Good prices but the most consistent on price. The only problem is that coming out of Costco where you spent $400, your enthusiasm on spending more money distracts from the deals that are available. I always stop there after Costco and look to see what they are offering that week.

It's a great liquor store to pop in when you're nearby at Costco or Whole Foods. Many mistakenly think they are Costco's liquor store, but, due to state law, they're just a tenant. The folks here are friendly. It's not a full-line store, so they don't have everything in all the sizes, but they do cover the basics. They often have three tastings running at the same time. One of the best things about Western Beverages is that they work hard to provide gift sets at the holidays. You can also find better prices on some items than at the chain liquor stores, although not always. They also keep a large variety of "stocking stuffer" items up by the register. This means you can refill Santa's "anti-freeze" before he goes back up the chimney. It's not everybody's liquor store, and is particularly deficient when it comes to a wine and beer selection. However, if that's what you want, just go next door to Costco where they have that product selection covered--and then some.

My go to liquor store in Austin! Best prices in town, and even better staff. They are very knowledge with their liquor, wine, and beer selections and they are happy to educate and help. I love the selection of mini bottles (perfect for piñatas) and they always have great gift sets.

The staff here are really friendly and are willing to give a hand. I do find the selection a little thinner than my usual places, but generally quite sufficient to my needs.

alright, so i had never noticed this next to Costco (and for some reason, it's hard to find a reference to the William Cannon location, and they don't seem to have a website... no matter though) but the other weekend i'm walking out of costco and I'm like "Wait wtf? there's a liquor store RIGHT HERE!??" of course, it was sunday and so i had to come back. Turns out this place is a gem. The guy there was incredibly helpful. He gave us vodka and tequila recommendations of the kind you rarely get from any employee: "you know, you might want to consider this one, because it is cheaper but it's way better." seriously, i was just going to go with some Jose Cuervo, but he's like "actually, this other one is aged, 100% agave, and cheaper..." wow. So they're next to costco, it seems to be their thing, they've partnered with costco or something, BUT - you DO NOT need a costco membership to buy from them. I know i know... specs is like right down the road, and this place doesn't have the worlds largest selection, but it has everything you need - all the basics and some nice things - and their prices are way better. so just go ok? they're nice. they won't bite and they won't be pretentious. Seriously, i don't think i'll be buying liquor from anywhere else anytime soon. [copied from my google review that i just made because this place didn't exist on yelp... problem SOLVED!]
