Turnstile Coffee Shop Bar and Restaurant

I first found Turnstile Coffee during the 2022 World Cup. I was looking for a place to sit and watch England play, and luckily this restaurant/bar was showing their games. SCORE!They have a separate building which is a drive through, so if you're in need of a coffee, quickly....they got you covered. Inside, it's a typical coffee, food and beer bar, but I like that. It's small and intimate with a great chilled atmosphere. Try not to go here when Austin FC is playing, because it's pretty much next-door to the stadium. IT. GETS. CRAZY!!They have a massive selection of drinks, ranging from cocktails to craft beers...I don't drink, so can't tell you how good they are I like the coffee from here, it's tasty and rich, with a great consistency.When it comes to food, I think this is reason this place is so good. They don't have a massive menu, but what they do have, is really well made, good ingredients and very flavorful. My favorite item on the menu is the JAMMER jerk-chicken sandwich, which is sweet, smokey and tangy and it goes great with their house cut garlic fries on the side (you pay extra for fries ). My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that it's very pricey for what you get. $18 for a sandwich and fries is steep, then you add a drink on top, and quickly goes north of $20 for lunch.Price aside, it's a great place to meet friends, drink and eat high-quality bar food.CHECKIT OUT

They make a mean coffee! Like so good. They offer cocktails and beer too.Baked goods, etc.Super and I mean super cool staff.

Ooh the vibe - and the way staff treats you - amazing! Just enough inside seating with plenty of outdoor covered seating . Beers were great , food options were limited . We went with the Turnstile burger and fries , matcha latte - everything was perfect! Def recommend!Parking is limited. Great place to meet with friends , or work or just chill!

Came here to work remote and grab a coffee and this spot was perfect! I love that this place is also a bar and they have some pastries and breakfast tacos. There was a good amount of seating but I sat up at the bar so that I could plug in my laptop. The staff were super nice and the coffee was great. Definitely will be back!

Cafe mocha with a shot of bittersweet chocolate. Oh so good! It's what our favorite barista Matt suggested and he was spot on! Turnsrile is an absolutely great place to have your first drink of the day and then your last drink of the day. Pretty cool!

I am definitely a fan of this place. The drinks are nice! I've been able to try the coffee and the bar side of things here and have zero complaints. The Pretzel bites are pretty good too, I haven't had any other food, but they do offer Beyond burger patty substitutes. I'll have to try one at some point. The staff is all nice and patient, you can't really ask for much else. There is more outdoor seating than indoor, so be prepared for that. It's all sandy and gravely outside but nicely set up and spacious. Pretty much every time I've come here there has been a group taking over a table to two. There's a lot of room to go around thankfully. I've come here with groups of varying sizes and had no issues getting a table. I'll be back for sure.

My previous trip to Austin, someone told me to try the Turnstile burger bar... this time around, I wasn't going to miss it!I had the verde burger with some fries, holy moly it was a burst of flavor! It came on crunchy yet soft Texas Toast, a little kick to it, but not overpowering.The service was amazing, super friendly.The seating is ample both inside and outside, nice decor everything is clean and well taken care of.I'll be back here next time in Austin.

My husband and I met up with a friend who was visiting Austin over the weekend and she suggested we'd meet over coffee at Turnstile on a Sunday morning. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside, I had an iced chai latte with oat milk - I'm not a coffee drinker and always opt for chai at coffee shops. I was hoping for more spice, but didn't really have high expectations because it seems like the place is suited more for Beer+Burgers so was okay with it! I also had a cinnamon swirl slice of bread and it was pretty dry. The service was great - our drinks were prepared right after we placed our order and got them right away. There are about four large tables inside and picnic tables outside, pet friendly of course. But from a distance the place seems small. They have a private lot and we didn't have issues finding parking on a Sunday morning at 10am.My first time at Turnstile I had a beer and really enjoyed it, don't remember which one it was since that was 4 years ago, but if we are around the area with friends and it doesn't seem too busy, I'd probably suggest we'd stop and enjoy some beer+burgers.

This will likely be one of many reviews for this place from me. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. It was my wife and i's first time here and we were meeting up with a friend. We arrived on a Sunday around 10 AM and there was little to no people. Inside are maybe 3-4 tables, but they have a great patio/outdoor area, perfect for larger groups. I noticed two TVs, one inside and one outside, which are probably popular for sporting event afternoons/evenings.For this visit we kept it very basic--just a drink and a pastry. I decided to order an iced latte with vanilla and also ordered cinnamon swirl pastry. The latte was okay, could have been sweeter, and the pastry was really dry. Average items with average quality. The bartender at that time was really kind and attentive from the moment we walked through the door. Definitely great customer service the whole time. We'll be back to try their lunch/dinner items as well as drinks! Again, looks like a great gathering place!
