Be aware the parking lot is tiny. I have only ever had take out from here, so I wont comment on the sit down dine-in experience. Maybe I'll stop and sit inside one day.So most recently I ordered online and they gave me a range of time that the food would be ready, but it was actually ready about 5 mins ahead of time. That was pretty nice. I go in and there's a clear place to talk to the host and pick up. It looked like there were folks waiting to be seated when I went in. The take out is in plastic bowl containers that can be microwaved if needed. You might need it as the portions are generous. My Pad Thai with tofu was dinner and the next day's lunch. No problems there because it is delightful. It's salty, sweet, sour, and incredibly balanced.

As someone who gets sick often, finding a go-to noodle soup spot is a must and Tuk Tuk is officially it. The staff here are incredibly kind, providing some of the best service around. It's all counter service but they have a nice outdoor patio. They also run an affordable convenience shop stocked with Asian pantry staples at prices that feel straight out of 2010.Their beef noodle soup is exceptional; I even used the broth for my next two meals because it was that good. My partner is a fan of their flavorful Thai curries too. Between the heartwarming dishes and the amazing service, this spot is a solid choice.

Great first visit to Tuk Tuk! This is a spot right by my house, but due to some longer takeout wait times, I haven't tried until now!The prices are damn good, and the portions are decent! My Pad Thai was very flavorful, though I opted for medium spice and it was very mild. I did get some packets of sambal olek from the very kind staff, which was a good supplement. The noodles were done in about 35 minutes, which was much faster than they had quoted me! I wish there were more veggies and perhaps a bit more chicken, but for $13 I can't complain! The restaurant was clean and well decorated. I'll look forward to coming back and trying some other curries/noodle dishes!

I order Uber Eats- the delivery service was horrible but has nothing to do with this review. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao with tofu. You don't know what spicy level you'll get. The last time I ordered level 3 it wasn't very hot. This time at this restaurant it was hot. Not so hot that it ruined the taste. They fry their tofu so it's not soggy. Flavor was on point and the portion was just right. I would definitely order here again if I'm ever back in Austin.

Probably one of my favourite Thai food in Austin!! We ordered to go via Uber eat, the food arrived within an hour and the food was still warm! I love that you can choose the spice level and we chose spice lv 3 on the pineapple fried rice, lv 2 on the pad Thai, and none on the pad see ew. I think level 3 def has a kick to it, will try the 4 or 5 next time! All three dishes were amazing to us, love that they were full of flavours. The fried rice in particular was fresh and fragrant. You really can't go wrong with their pad Thai and pad see ew, it tastes very close to the traditional Thai food! Will def order again or visit the actually restaurant. 5 out of 5!!

Didn't realize Tuk Tuk Thai Cafe was take out only, however, the staff was super accommodating and allowed us to eat inside at one of the tables. We ordered steamed dumplings, the pork vermicelli, and beef pad woon sen. The food was very good and light. I appreciated the portion as well. Overall very nice and look forward to coming back!

Ordered online via Uber Eats, and I was really surprised with how delicious l the food was (as I expect online orders to be fast and not taste as fresh than dining in)! You may choose the spice level out of 5. It was my first time trying this place and got the pineapple curry fried rice (spice level 3/5), pad Thai (level 2), and pad see ew (no spice). The food arrived warm and after opening the lids, the whole room was filled with the mouthwatering scent of a sweet and spicy aroma. I usually love Thai food and this is added to my list of favorites. For a sweeter dish, pad see ew is the go-to. For spicy, I think the fried rice is a great choice. Can't wait to try more!

Always our favorite Thai spot in south Austin! We've always enjoyed the generous serving sizes and a huge menu of dishes that are all stellar. We've always enjoyed particularly choose the basil fried rice, green and yellow curries, the pad Thai and other traditional rice dishes. They've knocked out everything and always friendly and fast service, as well as continuing to be fresh with delivery.

I've had the pleasure of enjoying Tuk Tuk Thai Cafe for the past four years, and it has remained a constant favorite in my rotation. Their Panang Curry and Masaman Curry dishes are absolutely fantastic consistently delivering vibrant, fresh flavors of basil and kaffir lime. The spice level is always spot-on, tailored perfectly to my preferences. But what truly sets Tuk Tuk apart is the exceptional experience I've had with them this past summer. I'm particularly fond of Som Tum (Green Papaya Salad). However, finding a chef willing to make this dish without fish sauce is no easy feat. When I recently requested a vegetarian version, I was initially told it might be difficult. Imagine my delight when the friendly staff returned to inform me that the chef was going to give it a try.Since then, Tuk Tuk has been crafting a fully-vegetarian Som Tum just for me, and it's a part of every one of my Tuk Tuk meals. Not only that, but the staff now recognizes me as soon as I walk through the door which adds a personal touch to every visit.Tuk Tuk Thai Cafe offers more than just incredible food; it's their commitment to customer satisfaction that truly shines. Their service is consistently friendly, accommodating, and warm, making every meal feel like a special occasion. In a city brimming with dining options, Tuk Tuk stands out as one of the highest-quality traditional Thai restaurants in Austin.

I hold some great memories eating here, first when I was dating my wife. Everything we ever ordered was very delicious. I feel theirs is a kitchen that strives to deliver authentic and high-quality Thai dishes and soup, as opposed to phoning it in with a mildly pleasing, very Americanized and halfhearted rendition of true Thai cuisine. The service was always friendly and attentive. Getting out of the parking lot can be challenging at times. But the meal will be well worth it!
