Violet Sky Rooftop Lounge

This rooftop cocktail bar in Southwest Austin, tucked inside the unassuming AC Hotel, was a pleasant surprise. I stopped by on a random Wednesday after work, looking for something different for happy hour since I live nearby.It wasn't too busy when I arrived, and there was plenty of seating. I chose a high top table to take in the view, which offered a nice mix of nature and a distant view of the Austin skyline.I tried the Violet Muse, a delightful cocktail with gin and lavender flavors. However, the service was a bit spotty, with only one bartender and limited evening hours.I'd love to see them expand their hours for Sunday Funday and maybe add more small bites, but I'll definitely be back for the drinks and the view.

I wanted to like it. And the location is great. It's rooftop and has a wonderful view. The bartender was the only server and he was doing the best he could but they really needed waitstaff to serve also. If you are looking for craft cocktails look elsewhere. If you are ok with basic drinks and hard to order food but a great view head on over otherwise wait for an improvement.

It's too bad this place wasn't closer in town. While nothing about it is absolutely outstanding, everything was pleasant and appetizing. We came here for an election night party, and they paid attention to details. A live musician played, and took some requests. Stickers saying either "I voted" or "I drank" were provided. Flags were up for decoration. The bar made some clever politically-themed drinks. The food I tried was good but not show-stopping. The nachos needed more cheese. The elote dip was good but creamy enough that I had to stop myself for fear of eating an entire cup of mayo. The salsa was sweet and just a little spicy. My friends also enjoyed their tacos and flatbreads. The view was nice, but would have been more spectacular closer to the city.

Great rooftop bar with good music and service. It's in the AC hotel(map is a bit confusing). Taj was bartending and brought life to the atmosphere. Great views and seating options. Cocktails were great, so was the hummus. Can't say enough , so check it out.

Marc, our server, was fantastic and the elote dip was amazing! I would highly recommend this hotel, the rooftop bar, and the view!

Nice view if you're at the hotel. Worth stopping by and having a drink and maybe a bite to eat

I ordered a mojito it was basically soda water maybe lime juice and an old wilted piece of peppermint. The view was nice but not the lux feel like the rest of the hotel. Disappointed because I expected a lot more. Especially for a hosted private event.

This place is great but I think it's mostly due to our bartender Kris. He had excellent recommendations and a great taste in music.
