Vista West Ranch was my dream venue for both my ceremony and reception. I had been following it on Pinterest for years. So, when we stopped by for an Open House, I was sold immediately. Be prepared to have a long wait if you want to get married here! The waiting period was about 18 months when we booked in January 2016, but it was totally worth it.The venue is absolutely gorgeous, it comes with several perks (DJ, Bartenders, and a Coordinator). Having a coordinator the day of my wedding absolutely was a godsend. She works with you and handles so many things that could and do go wrong on your wedding day. The DJ and Bartenders were great and very easy to work with too. Note - Bartenders included as part of package are just for the labor worked. It does not include the glasses, mixers, alcohol., etc. Also, another side note - If you are planning on booking VWR, I recommend working with their floral company, Petal Pushers, because they really know how to make the venue shine. The Vista West Ranch team was always professional and willing to answer my questions promptly. They were flexible with some of my requests and were a pleasure to work with. Joe and Stacy have created the perfect wedding venue. The ceremony site is perfectly placed to see the sunset under some shaded trees, and the air-conditioned (important!) barn is unique and beautiful. It includes so many decor features already and really stands on its own (which will save you $$ on decor!)With Vista West, you get access to the venue starting at 2pm on Saturday. This did slightly impact our timeline because it was impossible for us to get our hair and makeup done at onsite due to the number of girls (6 getting hair/makeup done including bride). So, we just had our hair done offsite in the morning and got our makeup done in the bridal suite after arriving at 2pm. You are able to add more hours with VWR for an additional cost.Overall, my husband and I loved our experience with VWR and we feel like it was completely worth it. It helped us have our dream wedding and we couldn't be happier with our decision to book it.

This Texan styled wedding ranch is tucked in the heart of Dripping Springs near Austin. I went there for a friend's wedding on a Saturday. The place itself can be hard to find, given that it is in the middle of nowhere and the signs are easy to miss. There is a decent parking lot for about 25ish cars in the front and more parking in the back which is a plus. The walkway is full cobbles so can be hard to walk on in heels. The indoor venue is warmly lit and has very Texan barn kind of vibes. It was good for a wedding but I am not sure what else does it have to offer apart from that.

I recently attended Vista West Ranch for a wedding. There were a lot of out of town guests and everyone who worked there was so accommodating! The venue is absolutely stunning!! The property is one of the most beautiful in the hill country, and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The bride and groom were over the moon about the whole experience. If you want a beautiful place with a lot of inclusions this is for you. You won't be disappointed!

Best venue ever! Between the professional staff and going above to make my wedding special despite the rain. I wanted a rustic elegant wedding and this venue fit that perfectly!

Great place for a wedding! Many scenic and memorable places on this property make it a win win! The bunk house which is reserved mainly for the guys is a great place to relax! Be sure to get a picture next to the old jalopy. I was at my sister-law's wedding and I filmed the whole thing.

I did finally hear back from VWR (right after I wrote my original post). My husband and I were informed that we would not be getting any portion of our deposit back for 4 various reason the owner's husband stated in an e-mail. I can personally say that 3 of the reasons he used were completely false and unsubstantiated. The fourth reason (candle wax on linens) I can neither confirm, nor deny, as I wasn't there during the clean up.I'll just repeat what I said in my previous review - make sure that you get EVERYTHING in writing. The family which owns VWR is very nice, and we took their word for a lot of things during our planning. It seems to me that they will tell you what you want to hear up front, but then pretend like they have no recollection of that conversation later. I would not recommend VWR to any of my friends who are getting married...and I think that says it all.

I'm getting married on September 24, 2011. Swoon.Vista West is dreamy, southern, beautiful - all of the characterists I've dreamed of since I was a little girl.Since I haven't gotten married, yet, this review is more about the customer service. Cindy, the owner, is nothing short of fabulous. She is quick to respond by email, full of answers and to top it off, her family exudes wedding family - one of her daughters owns and operates the famous Petal Pushers and her other daughter, a bartending company called Served. More soon. Check out their beautiful website in the interim.

DishearteningI would CAUTION any bride/groom or organizer who is considering having an event at either the Creek Haus or Vista West Ranch, both of which are owned by Stacey and Joe. My fiancé and I enjoyed working with them in the beginning - they were friendly, helpful and responsive. But when the pandemic hit, that changed. We understood that the world was in a peculiar place when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and companies were struggling, but at the end of the day you hope people will do the right thing, SADLY the Creek Haus and Vista West Ranch did NOT!Our destination wedding was to be in November 2020 in Dripping Springs, Texas (we live in Northern California). As nurses working on the frontlines of the pandemic, we had the foresight to reach out to our venue in May 2020 to postpone our wedding to 2021. If you look at the timeline May 8th 2020 - Texas surpassed 1,000 COVID-19 deaths. On June 3rd, Phase 3 of reopening began, however, on June 19th Texas surpassed 100,000 COVID 19 cases. Stacey and Joe were not understanding or sympathetic to our concerns. They were unwilling to postpone our wedding to 2021 without an additional 50% of our original venue cost ($26,000), totaling an additional $13,000. We tried to make appeals to their sense of human decency and compassion but the Southern Hospitality they tout all melted away. It became all about business and money. We were asked to continue paying the remaining $13,000 balance due for our wedding in November 2020. All of our guests were traveling from out of state to Texas for our wedding - from New York, Georgia, Montana and California. There were too many uncertainties in this situation, we were ultimately forced to cancel our wedding at both venues, and we lost our deposit of $13,000.A few months after terminating our contract, I attempted contact with the venue because I saw they actually booked a wedding on the Friday we would have been on their property for our wedding weekend. I asked them to reconsider giving us some of the $13,000 back as they were able to recuperate some of the money, but they never even responded. At the end of the day this family (and their multiple companies and business ventures) is looking out for only them and not their client, so BE WARY!We hope no couple has had to/ or will ever have to go through this devastation of having your wedding derailed by whatever is going on in the world and then being out over $13,000 for what was supposed to be your special day and now leaves you with a bitter taste in your mouth.
