I love this bar! And I have very high expectations as a dedicated Spider House fan. The patio is still lovely. I like how often they have DJs and cute little events like trivia. The British bartender has obliged my BFF multiple times by making up some non-alcoholic sweet drinks for her. Great vibes all around.I think all the reviews complaining about one of the bartenders are hilarious. Do yall expect bartenders to treat you like you're at daycare? Sometimes you have to win over a bartender at your neighborhood bar a bit, before you have rapport. That's the charm!! Also I think he's like an award winning bartender. Yall gotta chill

Service needs to get better. The old bartender with a five o clock shadow refused to take our order at the outside ordering area until we waited 15 min +. When he did come up and I asked if we could order here he said "there are menus here right?" He was very rude. It sucks because the ambiance of this bar is great but he ruined the experience. I hope they can move on from him. Everyone else here was youthful but he was terrible and did not fit the vibe at all. When leaving, we saw him talking to some patrons negatively about customers. Definitely not someone you would like working at a bar with young drinkers or college kids. I would've liked to order more drinks but the experience caused by him made my entire group uneasy.Edit: I see he has been complained about quite a bit before (Ty) but ownership hasn't done anything. It's a shame because without him, this would be my favorite bar in the area.

Oh how I dig this place. It's got the quintessential old school Austin vibe flying high.Probably one of my fave places to see live music.Li'l Nonna's being parked out front is a supreme bonus and same can be said for Zucchini Kill Bakery located on the property.Straight up proper vibes with a slew of groovy patrons, performers, and employees.It's like family.Prices are reasonable and the drinks are amazeballs!!

Cozy, lowkey spot with street parking in the back. On the edge of campus off Guad. Clientele is mostly students (surprise) but we were able to grab a quick drink on our way to dinner. Server was friendly and made conversation. Spacious inside, at least when we went on a Thursday night. Reminiscent of the good ol Spider House days.

I came here for a drink and to chill on a Sunday afternoon. I got a delicious spicy margarita and Zucchini Kills waffle cream pie. Both were delicious. There are plenty of places to relax inside or outside. You have other options for food and Zucchini Kill bakery store on site. Parking is on the street and can be challenging depending when you go. Overall a great place to grab a drink and chill

Been here a couple of times but never really bothered to review it. All in all, my favorite Austin bar. The perfect way to end a long day. Service can be a hit or miss depending on who's at the bar but either way the drinks will be decent and the vibes amazing.

Beautiful bar! Spacious patio with beautiful lighting. The bartender is splendid and knowledgeable about the drinks. Their happy hour is 3-6 pm. Although they don't have food there is a food truck that comes on the weekends, which I am looking forward to trying! They also have a cute little tattoo shop in the back of the patio area. 5/5 will be returning.

The short: great drinks, people watching and flanked by amazing approachable eats. Dog friendly.The long: we had time to kill and Tweedy's bar caught our eye. It was a rainy overcast day in Austin but Tweedy's features both indoor and outdoor seating (both covered and uncovered). Its outdoor seating has a tiered /graded style which makes it fun for people watching. Flanked by counter culture and zucchini kills for eats you really can't go wrong. Complex frozen cocktails and a oh so solid Sazerac. They are dog friendly and have a poop bag station for all your canine needs. Tweedy's is making the short list.

It's a relief to see that others are also a little confused about the poorly-mannered bartender, I thought I had done something to upset him! The younger guy, with the dyed black hair and kind of cool goth style, was super friendly, but his coworker (stubble, kind of looks like Normal SpongeBob, "Ty" according to other reviews) was determined to ignore anyone trying to order from him, and his banter (usually a staple of a fun hole-in-the-wall!) was sort of uninspired and mean-spirited.Anyway, outside of that I love this place! Been coming since it was still Spiderhouse, and they've kept the lovely ambiance and decor. I like the crowd who drinks there as well, and while the drinks are pricey, you get your moneys worth! Definitely sit outside if you can, I love the lights out there.

This place has a very nice and cute atmosphere! last night was my first time here and the bartender Will was very friendly and made me a spicy peach drink that was delicious! will definitely be coming back
