Uptown Lounge Craft Kitchen and Cocktails

I was very pleased with my dining experiences at this restaurant. At both breakfast and dinner I received great, attentive service. And, at both breakfasts Amy made me feel especially welcome!The table came with a bottle of water for self-service, which I appreciated. The wine list was of good quality. My server at dinner was able to give me a solid recommendation for one to pair with my salmon. She was dead on with how well it complimented the fish. As for the salmon, it wasn't overly seasoned and was incredibly flaky. It was a good size as well.For breakfast, The Breakfast Plate's eggs were cooked perfectly with appropriately cooked bacon. I enjoyed the potatoes that accompanied it as well. The Buttermilk Pancakes meal was a failure though. The pancakes were gooey inside. My server, Amy, offered to have them remade, but I declined the offer. So I accepted a parfait, which was easily one of the best I've had in Austin. The granola with the berries were perfectly balanced, and the granola wasn't super chunky. Amy was 100% invested in my meal satisfaction. The dining room is quite pretty with lovely set tables. Every time I ate, I felt a tad underdressed! But they don't care if you're comfortably casual, and i saw a family with small children looking very relaxed and vacationy and they were welcome.

Attended a holiday party for the EuroCircle group here last week. They hosted another event here couple months back as well. It's a great location for those of us up north. In addition to catching up with friends, they offered a special menu for attendees with cocktails and food. Loved the seasonal margarita and the ceviche. They have nice couches with tables, stand up tables, and a bar. Only drawback is that it can get really noisy in the bar area when a lot of people are there so it can be hard to hear during conversations. Maybe they can do something to help with acoustics? Beware though that GPS/Maps usually send you to the wrong side of the hotel so make sure you go straight back after you turn into the property.

This restaurant is a unique find in Austin! When I was looking for a new brunch spot to try with my boyfriend, we saw that Uptown was an option online, though we had never heard of it before. That's because we later realized that it was actually the Cambria Hotel's in-building restaurant. We also realized we didn't need reservations, since we and one other family were the only ones dining in for Sunday brunch. The woman who attended to us was very friendly and accommodating. I was able to get a flavorful cappuccino and eggs benedict made vegetarian friendly. The Hollandaise sauce was swapped out for queso, which was a fun twist! All-in-all, a great brunch was had by all. The food was not the best we'd ever had in regards to other brunch places, but knowing that crowds are not a problem here makes this a great back-up spot if the other brunch places in town are backed up!

When looking for the restaurant we didn't realize it was in a hotel so it took us a moment to figure that out. But the place was nice and had lots of options for comfy seating including couches. The you g lady helping gnus was new and super sweet. The food was decent but definitely a little over priced. All in all not a bad experience.

Was charged $48 for two dirty martinis and also over charged on canned Pearl Snap which was advertised as $4 but billed $24 for 3

Very bad service. No one around at 7:30 pm and took about 15 min to finally talk to someone. But that person is rude and blaming us that no need for server right away and that we could have seated anywhere. We were seated but again no one came to give us menu or take our orders. Worse restaurant I've ever been in Austin.

Wow! This place is great and the hotel is beautiful. I had to check it out after seeing the great reviews and food/drink pics on Google. The cocktails are delicious and are even served in chilled glasses. I ordered the whipped feta and burger - everything was excellent. I will definitely be back to try more things!
