Jerk Chicken Meal
The Food Truck.
Snapper filet in brown stew
Inside the plantain. It is terrible that this establishment would serve this food to its supportive community. I will never eat here again.

Tony's Jamaican Food is an absolute gem! We had a 5-star experience from start to finish. We shared a Jerk chicken, rice, beans, and veggie meal, and added the Jamaican sweet bread. The jerk chicken had great flavor, and everything was cooked to perfection. It was the first place we went to once we landed in Austin, TX on Valentine's Day 2025, and it did not disappoint. We highly recommend Tony's Jamaican Food for anyone looking for authentic and delicious Jamaican cuisine. Thanks,Ashley & Lindsey HeadVisiting Austin, TX from San Diego, CA

It taste good but it's like fudge. You can only have so much of it. The flavors are very strong, but again, I've not had much of Jamaican food, I got the combination plate, 3 different meats, one of them was too spicy, could not eat it. And I am Mexican. Not sure if it's supposed to be spice

I'm thrilled to share my exceptional experience at Tony's Jamaican Food Truck in Austin, a hidden gem that transported me to the beautiful island of Jamaica. As a vegetarian, I was a bit skeptical about trying a Caribbean food truck, but Tony's exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, Tony made us feel like family. He greeted us with a warm smile and asked about our dietary preferences, making sure to recommend the best options for our group. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the Irish moss, which was hands-down the best I've ever had. The creamy texture and subtle sweetness were perfectly balanced, and I could taste the love and care that went into making it.What truly impressed me, however, was the speed and efficiency of the service. We ordered a large quantity of food, and Tony had it ready in less than 10 minutes. The quality of the food was exceptional, with generous portions and flavors that were both bold and authentic. As a vegetarian, I was pleased to find that Tony's had a variety of options that catered to my dietary needs. The vegetarian dishes were just as flavorful and satisfying as the meat-based options, and I loved the fact that Tony was happy to accommodate our requests and make modifications to suit our tastes. My friends, who are meat-eaters, were equally impressed with their dishes. We ordered a large variety of food, including jerk chicken, beef patties, and curry goat, and every single dish was a hit. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the seasonings were perfectly balanced. What I loved most about Tony's, however, was the sense of community and warmth that permeated the entire experience. Tony and his team were like a big, happy family, and they made us feel like we were part of the crew. The prices were also very reasonable, making Tony's an excellent value for the quality and quantity of food you receive.Overall, I would highly recommend Tony's Jamaican Food Truck to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Caribbean meal in Austin. The Irish moss is a must-try, and the vegetarian options are just as flavorful and satisfying as the meat-based dishes.Rating Breakdown:Service: 5/5Food: 5/5Ambiance: 5/5Value: 5/5Overall: 5/5Recommendation:If you're looking for a delicious and authentic Caribbean meal in Austin, look no further than Tony's Jamaican Food Truck. The Irish moss is a must-try, and the vegetarian options are just as flavorful and satisfying as the meat-based dishes. Be sure to order a variety of dishes and try the different flavors and seasonings. Tony's Jamaican food has a nice outdoor space, with covered seating. I tried the curry chicken and the jerk chicken. I enjoyed that the meats were tender and had good flavor. I also appreciated that all meals come with rice and peas, veggies (cabbage, carrots), and plantains. I think for the price, it's a good deal. The staff were friendly too. There is some free street parking nearby.

Food tour ATX led me to Tony's while in search for some Caribbean grub in the area. What seemed to be a quiet day for the food truck location, I was able to grab a meal fairly quick. Decently priced and nicely portioned, I went with the small oxtail plate along with a patty & ginger beer. Combined all three came up to $28. Overall the oxtails were tender and fresh, however a tad bit small. Tony's meals come with cabbage, rice & beans, along with plantains which made for a filling meal. Wait time was minimum, service was good. I'm definitely be interested in visiting the brick & mortar location to see the vibes. The food truck has patio seating should you want to eat immediately rather than taking it home.

This local food truck serves really good jamaican food at a conveninent location. Street parking only, and there are a few tables nearby. Food was cooked right then and there, so there was a little bit of a wait. We went early in the morning when it opened so they did not have their Beef Patties yet, be warned!Food we got:- oxtail large plate: oxtail was super tender, but I felt like it was a little small (4/5)- jerk chicken large plate: I was shocked to find out that I enjoyed this dish way more! The chicken was super tender and juicy! The flavor profile was perfect, came back for seconds (5/5)Personally, I felt like the portion was a little small for the price. The cabbage was delicious, but they were more rice heavy.

First time having Jamaican food in Austin, and was pleasantly surprised. I got the jerk chicken plate which came with 2 decently sized pieces (only one leg piece), with rice and beans, plantains, and some veggies. It was a well portioned meal for $13 and was seasoned well. My only critique is that the chicken tasted a LITTLE bit dry on the inside. There was plenty of sauce and seasoning on the outside. Maybe it's because I'm Pakistani and am used to eating halal chicken that's naturally more tender/juicy. But my friend and I came 10 minutes to close and was still met with decent service, and I can tell that the people running the truck are genuine hard workers.

This place has been clutch for a minute. Find me a better oxtail in the city than here? Rice and cabbage are tasty.Only gripe, is that sometime the things you're craving are out. Good for them, not so much good for you when your mind is set.Rating: 4 - 4.5

I ordered the curry goat plate. The food was average in my opinion. The reason why I scored this place three stars is because they mixed goat meat with beef in hopes that I wouldn't notice, I guess. But I'm Nigerian, I can tell the difference between beef and goat. That was very disappointing because the plate was $28 and half of the meat was beef.
