I love brunch, and try to meet my friends a few times a month to catch up and keep up. Can't believe I didn't know about Whiskey Cake Brunch! Service was impeccable, and the restaurant has a great vibe. They have a rotating deviled egg special, which was the perfect start with some French press coffee. Steak and eggs hit the spot and were cooked perfectly as ordered. I don't do potatoes but the swap for a simple side salad that was amazing. My friend had a mix of tasty items including eggs, crispy potatoes, bacon, and a pancake. All delicious. Can't wait to come back for more!

4.5 My husband and I decided to try Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar when in the area. We drove up and parked easily but it was at 11:00 AM and they had just opened. As we were walking in I noticed a nice outdoor waiting area. We walked in and a friendly hostess greeted us. I noticed that the restaurant had lots of seating with a large bar area. The hostess sat us down quickly and then we waited. We didn't wait too long but it wasn't lunch time busy yet. After a few minutes we were greeted by a really nice waitress. She did a great job answering our questions and checked on us through out. For a starter we ordered the Roasted Garlic Hummus which comes with a few pita pieces and fresh veggies. For my main dish I ordered the Chicken and Cheese Melt which comes with chicken, bacon, cheese, tomato, sprouts, and mayo on sourdough bread. The waitress asked if I wanted avacado with it and I said yes. It comes with a choice of French Fries or Kettle Chips. I chose to have the Fries that came with a side of Ketchup. My husband ordered the Chicken and Waffle which comes with a waffle, chicken tenders, sunny side up eggs, a side of syrup and gravy. The Hummus was good. It had a hint of spice to it. The pita pieces were warm and the veggies were fresh. Both my husband and I enjoyed sharing this starter. The Chicken and Cheese Melt was good. All of the ingredients combined were fresh and yummy. My only complaint was that I really couldn't taste the cheese. The fries were good. I'm not big on this type of fry but these fries had a crispier exterior and the seasoning added a little flavor. I enjoyed eating the fries with the Ketchup. The Ketchup was tangy and tasty. It had mustard seeds in it which added flavor to it. It was definitely different than regular ketchup in a positive way. I tried my husband's Chicken and Waffle. The chicken was good. It was very moist on the inside and crispy and on the outside. The waffle was fluffy and light and the sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly. The syrup was sweet and the gravy was thick. Both were good options to add to the chicken and waffles. Overall it was pretty good. They had a cool atmosphere, great service and yummy food. We'd return in the future when in the area.

Came here Saturday morning at 11 for brunch- it was super busy but we made a reservation and our table was waiting for us! We all ordered the mimosa flight for $15- a perfect choice! You get four mini glasses- cranberry, orange, pineapple and grapefruit. I thought it was a really fair portion for price and all the nice tasted fresh and you could still taste the bubbles. One minor detraction is they are served on a wooden flight which is super hard for the servers to place down when holding multiple and a lot of our juice splashed out. For an app we got the goat cheese fondue- it's not really fondue it's just baked goat cheese with huge hunks of roasted garlic, olives and sundried tomatoes with roasted bread but who cares- it's damn delicious. I could have eaten that garlic all day. Kudos to our sever for bringing extra bread before we even asked. We also got a colossal cinnamon bun- it was not COLASSAL just bigger but again who cares, insanely good. For meals we had the chicken and waffles, the farmers breakfast and the apple French toast. Run RUN to get that French toast holy hell. I wish i could bathe in a vat of that homemade whipped cream. The apples and sauce, the fluffy bread, the crunch of the pecans...this was brunch dreams! The farmers plate was amazing for a more traditional breakfast plate and the jalapeno biscuit was divine. I loved that the served split it into two separate plates for my boyfriend and I when I said we were sharing. I didn't taste the chicken and waffles but the chicken tenders were massive and juicy and my friend loved it.Our serve was absolutely lovely and I cannot wait to come back!

First time here on a Friday night! It was very busy but we had a reservation so we were sat pretty quickly. The service in the beginning was very slow. It was definitely busy, and hard to find parking. My friend ordered the deviled eggs but was brought duck wings 2 different times until the deviled eggs were brought. The hummus was amazing!! The tavern burger was also really tasty. My only complaint was I wish there was a bit more options to choose from for food and maybe extend the happy hour by an hour. It's always hard to get there before 6, with all the traffic. The cocktails were 10/10!! It has a cozy vibe inside but very loud. I liked how it was more of an adult feeling to it.I spent around $80 for an app, entree, and 3 drinks. Next time I'd def come back just for drinks and bar bites.

Have always thought about going to this place , tempted by the tall pole signage. Finally gave it a try. Staff were very nice in greeting us and our server was very helpful , friendly and nice . Ambiance is amazing , you can see from the pics , with a rusty wooden finish . Interior decor is stunning!Food was great, tasty . We ordered the hot hen sandwich to share. Fries tasted fresh. Coffee was served in generous portions! We got in and out in 30 mins - weekday lunch !!!!

This was right next to the hotel so we could just walk over, we headed over our first day just to check it out and it was fantastic. Our server Paige, was excellent and went above and beyond. We were just there for drinks this time as we had eaten not that long before. They have several types of old fashioned and a whiskey library so there is no shortage of options. We were also there during Social hour which is the happy hour and has a small list of cheaper drinks and 3 snacks. The snack we wanted was out which when you only have 3 options seems a bit iffy but we got the pork rinds which were good. The drinks were amazing and again Paige was FANTASTIC. She was helpful and friendly. Shana even pointed out Paige has a deep familiarity with the menu and the whiskey's on it. She even got us to try the namesake Whiskey Cake and it was delicious. We knew we would be back for more drinks and food the next time. The decor is low lighting and relaxing. There is covered outside seating with a TV and a bar area. They have tables for 2, 4, and large tables for large groups. The overall ambiance is super cozy, fit in with the weather and the season we visited. The menu is also top notch both in content and in the way it is laid out. Everything in a place, a small box for each item. It helped find things quickly. We went the next day to try a whiskey flight, they have pre made ones or they can choose your own and pick 4 of them. We did that and it was very good. Our server Isabella was good but not as friendly as Paige. It felt sometimes like she was annoyed at us for reasons we couldn't understand. She was never rude and did take a nice picture of the whiskey flight for us. The whiskey's we tried were Yellow Rose Outlaw, Nikka single Malt, Yoichi, Japan, Rabbit Hole Deringer Sherry Cask Bourbon, and Widow Jane 10. Shana got the shrimp and grits and I got a Chicken Melt. We enjoyed both of them though I was not as impressed by the Chicken Melt as I was the Whiskey Cake. Still the good far outweighed the minor issues and if we had one near us we would be back.

I came here for a late lunch, absolutely famished, and left feeling completely satisfied. The server was attentive and made sure everything was great. I tried the rotisserie farm bird, and the chicken was moist with really good flavor. The vegetables were also well-prepared.For dessert, I had the whiskey cake, which was delicious--lots of pecans, and the homemade vanilla whipped cream was the perfect touch. It was a great way to finish the meal. The restrooms were clean, and the interior decor was interesting, especially with the unique egg shell container on the ceiling. Overall, a great experience!

Overall, a great spot for date night. The bacon bites were delicious. My husband and I both got the steak frites and while they needed a bit of salt, it was still delicious. Their whiskey cake was a great way to finish the night. The bourbon/whiskey list was pretty good and their cocktails were delicious. My only complaint is the parking situation is a nightmare. Be prepared to have to park in the grass off the I-35 service road or off a side street.
