Fantastic food for the price. I had the smothered chicken and meatloaf. I couldn't stop eating the plate. The chef came out to greet me and ask about my day. Highly recommend.

Oxtails were tender and very delicious! Boudin was tasty with tender casing. Collards were seasoned well. All portions were generous. The cornbread was a large square that went well with the greens. Definitely going back.

First of all 5 stars, I love this place.We recently had the opportunity to try this place. We had the smothered chicken and a pork chop plate. For our sides we had yams, cabbage, beans and mac n cheese, all were very good. The person working the counter was incredibly kind. I cant wait to eat there again

Service was hella friendly.Too bad the food we ordered wasn't as delicious as the people hyped it up to be.Had the catfish and shrimp "basket" but it contained 2 small pieces of fish and maybe 4 normal sized shrimp with 2 slices bread. Not seasoned enough for my liking, neither were the collard greens.The lemon cake was hard and dry. Not moist & soft. Corn on the cob was good and the fruit punch was nice and sweet. Rice & beans are okay.All that for $60. A bit steep especially for the serving portion, I just expected more. More food and more flavor.

The people were really sweet and the food was great. The smothered chicken was the best item we had. The flavor of the gravy/sauce was something I hadn't tasted in many years since living up in Indianapolis! The collard greens were just the right amount of tangy and savory, and the Mac n cheese had a really great texture, if anything just needing some salt imo (which is provided, and honestly better served as they do for people to add as they prefer). Would definitely recommend!
