Torchy's Tacos

Este lugar tiene muy buen ambiente, te puedes sentar afuera o adentro, los tacos son demacioado diferentes a un taco Mexicano , ellos son más Texmex.Ellos cada mes tienen un taco diferente, exclusivo para cada mes, después de eso lo quitan del menú, yo ordené dos tacos con carne de cerdo llamado Carnitas con queso cotija enésima, a mi paladar demasiado rico, el queso derretido con chip delicioso con un toque picante muy agradable, tienen varias locaciones en la ciudad, el servicio es muy amable y el local muy limpio

Excellent breakfast tacos from Torchy's Tacos in NB today. The chorizo had a nice flavor, and the eggs were perfectly cooked but still had a nice texture to them. Very pleased with the quick service today. Plenty of inside seating or drive thru is an option if you're on to go.

Staff are friendly, place is decorated cute, and food was good! Creative tacos at this place. My husband and I shared a Baja shrimp, republican, holy diver, and the hogfather. He also had a steak fajita taco to himself :) his favorite was that one, mine was probably the Baja shrimp with grilled shrimp or republican! They are a bit pricey, but we had to try it! Glad we did though.

Queso is as good as I make at home,tacos always good as well although I tend to order the same but consistency a good sign!

We actively searched for a Torchy's, which is Phil's first stop whenever he's in town, based on "Somebody Feed Phil" (S6E3). Though he went to the flagship, which he calls "Tex-Mex, not Mexican-Mexican", the food's the same, including the green chile cheese sauce, for which he said, "if you're coming to Texas, you're gonna need a little queso." We also got the tacos, which he calls "Texas tacos" that let you "feel the Texas". The menu has lots of interesting, food-trucky choices. I liked my unique fried chicken "trailer park" taco, but preferred the green chile pork. My wife got a fake meat "mofaux" taco and a fried avocado one. She thought her tacos lacked flavor, but, like Phil, she dipped them in the queso. The guacamole, margaritas, and food make this restaurant quality with fast food convenience, like self-ordering and soda refills (with this being Texas, they always have Diet Dr. Pepper!), with the prices being somewhere in between.

I wanted some breakfast tacos before heading back home to CA. My friends couldn't think of any spots other than Torchy's, which they said was a fast casual spot with great margaritas. I said sure let's do it, and I'm glad I did! Perfect breakfast taco experience! Clean, empty restaurant with quick service. Portions were good and the flour tortillas were so good. Great spice on the tacos. I would definitely go back!

So....I don't live in Texas anymore but I used to live in Austin. Torchy's was a hot spot for my and my bestie since 2006. I hadn't been in forever and loved that they were popping up all over the place. This place is fun on names, fun on flavor, and just an overall cool place to meet up. Inflation has really hit this place since I've been though. At almost $5 a taco, it's not someplace I would go regularly. I mean the tacos and flavors are on point but it will stay a nostalgic memory for me that I will come back for every now and then. We came during a Texas school day around 11am so there was only one other table there. We definitely beat the weekend and week night crowds. Our food came out fast and hot. I will say again...the flavors are on point. Very innovative and creative with good flavors before it was such a popular thing. I missed one of my favorite tacos and couldn't figure out which one it was. I guess they changed it to make it a bit more family friendly. Of course, I didn't know what it was until my friend explained what I was ordering. So....I missed my Dirty Sanchez. That was my favorite back in the day. The classics were good: Egg was cooked well and they don't skimp on it. So it is a full taco but still too pricey for me for an everyday taco place. I got a Democrat & the barbacoa is really good and not greasy. The avocado, pico, and extras make it even better. Also got a Trailer Park and I really wanted to 'get it trashy' but that added like something around over $1 more! Yea...no thank you for the overcharged add on. We also got the fried avocado taco and green chili pork. The fried avocado was really nice and so was the green chili pork. It was nice and moist, not dry. Overall the food is really pretty good and fun. You will enjoy it and I do recommend the queso also. It's kind of pricey but I guess that is to be said for most food establishments nowadays.

I came down to the NB branch for the first time since the San Marcos branch closed down (devastating, thanks for asking) and I had a birthday coupon for a free full chips and queso. I received a half order, with guacamole despite ordering it with no guac :(

It's our go to on Sundays after church. It's a place everyone with allergies or dietary restrictions can eat and have flavors. Food is always brought quickly. Plus, we are a large family and it's a restaurant that can accommodate us!

Consistent and delicious as expected with Torchy's! I am loving the special salmon Baja right now (sans pickled onions). They don't have the "local" type soft drinks like some of the first Torchys I've been to, but they have good tea and they're a welcome cumulative site both here and in Orlando Florida where I've been traveling for 2 weeks. Cashiers were friendly and helpful. Location was clean and maintained. Glad to see this addition to New Braunfels as my vacation and business trip spot.
