat outside in the lounge area on couches. It would be great for a smaller group. I would also recommend reservations as this place can get busy. We got lucky to get in without them.

I'm a bit torn on this place. I had seen it hyped up so much on all of the austin influencer accounts and it was made to look like a groovy disco dancing bar. We were excited and paid the $10 a person to make a reservation a month in advance. That was ridiculous, because when we showed up there was only one other party there, and probably 8 open booths, an empty middle table, and an empty "VIP Lounge". The $40 we paid for our reservation was a complete waste. We asked if we could sit at the larger table in the corner, and we're told that it was the "VIP Lounge" and we would have to pay an extra $50 per person to sit there (mind you, while it was completely empty in there). It's odd that they wouldn't just ask us to buy a bottle or two instead of another waste of an empty $200 ($50 X 4) just for a seating area. The drink menu starts at $15 for every single thing, including the "ranch water on draft". You'd expect the draft item to be at least a little cheaper than everything else? The ranch water was a strong drink though. I got the Saturn cocktail and it was good, but it's a shame to pay $15 for a small glass with so much ice that I took about 3 sips of each drink. The ambiance and decor was a cool western vibe. I especially liked the outdoor patio, but it was freezing the night we visited. The strange thing was that this disco bar had no dance floor, and instead a massive table in the middle of what would be the dance floor.The music was also not what I had expected at all. It was solely country western music, which can be nice sometimes, but they could really use some more dance or bar type music mixed in. Overall I was a little disappointed. If the reservation was free, as all other reservations are in Austin, it would've made a better first impression. It's a cool space but it might be best as a patio spot on a warm day, and not as a pregame or dancing bar.

Stay away!!! Funny how most of the reviews are from people who have one review on Yelp and it's the wiggle room. Instead of addressing their issues they choose to find people to post fake reviews.

Super fun and welcoming with a nice dance floor to wiggle whatcha' got! I was impressed with the cocktails and the attention the servers paid to our table...we never had to look for her to order drinks...she would just see that our glasses needed to be freshened up.We will be back to wiggle and spend time with friends. The DJ was fantastic and had me moving all night.

Ok, fresh from the bar on a random Thursday night... it was awesome. I'm so happy they had real actual crafted cocktails and the employees were SO nice! There's so many cool sections of this small bar. I'm still a little shocked on what a great night we had....Thank you, wiggle room!

Wiggle Room is the spot to hit if you're looking for a chill vibe without emptying your wallet. Drinks are solid and the prices are on point. The crew running the place are cool...friendly and down-to-earth. They have cool events like Cutthroat Karaoke and tattoo pop-ups. They usually have some pretty good DJs. It's the perfect place to kick back or get lit. Definitely worth checking out.
