Tortas Y Tacos El Chilango

THE BIG: What is better than a gas station taco food truck. That's a rhetorical question but almost nothing! Located in Riverside right outside of the Shell gas station. Parking is within the Shell gas station.THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here on a Thursday night and people were zooming in and out of the place. Ordering was fast, however I wish they had the prices up on the food truck. They were empty for some reason.We got the Torta chilanga which was huge! Had a nice flavored egg, sausage, veggies and they have a sauce station right outside. For tacos, we got three tacos that was the al pastor, bistec, and pork. All delicious and the corn tortillas were nice and thick.THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the damage done for 3 tacos and a torta was ~$24. Pretty decent Mexican and a great value.

This is my 6th time coming to this food truck and it never disappoints, I found this place when I drove past it one night around 1am and they were the only place open. Today when I walked up the cashier already knew what I wanted, they have a special that's 4 el pastor tacos for $10, and lord those tacos are DELICIOUS ! I wish I spoke more Spanish so I could converse with the employees, but even with the language barrier, their service never fails.

Love the vibe of this truck! Tacos in a gas station parking lot - can't get more Austin then that!The tacos are very normal for tacos in the area. The Campechano and Asada were great!There are several salsas available, all of them are very spicy and I have a strong spice tolerance. The best is the creamy green - so tasty and a good amount of spice.Tacos were good priced - 4 tacos for $12!

This little hidden gem is located in the parking lot of a gas station but let me tell you the food was BOMB! There are a couple of tables outside of the food truck and the menu offers a variety of Mexican staple dishes from tacos, burritos, tortas and so much more! It was so hard to choose but I ended up getting two tacos and a burrito. I wanted to try their al pastor because it is always my go to protein. I also tried their asada beef and it was phenomenal! The burrito was so yummy too and it was huge! Paired the meal with a cold jarritos and it was the perfect treat.I am so glad i stopped by and tried this place. There are many hidden food trucks in Riverside but this one is by far one of my favorites!

I am honestly blown away that this place doesn't have more reviews; every time I go the place is packed so I guess they are doing alright without yelp The best street tacos I've had in Austin; their carne asada is the most juicy, flavorful asada ever! Anytime we hang at Jackalope we always have to get tacos on the way home. Salsa bar is bomb too, just heads up there is no mild option

tortas are still HUGE, salsa is super spicy tbh, very much authentic mexican. Just wish there wasn't so much excess sausage. You can call in an order too!

Best tacos to the day. I've had tacos all throughout Austin. This by far is the best food truck in Austin Texas you will not be disappointed.

hands down, best tacos in austin. i'm from dallas, so i know what good street tacos are, and their tacos is the closest to what i get back in dallas. very authentic, good size, and good price tacos. flavor is really good too! favorite: carne asada

Food was good but for the price definitely not worth it, $27 for 7 tacos and one jalapeño.Did a separate transaction for drinks and it came out to $8.66 for one coke and one manzanita. Prices are ridiculous

Was Really looking forward to this place!! We picked up some tortas and when we got home and started eating them we immediately noticed one of the tortas had something sticking out. After pulling on it, we realized it was a baby roach inside of the torta. This completely ruined our meal and we were left dissatisfied and hungry. Was definitely not expecting this and am really dissapointed. Would not eat here again.
