Upper Crust Bakery

I'm not a fan of carrot cake or cream cheese frosting but I ordered one from Upper Crust for a birthday and it was DELICIOUS. The frosting itself was light and fluffy. The cake was super fresh. When I think of carrot cake, I think dense - this was opposite. I might be a carrot cake convert!I go to Upper Crust 1-2x week. Love the sourdough bread. Texan croissant is delicious too. A favorite place for coffee and lattes too. Quite a gem!

Celebrating Valentine's Day at Uppercrust Bakery! I purchased chocolate covered strawberries for my husband. Thursday will be crazy at the bakery with a bazillion pickups. Decided to avoid the rush and picked them up today. I was the official taste tester before my purchase.While it was busy but not overly busy today, there was a wait in line. I had to wait while they finished up my order.Everything I've eaten at Uppercrust basket I've love. Look forward to my b husband sharing his chocolate covered strawberries with v me...fingers crossed.There was a slight mix up about packaging of the Chocolate covered strawberries but was rectified. The cashier made the appropriate adjustments.Uppercrust basket has high quality baked goods! There were folks in the restaurant eating alone, friends catching up and senior couples.

Food 5 stars!! The quiche was fresh! The cinnamon roll was flaky and amazing. The cream cheese croissants was so good and the coffee yum! I took some home to enjoy later. I can't wait!Service 4 stars. Employees barely smiled, they did the job and the line moved quickly. Nothing to complain about just not extra friendly. It was pretty busy too.

Wonderful bakery with top quality items. Love the carrot cake and everything else I've ordered. Service is super quick and uber friendly. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite bakeries! The cakes are amazing and the service is great. This bakery is always busy and the parking lot gets full quickly! They have a delicious assortment of baked goods with indoor seating consisting of round cafe tables and chairs. Outdoor picnic table seating is also available. This is my go to bakery for special occasions!

Much of my 20's were spent at Uppercrust Bakery, as I went to UT and then worked in the area. It's such a sweet, chill, local gem! My favorite & most sentimental part of Uppercrust is getting a giant cinnamon roll and cup of coffee (both of which are SO good here), and sitting for a couple hours with my bestie out on their patio. Now I bring my kids when we are back in Austin for a visit, because Uppercrust has become THEIR sentimental place too.Other menu items worthy of a mention: their cheese soup and tuna salad. Absolutely delicious.Go early on weekends if you want to get a cinnamon roll. They're famous for these, and they sell out. Also note that they are closed on Sundays!

Wednesday 7/24/2024 & Thursday 7/25/2024I was in Austin last year and missed out going here but now I'm back to officially try this bakery.On the first day, I was too late (came around 2 pm) to get cinnamon rolls as they were all sold out so I ended up getting a carrot cake slice $3.98.On the second day, I arrived significantly earlier than the previous day and got the cinnamon roll $3.25, Apple turnover $3.85, and apple pie slice $4.95.- The carrot cake was the best item I had and tasted better with each bite.- The cinnamon roll was good and soft but tasted significantly better when warmed up. Also the rolls are covered in cinnamon sugar rather than icing. - The apple turnover was a huge MISS: there was a lacking of apple filling and the bread texture was somewhat burnt.- The apple pie was alright but I did not expect it to be very cold when I got it but after warming it up it was a bit better. Overall, it's a decent bakery but the main items I'd recommend would of course be the carrot cake and the cinnamon roll.

Came for a Sunday breakfast, and everything was amazing. Marzipan Pocket was flavorful, pastry-filling ratio was perfect. Bearclaw was crispy on the outside, with a balanced chocolate and raspberry filling. Cold brew was canned, in retrospect, I should have just ordered iced coffee lol, but I do appreciate the ice machine I get to pour the cold brew with. The place is busy but still isn't too hard to find a table; the whole place felt bright and fresh. Love the vibrant atmosphere in the bakery. There are a lot of items to choose from: pastries, cakes, cookies, quiche. Overall just an absolutely amazing place for a chill morning! Will for sure come again soon.p.s. not my own purchase, but also want to point out from experience the Gateau Marisa cake is heavenly!

I wanted a cake for an election party and asked my friend, a pastry chef. She said Upper Crust is where she goes for goodies. I ordered an Italian Vanilla Cake. I wanted a fun message and three fun staff brainstormed with me. I'll let you guess what an Austinite put on the cake, but by the end of the night that cake was the only thing that kept us from weeping. Great ambiance and sandwich foods.

If you are craving any sweets such as cakes and pies go give upper crust a visit. Everything is made fresh daily and I recommend getting there early they will sell out of items. You can get a slice of cake or pie but they also do custom whole made cakes. We got a slice of their carrot cake and cheesecake. Both were really delicious. Service was great there was a line when we arrived and they worked through it rather quickly. This is definitely a spot I can't wait to go back to again.
