I've been a fan for a while now, and every time I go, I'm reminded why it's one of my favorite spots. My husband and I decided to try Tumble 22 Chicken as we were in the area. We pulled up, parked, and went inside. Upon entering there was a sign that said seat yourself. So we sat in a booth. The restaurant has a lot of windows so on a sunny day it's probably pretty well lit. It was cloudy during our visit so the restaurant felt a little dark but it was lit up a little bit with the lights. The restaurant has a lot of seating with long tables and high stools, it has a bar area, and a few booths. We sat at a booth.After sitting we waited a few minutes before we were greeted by our waiter who checked to see what we wanted to drink. After asking for water he quickly left and returned with the water promptly. He asked if we were ready to order but I hadn't had a chance to look at the menu. They had a QR code that you could use to look at the menu, or you could look it up online. The waiter also offered a physical copy to me if I wanted it. I used my phone to see what I wanted. He left to give me time. I decided pretty quick but we had to wait as he was busy taking care of other customers. I decided to order a small order of Dirty Fries which is fries, with queso, hot chicken, and pickles. I also ordered OG Chicken Sandwich with no heat or painless and it comes with a fried chicken breast, coleslaw, pickles, and mayo. The Dirty Fries were good. I forgot to tell the waiter no spice or painless and the chicken was spicy. I tasted the kick right away but then I got used to it. The fries were soggy from all of the ingredients but they were good mixed in with everything. The queso on the fries was okay. The OG Chicken Sandwich was tasty. The chicken was a good size, it was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The mix of the chicken with the coleslaw, pickles, and mayo gave the sandwich texture and flavor. My husband and I decided to take a piece of pie for a sweet to eat at home. He ordered the Buttermilk Pie to go. We got our pie quickly and then we were on our way. Unfortunately when we got home I was surprised to see a slice of pecan pie instead of the buttermilk pie. I was a little disappointed at first as I was really wanting the buttermilk pie but the pecan pie did not disappoint. It was delicious and sweet. Overall it was a good stopping places to eat. The restaurant was clean with different seating options, the service was okay, and the food was good. I'd return in the future.

Tumble 22 "Hot Chicken" seemed to be all the rage. According to friends it was a "must try" coupled with suggestions from Yelp, so I did. I selected the two-piece dark chicken combo to eat with "hot" heat (several levels of heat available to select from), which came with two sides (my choices included the fries and mac & cheese). The chicken came out steaming hot and aesthetically pleasing. The drumstick was stacked on top of the thigh with a long wood stick stuck through the pieces with two pickles on top. The mac & cheese was creamy with soft noodles...so delicious. The French fries were uneventful and cold...likely will not have those again. I bought a piece of pecan pie "to go." OMG...that was the best part of the meal! This pecan chocolate toffee chunk pie was divine...crust was buttery without being soggy, not too sweet nor too much gooey stuff in the center, ingredients were fresh, nuts were crunchy, and different textures made the pie experience super appealing!Kelly was my server. She was attentive in a quiet way. She made sure your needs were met but did not have a high talk persona, which was appreciated. Tumble 22 had a diner feel and down-home vibe. While the restaurant was relatively packed, there was a high stream of online orders being picked up. This is a clear indication that this is very popular restaurant.Enjoy Tumble 22...I will definitely return and bring others...

I'm a huge tumble 22 fan - usually go to lake Austin and brag to ppl about best chicken in Austin and talk about it in other cities. But, like many successful businesses, the multiple locations and/or expansion can dilute a name (less focus on strong operations and oversight and more on growth) Now this location has a great decor - both inside and outside. So I was excited for it!However, it didn't seem very clean inside or well managed. Service was a little ehh (in stark contrast to make Austin)My food was fantastic (cobb salad), but the chick's chick dish seemed not fresh/warm/cooked enough. Sides were good though. So overall disappointed because of my high standards and expectations with tumble 22. Hope you can do better. Would probably not return to this one and will stick to other location.

Super delicious and juicy chicken! I ordered the 8 count nugget with hot spice level and they were super crispy and tender. The hot level wasn't really spicy at all to me, so next time I'll try the mo' hot instead. The dirty fries were delicious but the fries were a bit cold and the queso was a bit dried up. The service was great, the chicken was flavorful, and had a good dining experience!

I was put on to Tumble 22 this past weekend and I went back the next day for another sandwich because it was absolutely insane. I could literally eat this every meal 7 days a week but then I'd be huge. The first night we went there with a pretty big group and were seated outdoors, and the server was cool, and let me charge my phone in the back because it was almost out of battery. The orders came out pretty quick considering we had a bunch of people and it was legit. I ordered an OG with level 0 heat and it was the absolute loud pack. I've had the chicken sandwiches at Chik Fil A, Popeyes, Burger King, etc. a few years ago when the chicken sandwich wars began but this blows them out of the water and its not even close. The second day we went back I got the OG again with level 1 of the heat which on the menu says jalapenos without the seeds in, and it was the perfect amount of heat in my opinion. Obviously, hot chicken is their thing so I'm sure if you crank it up to Dang Hot it will be very spicy but the "hot" level of heat was to me the right amount of spice to thoroughly enjoy my sandwich. We agreed that the top 2 sides were the mac n cheese and the broccoli salad. Safe to say I will be back. 11/10 would recommend.

Service was fast and attentive. The time I spent waiting for my food was so short. The restaurant is clean and always busy - be prepared to wait in a line. The chicken sandwich was amazing! I got the southern sandwich and the fried chicken thigh was so juicy and flavorful. I strongly recommend this place! This is my new favorite chicken sandwich spot in Austin!

Good, as always. Quality of the food here remains consistent throughout all their locations, which I'm grateful for. Decent prices, and love their Mac n cheese. The service was quick and laid back atmosphere. I always typically choose Tumble when I'm craving some Nashville hot chicken

First time here last night. I did an online order and saw a promo for free schezuan fries. I honestly found this place by accident and saw the food reviews. I love fried chicken, so I gave it a try and was not disappointed. I got the 2 boneless thigh meal and it was a huge portion!! I ordered slaw, beans, and the free fries too. I had so much food for less than $18. I was shocked. I wanted to try all the dipping sauces, so I got a side of them and they were 50 cents each. I wish I ate there so things would be hotter, but I took it back to my hotel. The chicken was hot and crispy still. The slaw was delicious, fresh, sweet, and crunchy. The beans had a lot of flavor and were really good. I enjoyed the fries as well with the chicken chopped up on them. Everything paired well together. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely come back and eat there. The employees were nice as well. A woman helped me get my order and poured my sweet tea for me. They looked like they were trying to close and it was around 8:30pm. Very satisfied with the price and quality and quantity of food that I got. I wasn't expecting that at all! See you next time

Solid spicy fried chicken, deviled eggs, salads with fried chicken and more. Great service AND PARKING at this location!! Casual ambiance with comfy seating and great service.And PIES !
